  1. Dick Campbell for me. He'll definitely soup the team up wi his sing songs
  2. Fuxache - she joined the club in 2008
  3. Bad result - although it's not a disaster. Craigan coming back isn't the answer. The answer is to go back out with the same bunch of young guys next week and make amends. Saunders and Hutch will be a tremendous central defensive pairing and we'll build things around 'em. A couple of those goals were due to unexpected mistakes by Ruddy and the overall result flattered them a bit. Keep the faith dudes. Jim Gannon's Well Army are on a long march, not a fuckin sprint!
  4. We're gonny have to go some to get back into this game noo!
  5. If you're a regular on here you'll see a lot of folk myself included defending the club. However if your gonna include a broad brush approach. Now I haven't seen a huge debate over this (there has been the odd thread). Good Practice???? Hassle Motherwell Fans to sit down at every single match, Take inflatables off Killie Fans, Banners of Dons Fans, Hassle all non OF fans to sit down. Throw them out regularly!!! Then 7 days ago do what they always do - allow entire stands full of OF fans stand for the entire 90 mins and allow them to fly every banner they like. ??????? C'mon now! Even a Gold Medal Happy Clapper like maself is shaking my head at that pish!
  6. Right back to basics on this. The original post wasn't a go at the girls in the ticket office or their right to have a Christmas night out on the run up to a ticket game - it was a go at the decision to close during regular business hours and fail to advertise that to the Motherwell support - and by the way it MUST have crossed someones mind to do it!!! The guy who posted was angry at having left work early and drive a distance to pass by the office and collect a ticket. Secondly if I recall by and large there is a fair deal of support and appreciation for the job the girls do in the ticket office. All through the Nancy / Inverurie ticketing debacles club policy and infrastructure was lambasted but by and large everyone appreciated the girls were caught in the crossfire doing an admirable job. Yeah there's a lot of moaning on here - but there's a lot of support for the club in every single debate. Leeann should possibly have 'respected' the fact that a Motherwell fan had gone out there way during normal business hours and was angry that they made a fundamental mistake. I'm pretty sure both sides have calmed doon.
  7. I wrote a letter to Santa once and got a bike
  8. I can spot a flaw in that
  9. To be fair the failure to communicate the closure was an absolute howler, however rare or justified, considering the guy had driven a fair distance to get there. You'll see from his post he was equally upset at his wasted journey as Leeann was with her response to his post. (Naw in fact haud that result - Leeann sounds well hacked off) So a bit of understanding and humility on both sides possibly required. Christmas Hugs everybody??
  10. So moving our most consistent performers so far this season, out of the positions they've been effective in, to different positions for the game at Ibrox seems to be what we're thinking here?????
  11. I was "Reading" that managers have moved on so maybe signing targets will change
  12. I'm sure your right Wellfan1984 - and I'd like to think that the Playstation / SkySports / OPTA Stat / Strictly Come dancing brigade will be with us once the penny eventually drops. Thing is there's shit and there's shit. The stuff of the Malpas era was slightly different as we had players (barring only a few) and a management team that didn't quite grasp the enormity of the situation and looked as if they quite simply didn't give a damn whether we were in the SPL or not. That performance up at East End park that threw us back in the mix was probably one of the most enfuriating unmotivated performances I can ever remember. And every time I looked over at the dug-out Malpas and hegarty were sitting on their with their faces tripping them. it wasn't until the St Mirren game that we showed any fight and determination. I was seriously thinking of storming the dugout at Dunfermline that night and shaking the wee prick by the throat. The team that Butcher put out is probably more along the lines of what people are looking for at the moment - a bit of blood and thunder. They had great heart - but were on the end of some dull beatings and were naive beyond belief. Great to watch though and even though we should have gone down I think they still had the broad support of the fan base. What we have now is better than all of that.
  13. Yep, Forfar Away, Brechin at Home would definitely sort the wheat from the chaff! Great days though - as many will testify - and if it happened again I'd still be there. The team we have just now would take 15 off the last Motherwell team to be relegated - although it must be said that wee McLean did a great job in turning that round. The way things went financially in the summer we probably guaranteed safety for a couple of seasons. if we sell Reynolds for a decent fee in the near future that will be another boost - then its back to the conveyer belt.
  14. It's been clearly stated that it's for the long term benefit of the football club - so there will be obvious shortcoming in the short term. We were in the shit as a club in July as basically we didn't have a team. We could quite plainly put have had ten guys who would have turned us into Airdrie by pulling in a bunch of journeymen on the cheap or we could have had one of very few people come in and get an exceptional level of performance out of young inexperienced players. if you don't want to wait or you don't think it's worth full price then you can quite simply vote with your feet. if you want to see this club stick around for the long term - then maybe it's worth thinking about getting behind what's going on now. I for one don't think I'm being short changed. C'mon The Well!
  15. He didn't make himself a one man army tho!
  16. Paul Dickov has been playing nearly every week in Derby's first team
  17. Scottish football is in the state it's in because for decades everybody and their granny has 'let it go'
  18. I know how could all those managers be be right and the East Stand Strictly Come Dancing judges be wrong!
  19. Of course I do. But surely it's better to keep it all together though? It's not as if the main thread was ten pages back or summit. Do you not have the capacity to join in the discussion with everybody else?
  20. Initial Response Gannon's official response on the club website. More to follow I know this has been started as a separate thread - but this is the thread we've been talking about it since the off. I thought it was only over on FPC that they start multiple threads for the same issue!
  21. They're aw pish! - have you no' been listening!
  22. That's bad news for most of the folk on here. They were expecting him to wait until the summer to move on!
