  1. John Boyle has apparently called an emergency board meeting at the SPL.
  2. Great news on Hammell - although further proof that as a club we're still no' getting the joined up thinking thing right.
  3. Interesting stuff. I thought they just balanced up the home / away status of the teams that are in each half. i.e. Shellic - would be at home as we've already been away twice and R*****s would be away as we've had them at home twice. So like el-pidge I was counting on only two home games - Shellic and Dungdee Utd
  4. Was listening to the Beeb interview with Houston - who (at that time) thought Dixon was unfortunate and that O' Brien had gone over the ball and put his studs through the poor wee scone's sock. He might have reconsidered since then as overall he was quite complementary about us.
  5. Don't be a fucking wet blanket then! Stop moaning on here like a big girl and get yer jersey back to the shop. If you get something personalised you can't EXCHANGE it if you find out it doesn't go with your complexion or have had 12 pints and four kebabs on the way home and it's now too tight or any other event like that. i.e. if it's in pristine condition but you've just changed your mind somehow. That's basically because any shop cant put it back on display and sell it to somebody else . But if anything is faulty it can go back. Surely a man of your calibre knew that. Even if you didn't, phoning the shop to moan would be directing your angst in the right direction (i.e. there are folk there that could help you) instead you decide like oh so many to moan pointlessly to the folk on here! Mmmmmmm lemme think - who's the tosser / fud really? C'mon Gaag use that bulging brain of yours
  6. Days like yesterday happen. The proof of the pudding will be next week though - a big chance to make amends. Europe is still well do-able. Loads of twists and turns to come.
  7. For such a self proclaimed intelligent guy you can't half spout some pish. If you bought it (name on it or not) and its gone to shit take it back and get it replaced as is your right - everybody knows that . if you make enough of a noise about it and the timing etc you might end up with a BOGOF.
  8. That's what Jim gannon said as well. there's a theme developing here
  9. Best trip for me was the 1-1 (i think) season opener in 1989 (i think). Cusack's first league goal. Right healthy 'well support on the terracing behind the goal (where the stand that Utd now occupy is). canny beat a healthy support bedecked in claret in amber on a right sunny day
  10. Brown's a wanker - he should have the decency to sign the contract and stop fucking the club about!
  11. So Gannon's a wanker - working his ticket. But Craig's an angel and Leeann's to get her finger out! I'm confused to the differing approaches to a very similar situation!
  12. Overall though - I think I'm more in favour of watching a young guy develop into our own team - in the way that so many have done in the past. Whether that's Phil, Clarky, Reynolds, Faddy, Hutch, Saunders or whoever. Sure there are shaky games and all that - but that's all part of the appeal. I like our tradition in throwing these guys in and reaping the rewards. I don't need to see the finished article in positions 1 to 11 every week - a few unpolished diamonds are what we've always been all about. Farming them out on loan, I suppose may be necessitated by the loss of the reserves, but it just seems to me like another we part of our tradition that we're losing.
  13. I get what you're saying Gaag, but like Jenno and The Duke etc. i think he'll be an excellent nay exceptional player if he adds to one aspect of his game - via a bit of strength / agression / stamina. I think the heavy close season burned him out and he probably could be doing with a targetted individual training program if he's not already on that. My point is that not all loan moves are 100% successfull for young guys. the one for Forbes was limited and he now finds himself back on the outskirts of the action - after a year at Dumbarton
  14. Calling Ross Forbes, Calling Ross Forbes, Ross Forbes are you recieving me?
  15. It's amazing how a simple adjustment in thinking is beyond some people
  16. I've dug out the post from Leeann post the R*****s game in Sept. So roughly 2400 ST Holders - Looks like a 5 - 6K crowd would be seen as a result for this game.
  17. The club should be looking to maximise the away support too - as we've seen from benefiting ourselves at Tynecastle - it makes for a cracking atmosphere.
  18. Surely season ticket holders don't view life like that. You buy yer book to support the club with money up front and benefit from a slight concessionary admission price should you manage to attend all the games. that's enough is it not. Why get bent out of shape when the club - who at best, without the sale of players, are on a break even basis - try out an incentive to get more people inside the ground. The challenge for every ST holder from now is to make arrangements with somebody to come along with them to a game and say to them - d'ye no' fancy headin to the ark more often. season ticket holders who view this as a breach of their trust / priviledged position need to have a wee word with themsels

    John Ruddy

At least we'd know what he'd expect wrt to Ts & Cs

I don't think we'll ever be able to spend £250K on a player whether agreed or not. If it was agreed it was never a realistic option. Those days are long gone and rightly so. I reckon we need to sell to the value of around £1M every year to fund operations going forward. So loan signings and very low cost or free transfers will continue to be the norm.
  21. Hallelujah to that brother!
  22. Where's the "don't be a dick" emoticon
