It's counting down to June the 20th ya fud. Are your eyes painted on? So what we all want to know is . . . . . . will the strip be available after the Killie game which is on 23rd May What's the countdown clock for again?
  2. Anyone else fed up reading about Stephen Hughes and Buzz being 'undecided' on whether they'll stay or not being the lead story in this newsletter. Ram it! I'm only interested in news about folk that want to be here - both players I think have had ample web space about there apparent indecision. Stay or Go - You Decide (but do it in private if you don't mind) C'mon the well - particularly the guys that wanna stay and give it their all!
  3. Nothing from Postman Pat yet? Will check with my buds to see if they've had any joy.
  4. 2K? What a huge pile of shite! 2K a month mibbez! If were paying him 2K a week - I'll go phone the administrators maself.

Fuckin' 'ell. I don't think any one is taking it THAT seriously, or wetting themselves in excitement. It's a harmless way of generating what is one of the few items the club put on the market Away and get a fuckin panel beater to knock yersel back into shape and get a fuckin grip. Follow it if it interests or ignore it if it doesn't. For Fuck Sake! Seriously
  6. If McGhee doesn't bring in Patrice Evra to replace Hammell in the close season - I'm gonna petition the European Parliament for his deliberate mental torture of all us poor sods. either that or we realise that we're Motherwell FC and we support a bunch of players that buy and large give us everything they've got. Like it or . . . . . go back to supporting the Old Firm or whatever the problem is that we all have with not having a team of Champions Leage stars (if that equates to lumping it)

I wish to fuck moaning was an Olympic sport merchandise I'd imagine is one of the top income streams for the club - so I'm all for them doing what it takes to maximise that income when they can. I don't particularly feel that there's a gun to my head to buy this - so if I like it I'll buy it if I don't I won't. if you feel that the club are ripping you off - then again, don't buy it. Klimpls
  8. Right now I'm thinking 'no thanks' I'd rather have a proper pre-season to get the pitch and the squad sorted out.
  9. A real Motherwell supporter wouldn't give a flying f**k what they thought.
  10. Don't need to ask him. I read his brilliant interview in our 91 magazine while he was still at Wigan then his contrasting press and TV interviews on joining Gers. Would it have been a sacking offence for him NOT to say he was a Rangers supporter? he could have said "I'm pleased to come back to the biggest club in Scotland" or some other shite - but if what your saying is correct he actually agreed to lie. He had a choice be true to himself or play the game and he played the game. fair doos - but don't expect understanding from the East Stand (well not until he comes back as a player when we'll maybe think about forgiving him)
  11. Folk that leave for the old firm tend to get it tight - always have. (walker, mcdonald etc) Folk that leave because they think they should be playing at a higher level and publicly go on about it tend to get it tight - always have. (wishart, kerr, pearson, mccormack) Some (usually journeymen types) leave without much to say and dont get much in the way of focused abuse when they return. (mcbride, hamilton etc) others conduct themselves in a decent manner and are held in decent esteem (mcfadden, porter) some leave in decent terms then walk back into it (Lee (I used to pretend to be Dougie Arnott / no in fact I've always supported rangers) McCulloch, Tommy (30 mins at Chelsea) Boyd etc) We tend to really rise to the occasion when one of ours goes direct to the OF though.
  12. That team and the manner they played got me back into supporting the team on a regular basis after a few seasons of real indifference. They had some stinkers yes. But they also had many games where they should have taken at least a point for their efforts and were really unfortunate. If we could marry some of that determination and bottle with the ability we have now - we'd easily have been Top 6 this season. That's not an expectaion on my part - i'm happy that we're safe - but its a simple fact. We have the ability in spades and went on a good run yet on many occasions we've been unable to develop the mean streak / killer instinct required. Like I said before we went out in a few games most notably Killie away, Abredeen and St. Mirren at home and surrendered the points too easily - The Setanta Killie game probably being the most 'unspirited' display of the McGhee reign (well mibbez a couple of cup exits were worse). Even at Ibrox recently we had the ability to get back into the game and do something - but at the end of the day we made them look good by giving them absolute acres to play in. That young post administration side might have eventually succumbed but Rangers would have known they were in a game. They were a great side that gave me back 'the bug' every single one of those lads deserve the utmost credit.
  13. She's an Accies fan from a day care centre that gets an hour on a computer to fish on here around 1.30 in the afternoon every now and again.

  16. That post has given me the complete fear. I've been 'assuming' that Boab would be on his merry way this summer. I never for a moment thought about the possibility of him staying. And lets face it - it is a possibility isn't it? I had planned on renewing my season ticket without any conditions attached. However if we plan to blow a chunk of the budget on BBB again them I'm afraid. . . . Surely not! Boab Malcolm FTP (Funds for Twelve PLayers)
  17. That's a really good post Melvin - and although I don't always agree with you 100% - I think your posts are always worth reading and well put. I think McGhee is the man for the job here - no doubt and think that he's the best manager we've had since wee Tommy. Although I think your criticisms of him are fair. Team selections this year in big games plus his failure to plan properly ahead of the close season cost us dearly this year. Fair play on the players you've used to illustrate empty jerseys, those guys were nightmares - and that is another conundrum. We've suffered a fair bit from that over the years - we've had players that for whatever reason just couldn't be arsed - and they deserved every bit of criticism that came their way. (unlike some of the criticism that has been levelled at certain parties this year). I think Butcher was the man for motivation - he got more effort out of his guys than anyone I can remember. Even though wee Tommy was good he still had his passengers every now and again. I think that't the best part of your post about this year. Without doubt there have been certain occasions that guys have gone out and haven't been 'up for it'. I liken it to the game v Dunfermline away at the tail end of the Malpas era. For us on the terracing that's the worst crime for one of our guys in Claret and Amber to commit and I think it happened a few times on key occasions this year. I can handle 7th (or wherever we end up) - what disappoints most with that is when you look at the performances in recent weeks vs Killie away, Aberdeen and St Mirren at home. I'm not saying we have a divine right to win and that we should be Top 6 or anything like that. But no-one will ever be able to convince me that something is not amiss in the camp at present when you look at the manner in which we lost those points and played in those games. If I had to take a guess - i'd say a few of the guys were thinking about moves. A few were disheartened at being out of position, a few on the bench were down in the dumps at being dropped (when they shouldn't have been). While we can have a certain amount of sympathy for any of that. It's the managers job to motivate the team and if you're a player and getting the chance to pull on the Claret and Amber shirt isn't good enough for you - then I'm afraid you need to get yourself sorted out.
  18. THats it on the head Haggis. I'd really like to know what the folks that are moaning would do with the budget that's available. I find it also amazing that people continue to talk about who we should punt before the end of a contract. The good players will get picked up by bigger clubs for a fee. The average players will see out their contract and renew or move on its that simple. In the current climate - no one mid contract will be leaving FP unless an offer comes in.

What a thread! Thom Yorke fae yon Radioheid must be shittin himself.
  20. Aye, I think that's wrong. The whole thing is a personal choice situation. Sounds like the club were well represented. We've no right to questions someones personal reasons for not being there. let the night stand as a classic night - made by those that could attend. Don't sully a great night and a great result for a great cause by digging around for the reasons for anyone being unable to attend. i think that's grossly unfair.
