  1. This will be for next season if agreed, won't it?
  2. Anybody thinking - Doncaster, Mange-rs, Smelltic and a couple of their lap dugs - Hibs, Hearts, Sheep etc. wait for the rest to sit doon. Right this is how it is. Sky telly, The big two and their armchair brigade, plus their lap dugs don't really care who they play outwith the 4 OF games so if yer no' with us - we'll break away and invite - Dunfermline, Falkirk, Dundee etc to join us in a 10. Whaddyas think now? Eh - OK Mr Doncaster we're right behind you.
  3. That old chestnut. I'm a season ticket holder and I still think it's mental that we're no' floggin seats. Everybody has their own reasons for buying a season book Mines isn't purely the discount. I know that if I pay it up front I'll get to all the games. if I didn't come near payday I'd be missing matches. I also think it's good that I can make that financial commitment to the club. I'd buy a season ticket regardless of what incentives were being offered on a semi regular basis to increase the fan base. (although like we've discussed in other threads the move back to 10 teams has me seriously wavering) Some folk would be spittin feathers though - agreed.
  4. A gun to the head (with the Sky logo on it) works wonders.
  5. The more you think about it though. You should be charging what the product is worth in the market and what research tells you would increase attendances. Right now clubs charge the people they believe will be there regardless, the most they can get away with. I think it's a shame that there are probably guys sitting in the house that would pay £10 or £15 while the club would quite happily have empty seats. Another area where in Scottish Footbal very little imagination has been applied. What about a limited section of £15 seats on a Saturday. (first come first served) What about a buy in advance ticket - buy it a few weeks in advance and you get it cheaper. (bit like some of the train companies)
  6. That's brilliant considering most kids start walking about 10months - hopefully the wee vindictive c**t will be able to enjoy school now. Good for him
  7. Kevin Phillips has just told the OF to hang fire the noo - til he see's how it goes in the bounce game as well. Things are looking up guys.
  8. Incorrect - as stated previously I am J** G****n I do however wish I was the fat smelly wife beatin no use bastard, who last ran the circumfernce of himself in the 80's, who sprayed half the east stand with a mixture of pie, bovril, saliva and mair pie - who stood up and shouted - "You're a disgrace!" at a 20 yr old" If I was him I'd be real pwoud
  9. Ronaldo isn't our centre half - so anyway in his role of running at defences - he'll occasionally find he's disposessed or a wee tricky interplay goes astray. The point is that I think our central defence has been poor particularly at home and we've lost more than we've won (more than we should have anyway). I don't see Messi making many last ditch goal line clearances in the games I watch on the telly either btw
  10. I knew stats would blow me out the water! me - I use my eyes. At every home game this season - I've watched certain individuals continually and constantly give away posession to the opposition and invite on immediate pressure. Stats? Marc Fitzpatrick - 3 starts - 8 goals for - 1 goal against
  11. I think our central defensive pairing has been crying out for freshening up for some considerable time.
  12. Ocht it must've fatcalf. Did he no' fall oot a plane at 20000 ft without a parachute or somethin?
  13. Aye - I knew it was his fault in what? November 2009?
  14. I had erased Boxing Day 2010 from my memory
  15. Yep! I'll rephrase what I was gonna type in a more positive fashion. Given the performances we've endured in defence this season - why the fuck has it taken 20 odd games and 3 managers to see Hutch getting his first sniff?
  16. A lot of reports at the weekend were stating that we were on the lookout for a defender to replace Reynolds (thet might be paper talk or it might be a direct SMcC quote) However with Page, Hutch and Saunders Capable of coming in then I don't think thats the priority. A left mid aye. A penalty box poacher aye. Competition for left back berth - would be nice. Other than that - tha panic isny huge. Get the young lads into the squad and get the troops majorly rallied.
  17. The only problem - and the main problem that we've never moved forward is that one club will never take those steps in isolation. They need their pals to do it at the same time
  18. Quite shocked at the state of the pitch on Saturday vs our last home game (Hearts) - considering it took place after all the snow and shit it's some deterioration in a spell when it's not seen any action. On the positive side - it doesn't seem to be ruffling up like a carpet just yet
  19. I like Humphrey and I'm prepared to wait til he regains his form - I'm pleased we've got a young guy that will put in extra shifts to work on his shortcomings and I'm sure he'll continue to do that. We need to be accomodation to developing / improving players at our club. He ended up chucking in a couple of decent balls in the 2nd half yesterday and he actually 'cut inside' a couple of times towards the end of the game. Although I think he was forced inside rather than it being a deliberate choice - and therein lies the next area he needs to work on. When talkin about assists etc. Something that my brother pointed out yesterday - how much are we missing the amount of opportunites JOB provided through his running at defences / getting free kicks etc. He wisny perfect either but when you take away what he offers - you must acknowledg the reduction in goalscoring oppertunities he created.
  20. It was definitely hard work yesterday and it could easily have been a defeat but it wasn't. Good to see Hutch come in and do a job - he made a couple of slip ups - however it looked like there were two of him compared to one of each of our other defenders at times. Confidence / tiredness / staleness looks like an issue - nothing that a wee sneaky result and a bit of rotation wouldn't sort out More positive today than I was at 5.00pm last night.
  21. I think if the weather is better - football is a more attractive option for a family day or night out. Look back to our Euro games in recent seasons both here and Airdrie - good family turm-outs throughout. I think in summer weather it's a much better proposition for families. I think it would boost our Euro prospects as we'd be up and running in terms of the season, the way Scandanavian teams are, by the time the euro season kicks off. We should be looking to emulate the success in attendances, performances, stadia in Scandanavia - instead of looking to emulate our chums down south. Plus we don't have the cash to keep our playing surfaces in the same condition as the english top flight - with their lighting systems and whatnot If we are so hamstrung by the TV dollar - as evidence from discussions with Doncaster has shown recently - then why not put ourselves out there as the only show in town for TV over the summer.
