I take it the cut sections of the old USH pipes will just lie dormant under the park then Flow? Also I take it there needs to be a quick re-levelling exercise whent the drains are covered?

It's times like these that we realise why we all love Celtic, their 'hangers-on, and the best fans in the world Truth is like their blue pals (and lets not forget they are pals) they're a big club because of their ,handed down through generations, sectarian slice of the pie. The best fans in the world expect their board to deliver one of the top coaches in the world - someone Barca or Chelsea would be looking to recruit. None of them would even look at it. The big names in the UK will all think twice about the manager's job their due to the pressure the infantile scurrilous scottish media and the mental expectations of the best fans in the world who only really live for the 4 OF games, any time they meet their pals in the cup and the couple of games they manage to get in Europe. Their best hope unfortunately is for someone who is mental eough to count themselves as a fan, some 'ex' top coach who is on the rebound from the sack (or a few years in the wilderness) or someone who doesn't fully understand what he's getting himself into. Any coach worth their salt wouldn't touch that pile of turgid shit with an asbestos bage-pole!

I think you should add 'petted' to the middle of your name mate (between 'The' and 'Lip')! I can't see any justification for you having the dummy flying around on this topic. For someone who claims not to be bothered - you're sure behaving like someone who is. My thoughts are that the club are over the moon to be delivering a traditional kit that a lot of fans have been asking for for a while and they're trying to do something a bit different in the build up. You either get wi' the programme or you don't - It really is that simple.

Reported elsewhere with the same Rossco quotations - that he thought Mcghee wouldn't go. it's amazing the way these guys are reporting this whole circus.

Big Boab : - Obviously breaking the Guiness "Number of Skelfs in yer Buttocks" World Record was the last 'thing' he had to do.

Aberdeen Say Managers Job Is Mark Mcghee's If He Wants It

Melvin - all we can see from that is that it looks as if there's something 'set' - nothing indicates whether its enhanced or reduced levels. When I signed for man Utd - I had a get out clase that said I could leave for Motherwell if they offered £25k Unfortunately the offer never came. (before I woke up for work) -

We're all desparate for information and each new rumour or press report is discussed here as 'the new truth' The vast majority of it is bullshit. In all of the various manager speculation (Celtic, Aberdeen, Sunderland, Motherwell, Falkirk, Burnley, Wigan etc etc.) I've yet to read that any club has been officially approached for any manager (apart from Bruce who has been given permission to speak to Sunderland as compensation has been sorted). Another report last week stated that McGhees compensation is fixed at £200K for certain named clubs. I took that with a pinch of salt - and am treating what the P&J have reported with regard to compensation as complete pish. My own gut feel is that John Boyle would never have enhanced McGhee and Leech's T&Cs without having some sort of safeguard in place. C'mon guys that's just never gonna happen. The first point that we need to start untwisting our knickers is when our own club report that they've been approached by a club for permission to speak to McGhee or have either accepted or declined a resignation - outwith that, even though I get caught up in it maself, its all bollocks. -
For me McFadden was up there with Cooper as the best to watch in a Well shirt (in my time supporting the Well). I rated McCormack - but not as much as the other two. McFadden in McGhee's first season squad would have been sensational. Watched him in a few of Birmingham's end of season matches and although he looked dangerous on the ball - he looked absolutely knackered - obviously the bad knee injury taking it's toll on his fitness.

best advice I can give is to open your eyes - best advice about not starting a debate is not to start a debate. C'mon the Fitzy! Plays better away from home these days - finds it easier when he doesn't have 500 well fans on his back for a humph! Brilliant engine and will run any sub standard midfield into the ground.

I'm going to hedge my bets - Brechin?

I think most clubs will be doing some work on their playing surfaces / stadiums over the summer - I guess it all depends on which ground won't have work going on around the required date. I'm no that fussed where it is really - although I've been in Almondvale a good few times where we've taken a great support and created a bit of an atmosphere.

Much as I like Derek Adams. I think he's miles below what we need in terms of a manager. I think maybe in the future it's a possibility - but in terms of his managerial career so far he's achieved diddly squat. -
I wonder what's needed to fix it - is it the speakers?, is it the amp? Like a lot of the stuff that needs done in the stadium there's probably folk on here capable of helping out (or know someone who could help out) if we knew exactly what was needed.

As for the question earlier - I disagreed with a few of your points. And the Madeline McCann stuff is for the weans playpen in Compost Corner - not the football forum. A couple of us have posted the same response to your definition of ambition. The point being made is that it's easier to win things when you have all the resourses in the world handed to you on a plate. Who was more ambitious David or Goliath?????? -

I think that's a poor post in a number of ways, however it's just given me the chance to counter one of the biggest bug bears I have about the common comments about anybody who moves to a bigger club because of 'ambition' Wanting to stay and win things with Motherwell is far more ambitious than going to Aberdeen or Celtic to win things. It's blatantly obvious that its harder to win things on a limited budget than it is with the sectarian dollar rammed into yer hip pocket. Saying that you're a glory hunter and want to move somewhere where you're more likely to win things is good fortune - not ambition. -
SC Dave will be perplexed. i'm waiting on the "can I pre-order 2 new home ones wan wi SPL letterring and wan wi UEFA lettering and an away wan whenever that comes oot wi hawf UEFA and hawf SPL?" type questions.

We're In Line For A Uefa Place Just Now........
Steve Diggle replied to mfcsuperwell's topic in Club Chat
Pre-season friendlies have been part of football for donkeys. They're seen by all the clubs as a way of sharpening up the players ahead of the competitive games. (I'm not thinking for a minute that everyone on here doesn't understand that) So here's the conundrum - Go to them / don't go to them Weigh up the cost / opportunity for a drink with friends / whether they're on yer season ticket or not etc etc. Then decide. With the potential euro games, likewise - weigh up travel costs / importance to you / ticket price to get in - then go or don't go - It really is that simple. I can't believe the moaning and groaning going on about the pre season / potential euro games. If domestic competitive games are more your bag - then hang off until the big league kick off - Dawdle. -
I think it will be either Steve Coppell, Chris McCart, Luc Nijholt. Paul Lambert, Craig Brewster, Jimmy Calderwood, Derek Adams, Scott Leitch, Gary McAllistair, Bobby Williamson, George Burley, Tom Boyd, Tommy Coyn, Hugh Keevins, Jim Duffy, Ally McCoist, Tommy Sheridan, Eric Black, Tony Adams, Gareth Southgate or Susan Boyle. Mind you it could still be Mark McGhee. Who Knows! C'mon the Well It could be a Kampmann and IceRink dream team!

When you think about it the Klimpl situation was always a possibility. You'd like to think that he would prefer to stay where he's been made really welcome and been given a new role that he's done well in. However in football we all know money talks. I'm not daft and know that players hang out to see whats available. But perhaps we should have been in there getting some sort of gentlemans' agreement sorted out. You never know he might stay. If he doesn't then we just get on with it dont we? That's what we always do! C'mon The Well!
