Cryptic Call for Scoobie and the Mystery Machine
-
I'm not really bothered whether we win or lose to be honest. As kmcalpin says in the other thread things right now are a bit of a mess and it's time for McCall to start picking up the pieces. We need to strike a balance of rebuilding the squad for next tern / the future and staying up. It looks like we're offering less than appealling offers to potential new players (or as a club we don't appeal). Rebuilding time again which might mean short term we take a couple of hits. I'd be happy with a line up including some of Hutch, Page, Meechan, Halsman, Pollock, McHugh etc and us having a right sleeves up go at ICT. The same faces going through the paces if they can be bothered isn't an option

The whole situation with this non-player is a farce and his antics (along with his various agents' antics) are an embarrassment. How the fuck were our board conned into parting with money for this preposterous situation Makes the Holm Kraska fiasco look like good business
-
I didn't either beleive me I didn't - but i've watched him recently and he's come on a ton. I think Richie Foran has developed into a really decent & commited player

i agree its the same folk on the same side of the same fences. Some like myself will never see the value in berating a young player the way that it happens either on here or in the East stand. It's fundamentally counterproductive. Of course Ross Forbes has hardly kicked a ball in 12 months - because well because he's harly kicked a ball - aye he's taken a couple of steps back. He's better playing a more anchored cetral role - collecting and passing. that's a view held by a few. He got a start a few months back at Fir Park and he played wide left and - running at defences isn't the thing we should be asking him to do for 90 mins. If we go back 18 months to the start of last season he had some great games and some good games and then he ran out of steam - so we all should know what he's 'capable' of. The goal at McDairmid on the opening day of the season being a particular peach. He need to build his confidence and he need support - not a total berating. Or to be made a scapegoat for an away defeat in what was his first start in a while. The view from those that were there were mixed - that's fine. Some said he did OK others said he was shite that's fine as well. But we had folk on here that weren't at the game - hearing that he was on the teamsheet, blaming him for the loss and dismissing him as shite within 10 mins of the final whistle. That's wrong It's been asked a thousand times on here - what actual purpose does that serve? I'd rather support him as a product of our youth - week in week out hoping that he returns to form and gets a spell in his favoured position than some Spanish charlatan Mo Johnston equivalent that 'only wants to play for' any half arsed outfit stupid enough to give him a trial. if you actually read the thread - you'd see no-one said he was a world beater. folk are just asking for him to be given a chance and a bit of support to regain what he showed 18 months ago. If you want to defend your right to paste him (or any other whipping boy of the month) then that's cool too though.

What's also astonishing is the rate at which we appear to be passing each other in the league. I understand that Brown, Knox and Blackman are all doing whatever they thin is best for them in terms of their own aspirations. i can live with that no hassle. What pisses me off is the way that his public persona that he likes to convey is all so 'honourable'. i.e. the public persona of Craig Brown would stand aside and give Motherwell the opportunity to fix the guy up - not go in direct competition with us on a player immediately. But we all know that theres nothing different or honourable about the wee c**t.
-
I know there's a thread on it probably steelboy, but what would you change for ICT?
-
Plenty shepherds tho

Follow the thread named 'In's and Out's' mate one of the best things to do is click the 'Viev New Posts' link towards the top right of the screen when yer signed in and you'll see the threads that folk are busy posting on Edit: Oh and by the way there's diddly squat on the rumours front
-
I fully agree - however it's the internet naebody can read yer lips. I'm not overly fussed that Blackman's away (until he bags a hat trick against us) What it does highlight is the mess them to fuds left us in. And the absolute mess that we're in right now wrt to a squad. That's got loads to do with them fucking off - but I'm unsure about how much it's got to do with our forward planning and our contingency planning and our approach to our current squad. Sutton? Fitzpatrick? Jennings? Do we / did we want them to go - what are we / were we doing to keep them i dunno - I'm just askin

Nice wee article

The TV thing is beginning to bug me more and more as well. Sky and ESPN call the shots. The paying punter / game attender is being stretched further and further. Why? So armchair experts can sit and watch all sorts of fitba for a couple of quid a week, pollute offices with their inane punter drivel, and perpetuate the dire shite that is football phone ins.
-
I dunno mate - I'm getting the impression we didn't try that har to keep him

12?

Discussed on a couple of other threads Off to Ross County Longer contract / similar or better wages Great move for him
-
At least Shivute was genuinely entertaining - I'd have him anyday over that imposter. All joking aside - when I sit down and think about the current state of the club - I'm actually really and seriously concerned. More concerned than i've been for a long long time. I'm used to the rollercoaster and it genuinely holds no fear for me - whether we're up or whether we're down. There are signs though, I think, that we are in a really unfortunate position - i.e. struggling to muster up the wages for a whole squad of full time players. & i actually find it amazing (and quite depressing) - given the state of the club that so many people find the situation regarding this c**t and the two old c***s who signed him amusing in any way. Casagolda GTF
-
So it looks like there might be another couple of departures coming up - Reynolds likely and Casagolda hopefully. Sutton and Jennings are real risks - as any sensible offer will need to be looked at and you're hoping that they can remain focused in the event of them signing a pre-contract elsewhere. McCall must be under a wee bit of pressure. In the Herald this morning, I see in his post match comments - he's not getting a lot of calls back on the enquiries he's making. Interesting times
-
I'd be seriously pissed off if this comedy player and his comedy agent aren't at Fir Park today talking about how his contract can be 'bought out'. Dicks like this are a luxury we can't afford at this time. In fact I'm pissed off that he got a jersey last night
-
I don't think this will fly - In fact Matt has dodded it right on the heid to be fair. I'd add though that in terms of outlay as I've posted elsewhere - mine's looks like it will be dropping off too. I've got a wee system going whereby I put money aside to ensure I can afford the ST when it comes round - first time I've been in that position in my life - for long spells I just didn't have that kind of dosh at that particular time. I seriously think it could be going on musical equipment or something this year. One of the fundamental problems with the OPs idea though is that you will have all sorts of tantrums among those contributing to a transfer fund - if it's not perceived to have been used wisely by sections of the contributors.

Saturday's gonna be a big one then. Need to get back on the league bike double quick
