  1. What's the regulations regarding a bawsman signing? Is it any time in the 6 months before acontact expires or is it only within a transfer window?
  2. Its definitely doing the rounds this one. A few of the guys in the office have heard this one as well. Amazing how fast bullshit (hopefully) can travel through the air!
  3. If you know these boards you'll know that if anybody had heard this genuine rumour then it would be on here before the last sound wave of the info had entered the well fans lug.
  4. Genuine rumour! That's brilliant when you think about it. Stone wall possibility! Potential stick on! I'm no saying it's not true - just think that's a brilliant expression you threw in there!
  5. Sorry to disappoint. Hugh's originally from Shotts and is well know locally as NOT a well fan. Good smokescreen tho!
  6. Why dont we call those bounce games reserve matches? Folk are coming back from injury all the time (and I don't even know where that is)
  7. I think the Pricing Initiative walked out the door with Ian Stillie Rustic. That's us back to regular 'A Category' (or whatever) prices for OF games. To be fair one of the most spectacular failures of the initiative was, MFC writing to OF supporters telling them how wonderful and exploited they have been for many centuries, Charging them £15 to get in to a game at Fir Park, asking their club to reciprocate the deal and getting a two fingered gesture back. I think the best answer would have been to charge £15 for the East and the Main and £65 for the Cooper and the South myself. But your right. With the sudden economic downturn etc. £25 for a football match is sticking out like a sore thumb in terms of an 'extravagance'
  8. Apart from banning training on the pitch, flitting to The Emirates or a buying a muckle steamroller (to go with oor muckle bubble), has anyone with any knowledge on the subject got any idea what a short term solution could be? We've got Accies on Sat then Sellick the following Sun - then we're away twice before either Sellick again in the cup (should we manage to get past the buddies) on the 7th or 8th March or Dundee Utd on the 14th March. Not a lot of room for manoeuvre
  9. Oooooh Love on the boards! Could this be the first steelmenonline civil partnership ceremony?
  10. No 'technically' I am one mate - although would class myself as an atheist since my early teens. Friends and family on both sides of the big divide. I've a dislike for biterness mate! any shape or form. Thanks for the concern though!
  11. No way! You read that in a 'magazine'. Shot by Both Sides indeed! That's what it feels like on here at times!
  12. I love you Lenny, you make me laugh Well done on being top of the uni class, and well done for thinking that's important in life. Its good that your impartiality and non judgmental attributes are kicking in early in your legal career. Thanks for the best wishes on the job hunt. after 25 years of trying you would have thought something would have cropped up by now. I should have stuck in at school like you. If you need a hand to get the big dirty fish hook out of your gob, give me a shout mate.
  13. I've got more intelligence in left nipple mate. Good for you tho, good for you! Stick in at yer school thingwy and that! When you graduate - you'll just be like . . . . Donald Findlay! In so many ways!
  14. I can handle that m d w - at least you recognise it happens mate!
  15. No you're more of a "I'll twist your argument" and "paint you as over sensitive politically correct" shit stirring drip! I more or less called you a liar and that's all you've got to say? Elliot and Kerr got pelters for what they said and how they behaved at MFC - I'm cool with that McCarthy gets pelters for something entirely different - something to do with international football. - i'm not into that I'm not offended. It gives people a chance to put a slur on our club. I'll tell you something though, I'm not in denial about what we sing as a support.
  16. That's complete bullshit on a number of levels! Who mentioned banning booing? Songs that only some have heard? Here's a statement. If you have been at any Well Vs Accies game this season and haven't heard "You're in the wrong fucking country" Then you're a fucking LIAR! I think the discussion is on the rights and wrongs of it - not whether it happened or not! Guys are coming on and stating their views - both sides and thats great that's what its about. Good on the guys that are standing up for the way they intend to behave. I don't agree with that and I'm arguing my point - that's what it's all about. Moderator? Shit stirrer mor like Shit stirring like that does nothing to help the forum!
  17. Is the game at Croke Park or Hampden? I'm there to support Motherwell. I don't feel part of some Motherwell based kangaroo court that is some perverted judge and jury for the SFA. I support Motherwell and Scotland but not at the same time.
  18. I've got to say that that is the poorest post I've ever read on SteelmenOnline. You quite obviously have never been to an Accies match this season at Fir Park. So we've all been wrong all along - THe various renditions of "you're in the wrong fucking country" are directed at Maros Klimpl? This has been debated before on here a few times and at least previously the guys who chanted that stuff had the balls to come on and defend those chants. You're either a non-attender, completely deaf or suffering from the worst case of denial since Bill Clinton. Honestly mate trot on and leave the discussion to folk from both sides of the argument who at least recognise what we're talking about
  19. FFS! Nobody's talking about booing him! Where have you been since the start of the season? Booing him would be a vast improvement and something that I think everyone could live with. If you dont understand the topic probably best not to post! Please don't start the 'easily offended', 'over sensitive', 'political correctness gone mad' pish again either. The original poster made a great point and it's the reputation of all of the MFC support that gets dragged through the gutter (by gleeful gutter journalists) when a certain type of abuse is directed at James McCarthy. If I understand it correctly a number of Motherwell fans are asking for the vocal section NOT to target James McCarthy in the same way that they have in the previous 3 games this season. Nothing to do with booing!
  20. I think we do a good job of dragging ourselves through the mud. If we give these guys in the media the opportunity they'll use it. The Dundee Utd fans were at it on Saturday, but as far as I can gather not a lot was made of it. We know that if it happens at Fir Park something will be made of it, as certain sections of the media love to take the opportunity. We have the opportunity not to lower ourselves, however as we can see, the temptation is too great.
