I'm gonna drive up . . . . .
-
Thing is - folk will need them shortly - if they're buying tickets for the euro games. Although I'm sure they'll all be out and about by then.
-
Waits for the first post of - "what queue do I go in if I've pre-ordered two home tops but would like to buy one for my mums birthday" type question
-
Both Macca and Nijholt have been covered in articles over the weekend whereby the heading suggests they'd move on condition of funds. If you look at the two articles though - Nijholt apparently refers to commitment to a youth policy where Macca apparently refers to needing setanta money
-
I collected mine on Friday when I was up at the ground anyway. I think the girls are working through them - mines was just about to be posted. So imagine that more will be trickling out this week
-
Hell mend the SPL / setanta though. poor spectacle / high admission prices / low attendances / old firm away games / playing each other 4 times a season / negative media & pundits we watch our team because we always will. but in general the products crap. If ICT was playing Killie in my back garden I'd draw the curtains
-
I'm fully aware that they're free agents and know exactly what that entails for the players. However Klimpl's gone from publicly saying he wanted to stay. To basically. . . .well basically nothing. I'm only saying that if they end up there the accusations will follow that theres been a cosy wee arrangement sorted out. Not by me though - I'd never dream of that.

TV money for a particular league should be split evenly between the clubs in the league at that time. league prize money for positions should be separate. We aint gonna improve the product in the park unless we evenly distribute more of the wealth. the sooner we put the brakes on the OF taking a larger slice of every pie the better. As many have said - they've got to play somebody! An in the interests of making the league a competition in the dim and distant future insted of the mind numbingly repetitive two horse race. it's in everyones interest that money is divvied up a bit better.

I was always fairly positive on McGhee - however the way he has handled himself over the past couple of weeks has fair cheesed me off. If I see another picture of his shammy gabbit mush anywhere else over the next month. . . . . . Anyway it's good to see that he's learning new skills - that he didnt have at Fir Park- in his new job already. namely:- Signing up the clubs top players on long term deals. . . . Signing players . . . . . . If this comes off, the signing of these players will be seen by many as really underhand.

Can we run training courses on the purpose of topics and threads?

I've giot the same problem wi ma manboobs. . . eh shooders

When I was on Friday - the guy said it was (I think) 8.30am on Saturday 20th I thought this whole 'Countdown' thing was leading up to 20th June?
-
I think McGhee leaving is a shot in the arm to our bank balance. I think Aberdeen shit themselves when they seen his wages and it speaks volumes that he's accepted (as reported) a reduced salary to allow himself to get the job up there. They're paying him and SL's wage plus compen to us and Caldo. His leaving has at least turned the pich expendeture into a break even. he's left very little (I didnt sy none) dead wood and a prudent new guy can build a squad round what we have. It's all good

You could always get Luc in with an Alex Smith / Tommy McLean type figure while developing Craigan in the wings. The Calderwood, Jeffries, Williamson scenario just isn't cutting it for me. Although they've achieved moderate 'success' it's at a cost - to the detrement of the football on show. I'd like us to at least make an attempt to play football / develop youth otherwise we might as well shut up shop and go play junior football (like Killie (the poor mans Auchinleck Talbot try to do). I'd much rather we had a fucking go at it than sit back and attemp to grind out draws to survive. Cmon the Well
-
Aye but Austrian Footie (where Luc won the title as assistant coach) is almost identical to Scottish Footie. I must admit theres not another coach in Scotland right now that I'd take ahead of Nijholt. Or for that matter one below the championship in England either. The Dillon bloke apparently mooted by Muttley the Hooor was an assistant in his last job was he no'. Robbo at Fir Park - there'd be riots if that cheating wee FHW came anywhere near the place. Are you really a well fan wee Tommy - or are you just blissfully unaware of his history
-
On making yer way through the thread you missed the best bits ya mentalist Co Adrianse with Luc as assistant won the league with Red Bull in Austria last year and both are free agents. Adrianse, I imagine, will be out of our league.

Hughes and Klimpl He can ckoff if he asks about anyone else.

Lets start a new thread on it!

I don't know if that's how I read it. But Europe takes second place to getting the right guy in place, strengthening the squad and surviving for another year in the SPL in the current environment. Europe was a nice wee bonus, and may well end up being a great wee adventure, however as of 20 mins ago our priorities officially changed.

I don't think we'll have much money to 'buy' players but I'm hopeful that we'll be at least able bring two or three 'out of contracts' in at least. Worries The Setanta shortfall Cost of pitch repairs / upkeep of FP* Cost of new management team. (with McGhees wages plastered all over the media - it gives the new guy a step for a hint where to start in negotiations) Plusses No wage for Klimpl No wage for G. Smith No wage for Bob Malcolm (FTP) No wage for S. Hughes No wage foe M. McGhee No wage for S. Leitch c. 200k Compen for McGhee and Leitch* *These two will hopefully 'almost' cancel each other out.

We've got a European tie in 3 weeks and he's up hawkin his mutton to Stewart Milne and Willie Miller in the Ardoe House Hotel. As Roy Orbison said - "It's Over"

I'm reading a few articles about Sultana the noo. BBC sayin that the Scottish Govt are prepared to assist (dunno if that means financially) and that there are new investors that have come forward. Thats all well and good - and I was one of the mugs that was payin £11 a month or whatever for their 'one channel' freeview package. Which I cancelled the other day. Problem is they were set up to cater for the OF by covering their away games and the clashes between the two of them by and large. With the exception of Hartson (IMHO) all of their presenters and pundits were pish - Scott Booth, Burley, Thon Aussie Fud, McNee the lot. If they do survive they need to work harder to make themselves the automatic chice for all the football fans in Scotland - to the extent that we all feel that we're missing out if we're not subscribed. They had enough free time on their channel to give each af the SPL clubs an hour 'Motherwell TV' of 'Killie TV' slot but they didn't (whether thats on setanta 1, 2, or 3,). In truth in it's current form there's next to hee haw in it for fans outwith the OF - so until they get their package right. I'm out.

Nah, I think that's out of the way now Ernie. McGhee has put himself forward for the job at Aberdeen and travelled up there yesterday. The delay is just down to com-pen between us and the sheep noo I think
