  1. Type it oot and PM me it - I'll drop it off to her on the way home. She lives in that field at the end of the dual carraigeway after Allanton. if we're quick I'll be able to get it to her before milking.

    John Ruddy

Ruddy is the best 'well keeper I've seen. He's a fair bit ahead of Sieb in my opinion. I think my first games at Fir Park were the last couple that Keith McRae played and the older fellas remember him as an excellent stopper. To introduce Graeme Smith into the same conversation is a bit strange. He had his moments but he ain't in the same league as the others.
  3. fatcalf nails it again. i'm pretty in addition to that tho, that broonie's non public comments will be scathing. speaking to someone who knows how he works - behind the cuddly oap exterior lurks a shrewd and capable character. i prefer the gannon approach though
  4. If it was a split second decision - rightly or wrongly - the flag would have been up straight away. he thought about it and flagged a week late fucking cheat of a man
  5. So we've moved on from Yass and need to find someone else - like a few of us said in that classic fun filled thread. He was having a decent game up til that point and he's been very decent of late. no need for the thread.
  6. That's the game where he WAS off, the whistle HAD been heard by everyone in the ground and he SHOULD have been booked for kicking the ball away. Hardly a comparison at all ya fud!
  7. Somebody should write to Hugh Dallas about this! Officials were as bad and as one-sided as I've seen at Fir Park since the bad old days of the 80s
  8. I don't think we've go many outs and I'm really fed up with us playing the 'poor us' card. We've got to be more in control of our own destiny However in defence vs St Mirren - their pitch was in place way before they started playing on it - it was in place while they we're fitting out the stands - so they have more than a few months on us.
  9. We'll hump 'em although will need to keep an eye on Kyle Lavatory Confuscious he say : Beware of useress stliker on bad lun as he enter rand of fir tlee!
  10. Would be better if we could sign a lizard or some other creature that could turn in a sandpit.
  11. I don't know what the answer is with all this and I've no idea whether we have the necessary expertise on board at Fir Park or not. I know the weather was grim and that we were worned that there would be bare patches in the winter. To me it looks like there's been BIG mistakes made in the way that we've attempted to keep the pitch playable and in where we've trained and the stuff about having tractors on the park as the only way to feed it way back in the thread (or elsewhere) is just baffling. (having tractors on the park full stop) I think there are other heavy pitches around that are cutting up badly - however ours appears to be far worse. It looks like our entire pitch is dead. The other parks that are cutting up have far more substance to them than ours. Our looks 'powdery' underfoot - like the 'Horse of the Year Show' that used to be on telly.
  12. That's a very valid point carlukemurray - and probably the point that instigated the man love thread the other day. I'm glad Keef is doing OK and has had some great performances recently. However, Lasley was perhaps our poorest performer yesterday - he was lost in the dustbowl. Jennings was head and shoulders above him performance wise yesterday. The keith manlove must stop now!
  13. They'll be round wi' the flamin torches and the pichforks shortly. You can't say that on here!
  14. Good post Burn Broomfield. Glad to get those 3 poins in the bag - and It'll be great to make it 6 by whipping them next week as well. Not thinking too much about the dark side match on wednesday, que sera sera for that one. I thought Jennings and Reynolds were great but a few of the old guard slipped back a bit today Billy Reid's interview (as always is hilarious). Paw Broon's is disappointing as defending the pitch is a ludicrous standpoint. Andy P mentioned that the pitch needs time to dry out - I think it's dry as a bone myself. i think the new pitch has effectively been murdered and the whole thing is dead as a dodo - I think if 50 of us took an end at the Cooper stand and gave it a sychronised wave - we'd fill the south stand with 100 tonnes of dead roots. i.e. a large percentage of the investment (obviously not the drainage system or the sub structure) but the actual pitch itself has gone and that for me is criminal. We spent a fortune getting rid of all the shit material and planted the best grass on the best soil mix. So what's the composition of the patchwork quilt we've thrown down? The lack of info coming from the club for me speaks volumes. I'm convinced there's been an almighty fuck up.
  15. He's in The Sun today looking for another season at the Well!
  16. C'mon now chaps, can we just settle down and get back to talking about Chris Humphries?
  17. The purchase of (or contribution to, or capture of sponsorship for) horticultural growth lamps for the pitch (I'm sure we could even have a 'Lanarkshire Loft Amnesty' if that would help. Year round growth on the park is something we clearly need.
  18. has that ever happened? I can say without fear of contraception I've never seen anyone showing off intelligence on here
  19. The ammount of different spellings of Lennie Dempster is unbelievable also. Poor guy must be incandessicated wi rage at times.
  20. And Shagger Brown not Shagger Broon!
  21. Wi' Mark McGhee's team too. Well done Craig. It seems like ages since we had a thread like this
