It's always blue and he wears it every game

Don't be a fanny 2-0 down we take it on the chin. Knuckle down and live to fight another day. Or throw yourself in and get an unnecessary red when we're threadbare as it is. I'm not saying he should be flogged, dropped, sold to the knackers yard or traded for some sacks of grass seed. I'm criticising his lack of discipline as a captain of our club. Nothing more than that. I'll tell you something else for nothing. I bet he agrees himself

In our position you can, no really you can

My main concern is that we sent Hetherington out on loan when you consider we've absolutely next to no c**t to play in centre mid anyway, even before wee hairy legs can do no wrong got himself sent off . . . . . Again

That looks a good starting XI Well balanced

To The Board At Motherwell Football Club

The bit in bold highlights the insanity of it all. We'd be as well signing up for everything the TV companies want and moving to the indoor pitch at Ravenscraig. We're reaching a tipping point and I genuinely hope the game in scotland reaches a ground zero point where television fucks of and the game rebuilds organically. Football games on the telly need a crowd. Live games in scotland are like Sunday league games in terms of atmosphere. There are many elements of the game in scotland that need addressed. This current farce attempts to address some while leaving several others dangling screaming for some sort of attention (anything to do with match day fans funnily enough) The club and their SPL colleagues may yet afuckingain be getting some grace from their paying support but the elastic is at the point of snapping. Fans need to get something back and soon. If these proposals go through and finances improve like they promise then they better be committing to get their fucking heads together pronto style to address the big factors that they've totally missed. The game here is on life support - the next set of developments could be significant -

No fans + tv deal = money + death Fans + no tv deal = no money + survival -
Thanks to Iain and Steelboy for relaying that back. And good to hear that constructive feedback on the effect on the match day attenders

If you don't know what parts of your posts gave that impression then you should maybe read it again. There are other proposals out there that are a compromise that could be explored - a 16 team leage 2x15 core games and a split giving an extra 7 games following that that would give 37 games in total. You'll play 7 teams 3 times but you won't be reduced to 0 points after the new year.

The problem is that football shouldn't be about stumbling from life belt to life belt. Are you seriously saying that playing each other 4 times per season does not create a situation where teams know each other inside out? Playing each other twice would be significantly different would it not? This short sighted survival at all costs / depending on the same brave souls turning up week in week out really won't sustain it. Eventually you'll be sitting yourself (no matter how wonderful, committed and better than the rest of us you are) At some point well have to fix the structure of Scottish football so it isn't the laughing stock of the world. I reiterate there are other structures available for the leagues. There are other ways of distributing wealth There are other leaders of governing bodies There are better negotiators

It sounds like we really are at the bottom of the trough and the next set of developments will define survival or death. I just can't believe that the proposed set up is the best proposal to prolong the life of Scottish football. Doncaster was right after all - Armageddon is here

Brazilian sent a few tweets from inside. I guess the nuts of it is that Scottish football has got itself into such a precarious position with sponsorship / funding, that this proposal is the only way forward and will provide us (and teams around and below) significantly improved share of the cake short term.

Yeah, an oft forgotten point

Tremendous post

Which reignites my anger at the absolutely appalling no show at ibrox There are loads of points about youth development (not as good). Getting guys int the 1st team. Constantly broadcasting our skint ness etc. however the above, very prettily I know, is what jumps out from the blurb

The justification given on Saturday will more than likely purely revolve around what Sky is prepared to offer moving forward. They want 4 Old firm games when the counterfeit h**s replace the deceased ones. I'm sure the multiple split scenario gives them some misguided notion that there will be some mega exciting games around either side of the splits. Sky is the answer -

Unfortunately I canny be fucked going, and I'm pissed off that I was gullible enough to take a personal well society membership, contribute to the steelmenonline one and pay to get in to the Dundee game. I suppose this proves that I am indeed thick and gives people the impression that I couldnt possibly understand the new league proposal. I also hope Saturday is really uncomfortable for our chief exec -

Agreed Andy, However, there's a fundamental that these clowns are forgetting before any of that is looked at. Full stadiums with atmosphere make for a better schedule. Right now it's like watching non league fitba and the It's a knockout premier league isnt gonna improve the product for the paying customer -
Whilst not naive or thick enough to not understand the financial side of things, its important to remember we're a football club and no' a fuckin bank. Until we get back to realising the core of our existence is football and not finance then the beautiful game is fucked

Yes, from top to bottom, they do. Doncaster, Regan, chairmen (and women) country wide. The game is being run for c***s that watch fitba from an armchair. In England Sky have thrown obscene amounts of cash at the EPL to fund the transfer market and fuel the grotesque rip off that it is. In Scotland they give us the crumbs, a token gesture that perpetuates the continued hand to mouth existence of the game and results in the absurd tinkering of the fixture schedule. The punters who turn up week in are being completely fleeced, ignored and disrespected. We need a single governing body, led by a passionate & positive scottish football fan, who can negotiate a sensible TV deal that does more than pay players and agents - and that may include subsisising gate prices like they do on the continent. A pipe dream I know - but is any c**t even trying? -

Surprisingly, coming from a clusterfuck of self preservation this could be the quickest route to flirting with lower league football many of us have seen for many a year. Say you had a very small squad. Got a bunch of injuries to key players resulting in a slip down the table and a joust with a bunch of teams fighting to stay in the top 12 or fighting to come up. This proposal is so bad, I can barely find the fucking words to describe it. It's perhaps the death knell we've been striving for -
Too many stats fans Not enough fitba fans
