That's a fair point - apperently we went for the quality option!!! all that pish about the percentage sand / soil mix and the special type of grass and the painstaking levelling of the ground. This is the window for Reynolds to move. As he signed his last contract he said that it would probably be his last and if he moved at the right time Motherwell would be compensated. He's gave us some decent service and graft and if he moves he moves with our best wishes. Mark Reynolds That's how more players should approach it.

I think the bottom line is that each club needs to adapt, exploit, prevent exploitation to each of the rules regulations and place in the food chain that exists. I'm only interested in MFC. We need to maximise every situation in our interest. We exploited the cross border non compensation loophole with Porter and I imagine that will be used by us in the Humphrey case as mitigation as it was exactly the same scenario. That's what we need to do. it's our equivalent of the 'reverse trade in value' technique that happens at the OF the pilfer a player for £400K from somewhere and when it doesent work out they look for in excess of a million when they move on - purely because they're an OF player. Completely agree. They need to have a re-think about what games they actually put to air. I can't remember the last time I was a t a well / St Mirren match and thought - "It's a shame this isn't being aired live to the planet" Only saving grace though is there will be less folk tuning in to see it than there will be in the ground. To see a game of football played with less atmospere than there is on the moon.
