  1. Gutted not to be voting for Giles Coke as I thought he was immense today - we finally 'may', based on what he's shown so far, have someone to fill the role vacated by Phil. But Jim O'Brien was massive today! Well done JoB
  2. Aye we should take him to the 'Recall' labs and got his memory erased and a new claret and amber tinged set of memories implanted.
  3. he's the same weight as Sutton, McGarry, Craigan and me put together - and as you know them three are no Michael Jacksons in the weight stakes.
  4. Reply states that we done well on the card count (Fair play league) it was 'referrals' that we fell down on. Whatever 'referrals' are.
  5. That's it in a nutshell Rammer. we shouldn't expect any different.
  6. Further reply . . . if ever there was anything that was symptomatic of what's wrong in at the SFA - you only have to look at this exchange to see why it's going wrong all over the place. 3 governing bodies - multiple fair play league tables. . . . . . They only needed to say "further to Motherwell getting a Europa League slot following their fair play standing . . . . . " I'm not entering into a slanging match with the guy.
  7. Reply from my email to the SFA - I've emailed back to say his email clarifies fuck all - and makes things worse.
  8. I'd go for Noel - Liam's a bit temperamental. C'mon Jimbo - A gemme of hangman would be better than you slingin us a deeffie
  9. Yep - the old 'economical with the truth' addage is springing to mind. I don't doubt for a second that during any discussions the players would have expressed an interest in staying. I just wonder what the opening comment of that conversation was from "the club's" perspective. I know diddly squat btw - only what the bible of truth and accuracy that is "steelmenonline" has indicated.
  10. I thought Dee-Lite was a defender? Where are our training spies when we need them?
  11. True Seagull, True. However he was leaving to 'split the old firm' and 'win scotland caps' as far as I recalled. I remember you saying about Kuipers early doors and had misread the situation that he was maybe stepping back from 1st team football and Brighton were looking to get a new #1 in. I didn't realise Kuipers was still the man in posession of the jersey. Looks like a tough job for Buzz.
  12. Aaaah! Might be a simple mix up then - does it say that Sutton's a 5' 2" midfielder?
  13. Some interesting info there Modfather. Hope it's right re. the striker. Interesting re Dazzer / Fitzy contrary to what others have heard.
  14. And in a funny way your post kinda backs up his point 'Some', 'a few' did really really well - no mistake. The rest? well fuck 'em basically
  15. Every now and again you get one of them posts. Brilliant Auldyin.
  16. Good start for Buzz at Brighton - he must have been keen to impress after getting the call to arms after Kuipers got sent off just prior to HT when it was 2-1 to 'udders feeled. He managed to keep it down to 7-1. Blinder! I can't confirm whether Burley was in the crowd or not. Go Buzz!
  17. I've got tickets kicking about somewhere from 1985, 1986 and the face value's about £3.50 £4.00 for an OF game at Fir Park and if I mind right there was a 50p hike on the regular charge. Robbin bar stewards even then I remember no long after that a great fanzine called The Absolute Game did a study on the rate of increase and it was alarming then. I suppose some things have increased at the same rate - gig tickets n that while other things haven't CDs for instance have been a tenner or thereaboots for centuries. Laughing at a few of Thatchers disciples on here. "If I've paid full price the poor can fuck off" The comparisons with Springsteen etc are off the mark too as I don't see The Boss struggling to fill more than 50% of the seats at each show, yer guaranteed a performance everytime ye turn up, it's once every 5 years, and yer guaranteed that everyone in the first team breaks sweat. Next ye'll be wantin to take the free school milk off the weans FFS!!
  18. Can one of youz take a tape measure and fing out how tall Ross Forbes is?
  19. Easy tigers! - Who's gonna be first to mention that some folk on the bru drink and smoke and all those usual points. There are good points being made on both sides surely
  20. Sharp again finzster. I was tongue-in-cheekedly referring to the St Mirren game that we lost (I think) - when we had a centre back at right back, two centre backs in central defence and two centre backs in midfield. But you knew that right
  21. Thing is their were occasions when we looked relegation fodder and were struggling with injuries etc. McGhee put out a team with 9 centre halfs at Fir park one day remember.
  22. Nah that's just no' right. In every situation you've got to live. It's unlikely if your on the bru whether you'd have any spare dosh to go on a regliar basis granted. But it would be good if there was something in place to get everybody in to the ground that fancied being there on any given week.
  23. Anybody in his general area wi' a tape measure. This needs sorted out quick!
  24. Sounds like they measure the players pished wi an elastic ruler No way is Forbes six foot - mibbez when his hair is spiked - either that or he's got telescopic legs.
