  1. This thread is a participation sport, no' a spectator event so batter in Alex me old son You've one less paragraph to fill in than everybody else noo that you've given us your game of the season.
  2. That was a brutal time and brutal decisions were (and had to be) taken. Mark was one that I really felt for at the time. I hope if it is a possibility that it all could be sorted out. it would be a great gesture on both sides if it came to be. Probably one of the most one sided 'possible signing' threads I've read on here too which unusual.
  3. Apologies for this - I was just thinking how great it would be if we we're getting all these 'work on the pitch' updates from Leeanne Dumpster. Class I'll get me coat!
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing Mark back - hopefully build some bridges with the guy after what happened. If I mind right he was always a well fan - that right? Yep - good shout
  5. Game of the season: ICT 2 v 3 Motherwell - the turning point. The beginning of players coming back, realisation that certain players could do a job and the recognition that we could turn the corner in terms of performances / results Goal of the season: Has to be Sutton's at greyskull . Player of the season: Paul Quinn - captain material again - hats of coach. Best moment: Nancy from start to finish - I know that's more than a moment - but it was all great. Worst Moment: The 2nd leg vs Nancy. Suprise of the year: The away performance vs Killie a few weeks ago Worst player of the year: I'm not counting big Bob as I've never really counted him as a 'well player really. I'll pass on worst player and say that I was gutted for Mark Reynolds that he didn't show the same form as the year before. Here's hoping he just had a 'Clarkson' and gets back in gear next season. Young player of the year: Jim O'Brien - I knew he'd come good for us - always stuck up for him when you lot were having a canary Overall: Disappointing 6/10 - because with the manager we have and the players if all available we're capable of much more. However needs to be balance by the realisation that it's Motherwell and it's always precarious - we could get malpas II in next week and it'll all turn to crap again - so not a disaster by any means. Lets hang on to what we have and build on it next year. Cmon The Well!
  6. Brilliant, pity you weren't here this time last year leeann!
  7. That doesn't really stack up. he's been more or less in the team since he came back from injury. McGhee could have used Klimpl in defence or one of the youngsters if we were short - but he's more or less used the big man since he was 'almost' ready to play.
  8. Talks pending johnstone. Cluck
  9. I'm struggling to remember myself - think you might be right with Everton. Good to see a premiership team coming. First time I seen Faddy was in a friendly vs Aston Vanilla in 2000?
  10. Have you watched the guy wellimp? Just wondering whether our guys think there's potential to develop there.
  11. He may just be the guy to build a dam across our defence. I expext 'log' in to learn will sponsor his kit. If we dont singn Beevers it'll be an otter disgrace.
  12. Hope it's all had a good dousing wi' Fabreeze
  13. Picture on the feeshal shows Hughes (is he for sale too) standing next to pendants, training gear, lasleys old number 6 Xara away 6 etc.
  14. See that jist disny make sense to me. If it's the best value for money from our player budget then I don't really care where he's from.
  15. Bob Malcolm's Range Rover needs a service
  16. By and large - I think the newsletter is good Flow as is the programme - which, when you compare it to what you used to get for your dosh. . . . My rant was purely about the lead article twice being players opening their mooth and letting their belly's rumble about whether they'll be here or not. we all know they won't be (well unless they get a severe dissy and no one comes to liberate them) let them do their soul seaching / humming and hawing / casting their hook in the press.
  17. I'd like to keep Sheridan as well - think he offers a lot. There's a couple of things though - as a support I think we need to be more open to the loan idea, i think it's gonna be part and parcel of the games for clubs like ourselves - getting players in without the obvious longer term financial commitment. secondly - he seems to be playing far better away from home - like sveral of the east stand darlings recently. think we need to get off his back. He's putting in the shifts and is coming on as a player - if we benefit in the process well and good. thought he took 5 times the pelters vs ICT that other playes playing similarly badly took. From what I've heard and watching the highlights his contribution on Saturday was excellent.
  18. I never slept a wink the night before and I was sick with nerves on the day. Waited so long for that day and never though I would see it coming true (dreampt about it many's a time tho') - was there with my whole family - including three of the greatest well fans I've ever met amongst them - my old man (who was at the '52 win) and my brother-in-law. Both of them sadly no longer around. Plus (if I mind right) my nephew who must have been about 4 - who has been clad in claret and amber since the day he was born. I get really emotional when I think back to that time. When you see the grusome twosome slug it out every year with their divine right to win - it puts that achievement into perspective. They win the cup and the league all the time and it means sod all - They'll never have the privelege of knowing what it felt like that day. That's achievement son, achievement!
  19. What an amazing achievement by the club. Wee Tommy got the most out of his collected bunch of 'journeymen' and FP youth. A team that ran themselves into the ground and worked like trojans for one another to achieve what they did. Hats off to every single one of them and cheers Tommy!
  20. Fair point too Sarah. One of the problems I suppose is that Flow and Co have some serious column inches to fill when you think about it and they can't replicate the programme content as that would detract from sales (why buy it on matchdays for £2.50 when you can get it on-line for free) Like all of kmcalpins ideas too - spot on. I started the thread when I had read the same Buzz story for the umpteenth time. I really don't think the club once they've communicated that situation should be allowing the player a couple of articles to ramble ramble ramble and say nothing other than "i dont have the baws to come out and say cheerio to yooz just yet"
  21. I don't think you try to sound really patronising at times Frazzle - but it's an uncanny knack me old son. I'm pointing out that I'm not interested in reading yet another feature on Buzz saying how he's undecided about staying - he's had that column space before. So has Hughes. I'm saying dont give them the lead column inches. I'm long enough in the tooth to know exactly what to expect in a newsletter.
  22. As it stands Accies safe Down to ICT vs Fatkirk next week
  23. The lack of working technology over the last couple of years has been a pain for everybody - however the folk in the office should get an MBE or the Victoria Cross or something like that. They must be absolutely perplexed every time a cup game or season ticket time comes round. In fact it wouldny surprise me if it was one of them that put holes in the USH and put mogadon in the players pre match snack prior to the split - to scupper our push for europe. Big Up (or whatever young people say nowadays)
