  1. Looks a bit like The Hamster to me.
  2. He was 'Pretty Vacant' on the left a few times - Jenno - didn't spot him though. Looks a bit peely wally - would need factor 76 - if he was to 'Holiday in the Sun'
  3. I'm afraid it looks like the beginning of the end for new pitch number 2. I sincerely hope it can be salvaged but the transformation from lawn to desert looks to be once more underway. I tend to listen to onthefringes on these matters - he's very rarely not 'on the money'
  4. Also looking at the big 'Russian Marlon King' - Yanker Titzov
  5. So far we've lost 5 (including a left sided midfielder, our top scorer, the man who set up our last SPL goal and one of top assets We've brought in 2 sorry 1 Fuckin ooft!
  6. By going for a 10 we're admitting to being hamstrung to their subsidy anyway. The idea behind sharing gate money is that 'the event' of a league match can only happen because of the existence of the league and all the teams in the league. It was always the way it was until the carve up was made to make the OF even more powerful. 'Football' revenue through the turnstyles is only possible because the league or cup competion is organised and the other teams exist. Admittedly it's seen as old fashioned and idealistic - but things have grown more and more imbalance since the sharing of gates was scrapped. maybe a compromise - and a huge advertising boost for clubs would be to keep a higher percentage of their season book sales for themselves) The fundamental reason for the mismatch of those two will remain. They milk the fact that they are aligned to the two main religions in the land - and kids up and down the country will have that handed down as the reason they support that particular club as opposed to their geographical locatio. (I know there are a host of ways someone supports a team - but no-one can argue that religion (by miles) and location (in 2nd place are the two main factors0 If they didn't have their religion - they'd be more Hibs / Hearts size
  7. Sorry for your loss steetee. Pat chipped into a few debates on here. Thoughts are with you and your family. RIP Wellworn
  8. Quoted as gospel a thousand times but noone has ever revealed where. So I ask yet again, where was this interview? However if true, wee nice guy Judas proved if you don't have a contract you don't need permission. Was the contract presented ever drawn up to accurately reflect the discussions that preceded it?
  9. I predict scarves and season books on the park at this one. Dunno what end at tho
  10. Is that not a straight red?
  11. Yep! Just read the Killie chairman's comments and the reference therein to the Butcher claim that ICT chairman was being bullied primarily by the OF. Won't make it to the meeting - but I suppose my main question is - Given that JB has already covered this too, when will we take on the OF - & is there a consensus in the other 10 to take them on at some point? Good step to hold the event also - well done
  12. I heard a different account and that's the truth
  13. Ouch! Factual? Scathing? accurate? Well Informed? or Total fuckin shite!
  14. Commonly referred to as the dark days Ooft - hatchet job - £850K debt - club on the brink etc A couple of 6s and a 7 vs the OF in quick succession if I mind right as well.
  15. Bit of a shame if true - the only time he'll ever see Mark Reynolds play is if we play Wednesday in a friendly Pretty uninspiring if it comes to pass. His CV apart grom us is impressive. R*****s, Airdrie, Hearts - Ooft - nearly a full hoose!
  16. Good post Mr Doncaster. obviously you have a problem with understanding what's been expressed. We acknowledge the points you make but don't accept that sookin sky and the collective old firm boaby is the way ahead. good luck with your job
  17. A lot of things have changed over the course of this. We've seen laid bare the internal motivation for decision making within the SPL and it's pretty depressing. JB tried some damage limitation - but damage was done within our own club as part of the steering committee. The lack of consultation with the fans (as source of finance #1) and the total fuckin disregard for views that they have since expressed through several avenues has been shocking - in preference for TV (source of finance #2). the end result? I think a lot of folk are getting to the point that they are beginning to question the support they offer their clubs and in many cases they've decided to chuck it. many actually want to see this fail and where before they'd be concerned for the success of a club or the game in general they'd be quite happy to see the whole thing fold like a pack of cards. Would I be as bothered if our club folded now in the same way I was when we went in to admin? Unfortunately no I honestly wouldn't. Fuck the lot of them!
  18. Stevie Wonder just went by my window on a bike shouting "They've been bought!, They've been bought ! . . . . allegedly" I think I might be agreeing with him
  19. I remember the move from the old 1st Div to the Premier League. There were technically meaningless game in the old 1st - however meaningful doesn't necessarily mean entertaining. Very quickly the focus went from winning the game to trying desperately not to lose - and it was even worse then because the backpass rule hadn't been brought in (goalie could lift it and wander around the box for a wee while - Jambos and Sheep were experts). Teams were playing any type of football necessary to stay in the league. Looking at the goals scored per game isn't necessarily a barometer of entertainment level. Entertainment level is how good the football is. A step back to 10 and that very claustrophobic environment where teams shit themselves to drop a point - isny a good thing. Plus the games come round all that quicker.
  20. The primary concern is providing entertaining football - not getting money from Sky. And Sky are only interested in giving away old firm fans a baw hum - otherwise like in EPL we'd see the best games every week not whatever half empty pish away from home the OF are playing. This whole thing stinks like an East Stand wife beater
  21. Batter in mate - dunno what it'll acheive - but we'll still be pals
  22. How well is a man with a thousand thick fat sweaty wife beaters on their back expected to play anyway?
