I was up at Fir Park on the morning we signed him and he was floating around with (or sorry, behind) his entourage and I remember quite clearly thinking to myself - "what the actual fuck is going on here". Well put fatcalf. Didn't make the game yesterday - but watching it back the well support were phenomenal on how they outsung the other lot. As Modernist outlined on his previous post. I was scathing of our performance against them a few weeks back in the league - the team weren't up for it and we failed to match them. But then again as a support we didn't match them either. En masse - they stay standing in their allocated sections at Fir Park and we all sit down. It's time for us to match them at home games. btw I took in a First Div game on Sat - and folk were standing all across the back of the stand and in the wings too. Not a steward in site. Guys allowed to enjoy their fitba - it's no difficult.

All you can ask (after the CIS Final debacle) is that the team turns up and gives it their all. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The lads did us proud.

If I wanted to discuss the effectiveness of Alan Gow - I'd go dig out the Opta stuff on passes completed, distance covered, assists etc. - that type of stuff would all me to compare him to other players. I have my own opinions on how good a player he was from watching the fucker and that will do me. As it does for most of the paying public. My point is - if I looked at our results from the post administration season I'd come to the conclusion that statistically - Faddy was utter shite. However having watched him in a claret and amber shirt I've got a different perspective. Stats in the wrong hands are dangerous. If you're judging something you need to be looking at the relevant stats to make the call. That's where the knowledge and understanding part comes in. Judging any single player on the results of a team is quite fuckin simply bullshit - and if it's put forward, it's been put forward by someone who has absolutely no understanding of statistics.
