Am I not entitled to my view Andy Seriously? if you read the posts you'll see that more than a couple actually agree that Young didn't do much in his brief spell. You'll also see that i didn't bring any other individuals into the conversation. So contrary to what you think - I gave my view to the question in hand. And I didn't muddy the waters / wind anyone up by dragging any other individauls into the conversation. i'm sorry my views don't conform to the expected norm. However they are my views and I'm perfectly entitled toair them (even though their not drastically different to a number of posters)

Jay, I completely understand that and agree that the players bottocks should be red raw for their scandalous lack of application That's exactly what happened and he didn't want to be there. Due a medal? Sorry No and btw Jim Gannon's a c**t I think not!
-
@ muzz What the fuck has jim gannon to do with this thread?
-
That's it in a nutshell kmcalpin
-
well fi2810 - I know someone had to. i'm only saying that he did fuck all
-
How can you say that? Jim Gannon's a c**t
-
gannon has fuck all to do with the thread and I hev no apologies for calling you a dick in bringing him into it. Absolutely fuck all to do with anything other than perhaps a personal dig at myself for defending him on other threads. and the old dragging us into the relegation dogfight is just utter utter pish. but like as many many people have said - people defend him because dicks like yourself have a go when there is absolutely no reason to bring him into the conversation. The thread is about Gordon Young's spell in charge. That's Gordon Young exclusively - no other individual I gave my views and they are as valid as anyone's. Anyone else can provide theirs What the fuck Jim Gannon's got to do with it I fail to see. I'm glad you know him personally and i'm sure he's a decent fella. But in his spell in charge he did diddly squat - so unfortunately I feel he shat it so there y'are
-
Aye really tell me different like!
-
Another 6 months for Fitz Let's hope the new guy sees the benefit the old c**t didnt

It's amazing how the time flashes by Jim. The images from that game are fresh in my mind and will never ever fade I suspect. As they won't I suspect to everyone else who was there. My heart goes out as always to his family - What a huge loss someone like Phil must be. I also feel for everyone who was involved with the club at the time. The management team, the staff and the players. At the same time I remember Phil the player and the man. What a privelege it was to watch him in the two spells at the club. There is only one Phil O'Donnell Rest easy sir!

I don't know if i'd have done beter mate. But I know without a shadow of a doubt I wouldn't have shat out of changing things vs Hearts and Rangers Youngy shat it big time and unfortunately I have no respect for him for that. Thats zero (and being complementary) In his time in charge he did the square root of fuck all - he deserves absolutely no credit. I'm sorry - if he'd have done something I'd have been full of praise. But he did fuck all - so there's nothing to credit him for. Pleased he's back to his day job
-
Well said man
-
Thanks Youngy ma hole Fuckin spineless and abyssmal away and have a fuckin word wi yerselfs
-
if mccall is the man, then like every other manager we've had i wish him all the very best. Good luck son Thanks for grasping the nettle. Let's fuckin have it. C'mon the well

I think we'll struggle this time round to attract anyone of note. I get the feeling that right now we probably have less to play with in terms of player budget than we've ever had. We haven't had any sales of note for a while and there are none on the horizon. The way we are playing right now a bumper CIS cup final payday is highly unlikely so the semi final bump will be as good as it gets for a while. If there's virtually zero budget available then we're looking for a different type of guy to come in. Not many managers these days go for the Motherwell type of challenge So we may have to aim a bit lower this time round

