Something I haven't seen mentioned so far - Bristol City??????? Him or his agent should be holding out for better, no? Evening Times reporting that Bristol have contacted well and have been given a price and are away to think it over.
-
Aye, I know that WUFI - try not to get anybody in bother mate. Folk either believe you have a good source or they don't that's the way it is. Don't put your source at risk mate - as leaking of info isny that clever - happens all the time I know - but its a bit risky

That's like saying someone within the chip department at a chip shop

Sair wan if true! For many reasons. Best of luck to the lad. If true. i'd sincerely hope we'd failed in an dogged attempt to put a 3yr contract with Hughes / Klimpl style wages and a favourable escape clause in front of the lad to keep him. If that has failed then that's fair enough If not we're asleep behind the wheel. All that being said - I'd never stand in that boy's way if that's what he wants - he's run himself into the ground for us.

You've no idea the pish I've been reading mate. I posted that one as it looked a bit better put together than the bulk of the one line articles filling the bottom corners of the scottish rags. Glad to have been of service Oh and btw - I think you said it 347 pages back - Gannon may be the leftfield option.

Interesting Article in the Stockport Express of all places

Yooz are cruel. I think it said on the other thread that the top notchers would be. Think going by the postsmouth effort last year they're around 90 squid.
-
As you can see mate - the risk is that by jumping the gun - they've switched a few off. Hopefully something enjoyable and worthwhile can be salvaged particularly for those that have planned ahead.

It's no that much of a hassle really. I think we're all a bit Nancy and Iverurie'd oot to be honest. Basically right now I think most of us feel they can ram their tickets. So if its a couple of hundred tickets - it'll end up being a ballot - I imagine most won't be arsed with that either. Time off work, followed by time off work followed by. . . time off work Our own plans were to head down regardless of tickets. Right now it looks like we'll just forget it. Sad really that in this day and age a maximum of 3000 football fans can't be accomodated at a European tie. For me it's just nuts. I agree with the points made earlier by fatcalf and the like too. If they opened up the terracing there would be close to 3000 there. Willing to stand but not being allowed to. The game's gone nuts. The other argument re an EPL team is just pish. Playing anybody at fir park they'd get Corporate in the POD plus the whole South Stand (more than 3500 seats if I mind right) - that's acceptable in any round of a UEFA tournament.
-
I'm wondering if it's maybe a 'provisional' booking to be confirmed once we're sure the pitch is tip top.
-
OK - I still don't think you're getting it exactly. However it doesn't matter, they've confirmed on their website that its at their own park anyway before the agreed Thursday meeting - so it's all irrellevant. That's bad show for a kick off - and I think anyone looking at Flows diplomatic posts yesterday could imagine him shaking his head in disbelief at the same time behind the scenes. For every event there comes a time where you chose a venue based on the intelligence you have and release tickets. No other concert, football match works on a guarantee basis - so they'll have to at some point either grow a set or play safe. No worries mate
-
I think you might be right mate. based on all the snippets that have emerged.

Welsh press reporting a potential Cardiff bid for Quinn. Klimpl speaking to sheep press about how a move to Aberdeen would appeal to him.
-
You misunderstood my point On their forum some of their guys were a bit sceptical that we would bring 2000 even if they did change to the bigger venue - particularly if Motherwell win the first leg they were asking if John Boyle would guarantee the cash up front. My answer to that particular point would be - confirm the change of venue and send the tickets up today and sell them befor a ball is kicked. Right now we're all fired up to go down. As I said in the post though, whether they switch or not is up to them. I think that they don't believe the numbers will travel and they're wavering
-
I read their forum last night and there's lots of talk about - yeah but would MFC guarantee 1500 or 2000 tickets if we switched. A lot of really decent guys on there to be fair. Simple answer to that particular point is - stop fucking about and get the tickets up here and we'll sell the tickets on Manday and Tuesday before a ball's kicked in the first leg never mind the second. I'm saying that based on a presumption on my part that I think they're a bit sceptical about our numbers and are a bit caught in two minds on whether they want to make money from a game they are expected to lose or whether they actually think have a chance of an upset. If it's the latter fair play to them - they must stick by the decision they have made, regardless of how it goes at Airdrie and I wish them all the best. Don't change your mind if it goes Pete Tong. I think personally it will be closer than folk think - but that's a gamble that Llanelli AFC need to weigh up. They also need to deal with a good few hundred well fans who will travel regardless - that's not always a good situation. Bottom line here is following Nancy and Inverurie a fair number of Well fans will be on the verge of telling them to shove it anyway as to be honest - through no fault of MFC's these ticketing scrambles are becoming a bit tedious. Llanelli of course are unaware of this (and it's not their fault either) - however iI think it's something the might like to become aware of - because i think for a lot of well fans our patience is being stretched. So with yesterday evening - all of today and most of tomorrow (until the clubs meet) for the relationship between us and the fans and officials of Llanelli AFC will sour a bit and yet again the enjoyment will be taken off a football spectacle that should have been a brilliant coming together of two wee british clubs. All because fuds running football clubs stinking of self preservation - dont have the balls to try and win a football game in front of all the supporters that want to go when they have the means at their disposal. I'm hoping that something sensible gets sorted out today. Although it appears like the officials of Llanelli have fired one across our bows outwith the agreed timescales as they want to show their displeasure at us not switching legs. It's their shout.
-
No worries mate. I'm sure there's plenty of time to turn this round. If not what can the average football fan do? There's probably well over 200 booked on travel and accomodation already.
-
Magic post - informative succinct and to the point. Spelling top drawer as well (although a wee mic-capitalisation incident). Excellent use of internet forum ettiquette into the bargain. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say - we're truly blessed to have you around
-
That's a fair point matt - moving from another SPL club to one of the OF is the equivalent of going fishing at a trout farm - i.e. you canny miss. McDonald was great for us - I'll give him that. However McFadden is one of the best players ever to grace the FP turf. There's no comparison in ability.

Really good post there mate
-
Hope I added something to the discussion there mate, not trying to be funny or trolling - just adding to the discussion and keeping ma nose clean - in case the Livi Gestapo are on the march
-
'Trolling' through a cuppla articles in today's Evening Times today Quinn talking about being here a wee bit longer than 1st July O'Brien talking about getting a contract extension sorted.
-
The driving isn't too bad to be fair Matt. It slows up a wee bit once you leave the M6 as there are a lot of biggish junctions / roundabouts breaking it up from then on in - but it's do-able.
-
I'm not sure where this is coming from DC'd - theres been nothing announced officially as far as I can see for the away leg - thought it was gonna be sorted out this Thursday. Most folk had expected it to be switched so there would be plenty tickets. Like I say might have missed something
