  1. The Hump and ViewToAKill are giving them probs on the right. Hateleys playing well at the back. We're pumpin them 0-0
  2. Clse one there. lost the picture for a minute when it came back on just got that shot that the duke nearly diverted in. Good effort
  3. Knocking the ball about well. Humphrey looking decent going forward on the right
  4. Not looking phased at all - good start
  5. Sounds like it might be worth renewing. Good luck to anyone who wants to take this forward in the right way.
  6. It's only manners no' to jump the gun with the boo-ing (or criticism) tho is it no' Paul Slane may or may no be the person people have described. He may be taking his time ona deal for a number of reasons one of which being he may want to maximise what he gets from us. For those that are desperate to get the tackity boots on - can you no' just wait to see what 'actually' happens and judge the guy on his actions. Right now he's excited me every time I've seen him in C&A, he remains a Motherwell player and he's mulling over his options on a new contract. Things may change and he may disappoint a few, including myself, by moving on. if he does he'll be judged on those 'actions' (that's something that he has actually done, no thought up or pre-empted by any of us) let's give him the chance to make his mind up and if we get an opportunity show him that he's wanted here before the transfer window let's do it. If it doesn't work out at least he'll have a fair idea of how it'll go down
  7. Folk are desparate to booo the now tho! "Please let us booooo". "What are we booooing about today fellow well fan?" "Dunno!" "Booooo anyway!" "Boooooooo Motherwell!" "Shiiiite" etc etc etc!
  8. Interviewed Nick Cusack for GLF when he just moved up from peterborough - he was staying in a flat on Wishaw Main Street. Absolute gent of a guy and into decent music and stuff. Kirkie was sound as a pound too - wanted to say so much more in his interview but was worried about being too controversial. Likewise interviewed wee Tom Tom McLean - absolutely brilliant guy who would have talked all day about the 'well. Was absolutely commited to achieving as much as he possibly could with us. I met Tommy Coyne outside FP the day he signed - he was just standing around outside mulling things over with his big trench coat on. I asked him if he was gonna sign and he just smiled and said - it's looking good. I can only comment briefly on Quinn - didn't meet him - but heard him talking to Flow outside FP a day or two before he left for Cardiff. Sounded like a complete tit to me! However most around the club seemed to say differently.
  9. The hoop is the design we should always go back to. But I think a return to the Pettigrew sash is long overdue. I think we should also bring back the yellow admiral one from the 70's as well as the lemon Adidas one from the very early 80s
  10. You can actually hear yer teeth dissolving as you eat it. It's like a cross between tablet and polo mints.
  11. Did Yass say it? I don't honestly know. I personally think he may have been thrown a curveball at sometime and a very tenuous link has been made to the OF after a couple of decent performances (as it is with every single decent player in the history of creation wrt to the rancid) . I don't think he's been sat down for a bona fide interview like Flow indicated.. My comment stands on players courting the OF - i personally dont think Yass did in this case. i would say i feel that he's been stitched up. So i dont think he should be criticised here. I was trying to claim some middle ground / sit on the fence. All in all it don't think it's a biggie.
  12. No, what I'm suggesting is that a page back Flow posted that since Yass isn't even in the country we can assume the story is pish. yet we're still debating the pros and cons of Yass's 'manufactured' comments. even though he might never have said anything along those lines at all. If the story were true. i'm kinda middle of the road on it. I recognise we're a stepping stone but at the same time I don't like players courting the OF while they're here. However - like Flow said - this is a made up story. So we can't be angry with yass for something he most probably didn't say!
  13. I'd go with Flow, although not everybody reads every post before posting.
  14. Gannon was probably more worried that his young team would spend too much on thon mental 'kendal mint cake'! end up wi half a team out gettin root treatment!
  15. Ambition? Is the SPL a higher level than the SPL these days? Anyways I think the boy has been set up via a curve ball. Methinks it might be a good idea to put together a "things not to say to the press" presentation together for the induction training for new signings.
  16. You're beginning to wander a wee bit off track Frazzle. Folk will 'do' if they have a decent umbrella to 'do' anything under. Folk cant go off fundraising willy nilly for some of the projects we are talking about they would need to be under the MST or whatever body was recognised by the club. If there were splinter groups shooting off all over the place - no local businesses or individuals would contribute to that for justifiable reasons. The Trust have done some great work in the past there's no denying it. However the basics have been lost, even a "we're in crisis, give us time to get it sorted out" email would have at least kept folk in the know. When i see the names of those that have left and the energy and edge that they brought to discussions on here - I'm dismayed. When I see the (a couple of) names of the people that remain - I'm dismayed (probably best left at that). I'll consider getting involved in a new body as a contributor. But it would need to be more edgy and challenging and faster moving. Than what we have left with a couple of wannabe establishment type figures that would be far happier full time on the other side of the fence.
  17. I agree Frazzle. Most people are contributors not leaders though. I don't have the time or the energy anymore to take a large time consuming role. That's a statement of fact and is just where my life is at the moment. However, like we've discussed many times in the past. i got suitably geed up with all the requests for new blood at the MST and got off my arse signed up. And. . . . . . . . well that's been it really.
  18. At some point we'll have to redevelop Fir Park or fund 'Ravenscraig'. Work could already be getting underway in generating funds. Developing ideas on how each of thos could look. Running repairs at the ark. Equipment for the ground staff. Admission Prices. Attendance improvement initiatives (possibly involving the other SPL clubs) A safe standing area. . . . . . . etc
  19. 'Given their all' fuck all kmcalpin. I was with you up to a point on this thread mate - but that's just pish. You dont canvas for new members, get new members then FAIL TO ACKNOWLEDGE their joining, their payment. I'm no having their 'giving their all' pish. Very little effort required in sending out a 'bear with us mail' Maybe in the past they've worked hard. But right now - and for at least 6 months no-one has done diddly squat. Sounds like too much focus on the internal and taking their eye off the external.
  20. No specifics on remaining board members - the AGM invite does ask for volunteers to join the board, hence my suggestion that there's a desire to keep the thing going.
  21. Rab, FYI it would appear from the documentation that's come in today that whoever is left at the Trust intend to keep the thing running. Which is the the last thing that should happen. But they may just pull that off. . . . . . somehow
  22. To be fair - any time for the Phil memorial is good. I'm sure no one minds. These things take time to fund, commisssion and create. It will be well recieved whenever it appears
  23. If we replaced the East Stand and POD seating with steep sloped stands and transparent playing surface friendly rooves on the existing footprints, what would it look like?
  24. Fair Point. and I agree that a vibrant trust can be a great thing. But oors is deid! One last thing though. I just hope they don't have the audacity to try a relaunch with any of the old faces. Let's hope the AGM is just the delivery of the death certificate.
