This tainted title pish is just h un excusism. The only tainting of the spl has been by the teddy bears. Celtic's title is fair and square just as if we'd managed 2nd. We should forget about getting layed into them voccally (or visually) on Rangers behalf, re-hashing their pish material.

They should publish the split fixtures at the start of the season when we don't even know who's in what position. Week1, Team 1 vs Team 3, Team 2 vs Team 4 etc etc. In fact the fixtures and running order could be the same every year. The team losing the extra home fixture could always be 'team 6' Then any accusations of stitch up are unfounded. Everybody knows where they would stand and what finishing the pre split fixtures in a given position would mean.

Deserved something from the game today and the 11 guys in claret and amber deserve a wee bit more praise. Some of the comments a bit harsh Bit of focus next week gives us an interesting post split run in. Totally gutted today tho - I hate they c***s!

There's a compromise position Where in a 16 team league once everyone plays each other twice (30 games)the league splits for a final round of 7 games (37 games). The post split games could be prescribed at the start of the season so that nobody's 'being conned' i.e. for the first post split game Team in 1st (at the split) is at home to team in 2nd, team in 3rd is at home to team in 4th. So the fans get a bigger league - less games vs each other Sky lose only one of their holy grail OF games (after the 5 years it'll take for Newco Rangers to get from Div 3)

So that sums up what folk are railing against. Business and sport can exist together but when fair play is cast to the side by corruption and cheating all for the sake of cash the the ba's on the slates.

Good discussion Jay For me the fact that they've been 'at it' for so long - even considering they've had the odds so incredibly stacked in their favour ANYWAY - through the support they recieve, the media coverage they receive and most importantly the huge slice of the pie them and their pals have managed to carve up. It's just way beyond inexcusable. I still think that they are fucked. And I still think that outwith their current finacial situation and the pending tax case they still face further points dedcuctions / possibly relegation for other misdemeanours. If the SPL / SFA don't deal with them appropriately then the playing field is less level than even I thought it was and it's time to spend my money on guitar gear.
