  1. Hey, of course we've had a good start to the season and in pre-season / other league games we've played good stuff. But yesterday we made an almighty rip roaring c**t of it that's fair enough as well NEXT!
  2. Pity these hot shot coppers weren'y at Celtic Park last November - as far as I understand Celtic are still working hard to identify the poppy protesters.
  3. As manager McCall has the tools to addreess this on two fronts, He has a couple of cards still to play in the transfer market. And he can also bring the young guys into the picture via sub appearances and a wee bit of squad rotation here and there. it doesn't have to be on a massive scale - a wee starting slot here nad there. They'll remain inexperienced until someone starts giving them game time. It's been that way here for years - managers need to take that leap.
  4. Mibbez he should have a read at one or two of the points made by punters before he cheerily sent this out. Agree with most of it although don't see why we have to accept that we have no chance basically of defeating these c***s. Tell that to Terry Butcher
  5. True that Finlay. As a few have said all along - it won't be OF fans being huckled out week in week out - thats too difficult. Those poor innocent Rangers fans eh?
  6. Thought their was a really depressing lack of belief in the 2nd half. Thats probably the most constructive way to convey my thoughts on the playing front. I think we, like so many times before blew it tactically an from a management side of things. I have no idea how or where Murphy was asked to play today. Absolutely stumped. Also, I'd go back to the point I made through the week - if we bring someone into the team in previous weeks and that player has played well then I think in football terms its good practice to accommodate that player in the next game. That, and not using any substitutes when there are some very poor performances on show sends a wrong message to both the unused subs and the players who aren't performing. This side of McCall's managerial style will end up breaking the confidence of fringe players and tells players who aren't performing not to worry as their position is bullet proof. We should have been all over them like a rash today. Instead we were unstructured, gung-ho and overall 'daft boyish'. Made a shite team look good. Supporters are singling one or two of the usual suspects for criticism. I witnessed one or two of the golden boys having absolute shockers. Time to learn and move on. For fuck sake Stuart, learn from yet another naive display against Rangers.
  7. Sair wan. While I appreciate its a dear old game and I don't begrudge anybody staying away given the general tightness of dosh. Surely the players would be more fired up for an old firm game if they ran out to more fans via the OF rather than less. And surely if you're a well fan and you have limited funds the money would be better going towards our budget rather than Hibs or ICT's Tomorrow they'll have their section jam packed and they'll stand to a man for 90 mins - which is as good as a goal start
  8. 'Getting in their faces' signals a change. It worked last season vs Celtic and it sure beats 'stand back and admire'
  9. Our crowd shrinks for a live game.
  10. Stuart McCall kept Humphrey quiet in the semi - he played him when he was injured.
  11. Aye - I think it was touched on earlier in the thread fergie. What I read at the weekend was - we're looking for two centre backs - one left, one right, capable of filling in at full back. Plus a wide player to give us attacking options
  12. ^^^^^^^^^ Reality Alert! Reality Alert!
  13. nobody said any of that - just waiting for the first man without the bus fair to stumble along
  14. Watched their game vs ICT and playing them will be a nightmare, Naismith is one of the most odious diving complaining c**t that you'll ever see. Given that he gets results from this - means he's constantly at it. It's time for us to redress the balance right enough, I'd go with the 4-5-1 shouts with the option to switching back should it fail to give us anything. We need to apply the principles that generate good teams - your form fades you take a seat on the bench, you come in and do a job - we give you a chance.
  15. It's like a negative photie of Big Jamie Murphy
  16. Clarky out of the picture at Bristol by the looks of it - Seems to have played in Bristol City X1s in pre season and not on the bench yesterday. Had his No9 shirt taken off him (he's 16 now) Nice wee loan move Clarky?
  17. He's done plenty while nursing an injury. Pulls central defenders about and lays of loads of passes. What's wrong don't you want to see it?
  18. A run in the team is 15 games not 15 mins.
  19. I'm really sorry Ian, but Jeffers did a much better job for us than you ever made out.
