Tin hat on I still struggle a bit with the overall approach to Forbes from the manager and the support. He comes in like in the Celtic game at Fir park last year and has a really strong game in his natural position and he's dropped from a great height for the next game. And he's given nothing in terms of game time for yonks after that. When he does get the odd 10 mins - it's his last chance or he's failed to take his chance. Why do we talk in terms of 'last chances' for Forbes but not for a few others who have been (quite understandably, because we're no Real Madrid) been offered a bit of slack, following a string of below par performances. Played in the right position, particularly at home he could offer us something creative through the centre - because right now we're no' seeing it down the wings Cue - the obligatory "Forbes is shite" posts *sets stopwatch*

That's the viewpoint of a Man U or a Real Madrid or an OF fan. Sure it would be great to win all these games and it would be great to go into these games as a fan with a high level of optimism and right now we do. But when you start to 'expect' it then you're just the same as those other odious c***s that have litle respect for the fundamental point that its 11 vs 11.

His nickname's Barrack

Only if it's salacious gossip OR that all the Huskers were 'well fans and Stipe was an Airdrie fan

Thought I'd bump this at the half way point. 1. To see how predictions are panning out 2. To wonder what has happened to StipeIsGod given that R.E.M. have chucked in the towel.

It's a shame. Good luck to the guy, seems a real nice bloke that is prepared to work hard.

When we beat Celtic at Fir Park last season and we were all over them like a fuckin rash. We completely shut them down. Now, while I acknowledge that we're not in crisis, I think we need to be changing the record in terms of how we play against these c***s and thinking about a more in your face type of game. You don't tinker with the back 4. You replace Jennings with the most 'like for like' that you can. And if you need to bolster up midfield then put someone else in instead of one of our forward skelfs. This in itself highlights what some have highlighted for some time as the 2nd chink in the armour - the failure to develop the squad around the 1st eleven. No matter what we think of who is on our bench. It's down to McCall and Black to develop and maintain a group of players who are match ready for the times in matches when we need to change things. I'm in the belief that although we don't have an embarrassment of riches we have fringe players that are able to come in and fill gaps when required. I'm also of the opinion that if I were Forbes, McHugh, Page etc. any confidence would be almost shot by now - and I'd add Carswell to that growing list. McCall is doing a great job. Away form has by and large been great. We need a plan B at home because we're unable to unlock the opposition. I can handle that more than Broons park the bus shite that we had to endure. However the big question mark is how we tackle the Old Firm teams. There's no doubt that there's something psychological going on where we're giving them far far too much respect and standing right off them. Two performances out of something like 9 games (celtic at home / rangers semi) is abysmal. I don't know if the players are not up for it when they cross the white line or if they've been cautioned by McCall against commiting to challenges for any number of reasons. This might come across as a bit of a negative rant. It's not meant to be. We're doing great and McCall is surpassing expectations. But there are, I believe, flaws and it doesn't do any harm to get them out there and discuss them.

I suppose the irony is lost on those that don't read up on a thread before posting

If there is any truth in the rumoured financial states of Rangers and Hearts then they will be decimated in the window.

That's all we're asking for

Maybe its to do with Rangers wanting the unsold tickets returned prior to the game. Put office holidays at both clubs into the mix .......

Big season ticket prices at Iboak?

MJC must have his iPhone with him at the game.
-
It'll be the back of 10 befor MJC toddles along - depends on the traffic

Just phoned Warnock and McLeish there. They assure me that Jellyfish and Davis wont be playing due to their imminent moves.

I don't think we'll have a better chance of beating these odious c***s. They're shite. I think we'll horse them. They're the worst Rangers team in living memory.
