  1. I still think you're a bit angry
  2. You're mistaking lack of desire with lack of confidence. That's unfortunate
  3. Fair enough. I think if we sort things out positionally around him he'll be useful
  4. If we play like yesterday we won't go through. If we play like we can (and have) then we will. We'll need a reaction though.
  5. Higdon hasn't been as bad as some are painting. I think it's poor show to be coming up with names like that for our own players as well Jim.
  6. Murphy was playing on the halfway line yesterday. What use is that to Higdon if he's meant to be laying the ball off to the side or attempting to nod it forwards
  7. While respecting people's right to single players out for a bit of stick it has to be noted that 10 or 11 players were just as bad yesterday and at other times this season. Craigan, Jennings, Lasley and Murphy having holes down the spine was as big a reason as any for our poor showing. Randolph, Hately, Humphrey and Hammel also contributed with mares. Law tried valiantly to set a high standard but gave up an joined the rest. However I noted Clancy and Higdon being singled out for a special kind of stick.
  8. We'll be OK, you can see from the first 15 mis we're capable of playing decent stuff. One of the big problems for me remains to be that the fundamentals of football management are not being applied and that will begin to cause long term problems. If the 11 players the management picks week in week out stay on the park for 90 mins (by and large) regardless of how bad they are playing and regardless of how early that is apparent. What message does that send them? If our subs remain on the bench, by and large, for 90 mins regardless of what pish unfolds in front of them. What message does that send them? If a player comes in for a suspension and has an excellent game in a victory for instance and is then dropped as soon as the sinner becomes available. What message does that send. Yeah our squad is small. But that's the way we're running it. But if you don't do the basics of squad management. You end up with 11 'untouchables' that believe that any old shite will do. And 5 or 6 players on the bench that are no use to you that have been so badly treated that their confidence is shot. McCall''s job as well as keeping his sacred cows on their toes is to fire his subs up to be valuable and confident additions to his team whenever they're required no matter what anybody thinks of their ability. If someone's having a mare, get them fuckin hooked. That's not all that has been wrong the past few games but its a big part of it.
  9. Aye that's true - i was talking about the past cuppla seasons since the park was re-donw
  10. Aye really! Nothing to to with rain or mud. The drainage is top notch at Fir Park. Other factors affected the breakdown in the pitch. The pitch broke up because the root system was overcooked by undersoil heating and suffocated with covers during the snow and frost. The sand was added to and rolled to try and create a flat surface when it began to break up. I'm happy to help
  11. Like a few have said, Sutton will outlast Sergio. He's definitely no worse than the the tatto adverts that the fud is currently picking.
  12. Ooft - Quality Just quoted it so you8 canny edit it when you sober up
  13. The problem over the past few years have never included mud
  14. Doesny surprise me. It's no a fuckin Phil Collins cover anyway dude
  15. Can somebody tweet it to the dude who posted it on the fishal twatter site pls?
  16. It alarms me no end, however I've been giving this great though and believe I have the answer. Any winner deserves a good sound system so we'd need that sorted first Cheesy euro metal pop is a no-no as is the stuff that everyone else uses like Blooby Williams Let Me . . . Encourage you to Blow Your Brains Oot etc. I think the tune is from the countrymen of our great NIrish servants Colin O'Neil, Stevie Craggo and erm Brian McLean - the band is Stiff Little Fingers and the choon is aptly enough "Go For It!" It's an instrumental from the album of the same name from 1980 / 81 ish We need something to get the crowd on their feet and get hands clapping - SLF used this (and still do) as their intro music for live shows from that album onwards and it always got the crowd up for the gig. The more musical amongst us will see that there's an opportunity when the main guitar riff kicks in which is (35secs on the album track) to get a triple handclap and a Moth-er-well chant going (the bit in the youtube clip where the punters start sing jibberish over the music). Youtube clips of the actual track are few and far between but there are a few of recent gigs with the intro music into the first track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR7wTJK_1T4
  17. Omar God I Can't Believe It I've Just Scored Six Goals Away From Home
  18. Agreed It's fuckin stupid to deliberately take ourselves towards their level too though
  19. That was Forrest's best game to date. He has been on the edge of the first team there and I think in terms of what both players had shown up to the squad selection prior to the two qualifiers. Murphy was a way in front. One game doesn't change it all, however Forrest might push on from this and establish himself in their first team. The involvement of youngsters in the national team set up generall results in a big confidence boost. I remember the effect it used to have on Tom Boyd way back. I think the old Internationla confidence boost theory kicked in on Saturday (plus getting the early goal) I had watched a few of Sellicks televised games prior to saturday and to be frank the we guy couldnae kick his own arse. I feel for Murphy because the opposite could be true of him. Thinking that he's probably due a wee call up and it doesn't come. Then when we've one striker left standing he mibbe thinks 'I could be in here' - then no call comes. Heid could be doon. Let's hope he doesn't take it (too) personally and can get back to some decent form.
  20. Europe, AC/DC, Kasabian, Rammstein etc. Fuckin hell what a scary thread. Somebody add Pink Floyd or Survivor's Eye of the Tiger quick - so we've got a full house of shite we shouldn't run out to.
  21. There's definitely a glut of w ingers on here
  22. Aye I think either Glancy, Humphries or Hatley should take Hutchison's place In other new's Clancy will probably fill in for Hutchinson
  23. Thanks Stuart. I didn't know that