Gannon stated that he was prepared to sign a contract but the club could never draft it in a way that reflected discussions. i don't know the truth in that. Possibly someone in the know will know It just strikes me that depending on the cast - we seem to be prepared to have distict views of the same story. The contract situation - Gannon being difficult, Craig being a gent Gannon's man management - or things being made difficult for him Disrespect of senior pros - or senior pros not getting with the programme. we'll never know really Fuck - even though it'll implicate no-one - nobody seems to be able to offer one club that the devil himself was interviewed for We're led to believe that he moaned about the quality of his tracksuit ( aye right) - what a c**t eh? when we had 670 pages on here about folk complaining that their replica shirt couldnt withstand a scraping doon a roughcast wall whilst pished - that's ok for us tho He was a c**t for moaning about / winding up Dallas - yet we've been on the receiving end of som hellish ref displays this season at fir park this year and we've had no end of guys on here moaning, quite rightly about it - reams of it in fact. So again Ok for us, not OK for Jimbo
-
I'm not preaching any message - I'm just discusssing the issues that are unfolding and offering my opinion. The profile of who we are after is pretty much the profile of the guy we discarded.
-
Stop asking difficult questions you. the old 'someone in the club told me' joker card has been played. I heard from someone in the club that he killed grannies and buried them under the park - that's how the ush got gubbed. Must be true.
-
How many fanny's basiclly run out of anything decent to counter the argument with and end with - he was a bit of a dick, he was an arsehole. Excellent stuff lads - how many football managers could you NOT level that at?
-
Unlike most on here. Football on the deck Absolute faith on youth A long term strategy - which included generating money from sale of players. development of young players through first team experience. Absolutely ruthless handling of old fuds who coundnae pass a ball on the deck if their life depended on it. Challenging bad ref decisions - instead of patting the c***s on the back The improvement in reynolds, hutchison, forbes, mchugh, (slane), saunders, hateley - all have by and large stalled under brown Craig Brown inherited a decent situation from Gannon - only problem was the unrest caused by the auld fuds / houswives favourites. Which in his defence he turned round quickly. However in terms of long term strategy he set about the foundations with a sledgehammer from the inside. The job that Gannon did following McGhee's mess was astonishing. Some folk at the club should be ashamed of theirselves for the 'revisionism' about Gannon's term in charge. thankfully a few of us on here can generally see through the bullshit - we were heading somewhere (if we'd have had the stomach for it). Now we need someone to come in and do exactly what Gannon did. Exactly what Gannon did Hopefully the first thing any new guy does is carry out what he was trying to do and weed out the folk that are causing us to tread water. onwards and upwards cmon the Well

I've never heard any such evidence. History's been rewritten and the man was demonised. Still never seen evidence or details of all these interviews he was having either (even though a few of us have asked on countless occassions) One mans 'poor man management' is another mans 'being undermined by the disaffected senior players' I'll say it again our club didn't have the ball to match Gannon's ambition. after a few bad results we shat it and backed Craigan and co. The contract situation was a convenient smoke screen. This could be one of the biggest fundamental mistakes in the recent history of the club. Of course I know he won't come back - it's just funny to see how we've disintegrated due to the failure to take any cognicence of our long term footballing plan under the messiah Brown. i say messiah because that's what most thought. Even though a few of us said many times that the foundations were being allowed to crumble with the obsession with getting points short term, We reap what we sow. Saturday summed up much much more about us than anything. Rangers players contested every ball and decision 500% stronger than us, Their arsehole support defiantly stood and urged their team on for the full 90 mins. As a club we sat on our arse in the stands (or more commonly - in the pub / house) and watch as they fuckin steamrollered us in a display of determination and solidarity Fuckin sickening We will struggle this time round to bring anyone in - we've little in the way of sellable assets (thanks Paul Slane etc) and we haven't sold anyone since Clarky and Quinn. Old Mother Hubbard Boyle's cupboard is bare. Most managers would run a mile
-
The only man that fits the bill is Gannon Pity as a club we don't have the balls to execute on the plans and move the club forward. too many fabrications and non truths and too many didn't like it up them - it's a shame that they won. The club have gone backwards under Brown in real terms (chasing results for results sake) Bring back Gannon
-
If we go with the same team / formation / attitude / naivety / charitable approach as saturday then we will get well and truly fuckin humped and we'll give Lennon's tadgers a shot in the arm. I know Gordon is just keeping things ticking over - however more of the same won't do. It could be his last game and he simply has to do something different - he's nothing to lose. we'll get fuckin trounced otherwise Randolph Hateley Reynolds Hutchison Hammell Fitzpatrick Forbes Lasley Gow Sutton Murphy

Fuckin closer to Baresi ability wide than his senior squad mates
