Much more encouraged by that rather than have direct links to Ticketmaster. I have worked with them numerous times and they have a terrible habit of putting themselves (and their profits) first. They are not afraid to move the goalposts as well whenever it suits them. If it is a license for the software then we will have a fixed annual rental contract and full control of ticketingand pricing.

I think it will take a seriously stupid offer for Kipre not to be here next year. He is full of positives for his short time with us and pretty confident he will serve another year, continue to play week in week out (which he has repeated is his priority) and then move on summer 2019 for a fair whack to a top end Championship club at the absolute minimum. Would not be surprised in the slightest if we get a £300k odd bid from one of the bigot brothers this summer thou! Already had a few blue noes mates confident he would be solid back up for them!

Scottish Cup Final v Celtic (Hampden) 19/05/18 15:00
Well Up For It! replied to something else's topic in Club Chat
I'm quite confident we will have more there than the 12000 at the League Cup Final. Already had a few texts from mates down South and overseas to see if I can assist getting them a ticket. Scottish Cup carriers a far bigger buzz. 16,000-17,000 'Well fans I reckon. -
Taking this thread on a bit of a tangent, but amongst our group on Saturday we spent a bit of time talking about who we will lose in the summer and we came to the collective conclusion that for the first time in a long time we have a fair whack of sellable assets - Campbell, Cadden, Kipre, Main, Carson and even Tait will be of interest to a lot of clubs and will be interesting to see what bids, if any, come in for them. Personally, I will be amazed if we still have Carson next season and think we will see one more move on for a decent transfer fee.

I went for Grimshaw, but was a tough choice as so many never put a foot wrong and delivered a superb performance. Reasons Grimshaw got my vote is I was surprised to see him starting and he more than proved me wrong. Along with Campbell he absolutely bossed the midfield and would love to know how much ground he covered as must be way out in front of anyone else on the park.

Bumper Year - Financials & Revenues
Well Up For It! replied to Goggles & Flippers's topic in Club Chat
Interesting attempt and guessing the ins and outs and all considered don't think you are a million miles out. Two points I'd add: The additional revenue from advertising pitch-side, in program, match/ball sponsorship, etc at Old Firm is a factor toward the £200-250k figure 'Flow mentioned a few years back. Also applies to Cup Games. When it comes to TV money, is there not a double payment when the game is on two broadcasters like Saturday? BBC and Sky had the game on so I believe that is double the usual fee? Whatever the numbers are, the point is we will be walking off at the end of the season with a balance sheet way beyond what we could have imagined at start of the season. However, the key for me is how we utilise those funds and the run of 2nd place finishes showed that we never made the most of the additional income. It's utterly refreshing to see a much more pragmatic approach to the financials at the club and the extra cash this way will be invested wisely rather than deployed on player recruitment - new scoreboard and tannoy system, money into youth development, etc which is exactly what it should be for. With the change to Europeans qualification made a few years back, we have to win to qualify for Europa League next year which could make the cup run even more rewarding financially. -
If we accept anything less than £750k from Celtic I will be wanting questions answered, as we will be bending over for that manky mob. I have no doubts that come summer - or indeed the following summer - we could get around £500k minimum for him. £200k is an absolutely insult. Coming back with £375k is even worse. Every derisory offer should add 10% to the price: £200k - we want £750k. Ok, £375k. Nope, it's now £850k. Try again.
-
For the simple fact their first offer was £200k, I would blatantly refuse to take any more of their calls. Such a low ball opening bid deserves nothing but utter contempt, negotiations over. Price to them is now by default 20-30% more than he is worth. Accept a bid from another club of £800k for him in the summer, it's £1m for Celtic. Simple. Yet another reason to hate that mob.

Fair do's. Hammell has always struck me as the one from the class of 2002 that would be best suited to coaching/management.
-
The fact he has his pro license, he came through the academy himself, has been with the club for the best part of 20years, has been involved with coaching the clubs youth teams for the past 5 years and has often been singled out by teammates and younger players for helping them. Not to mention the guy is the definition of professionalism. Plus, clearly unlike yourself, I tend to be positive about change at our club.
-
Quite sad to hear Hammell retiring. Genuinely think he doesn't get the plaudits he deserves. An absolutely stellar servant to the club during some of our most successful periods in recent times and one of my favourite players during my time. A solid pro, that has shown fantastic loyalty to our little club. Best of luck with the new gig - think its something he will really excel in.
-
He gets until the end of February for me. If we haven't pulled ourself away from any relegation threat, he can't keep his job. However, I'm still hopeful that this break and a tranafer window will allow him the time to sort it out.

Scottish Premiership Game 21: Hamilton (H) 30/12/17 15:00

A month ago I was so proud of our little team and excited for the season ahead. Now I'm utterly dejected and embarrassed. Sure Robinson done amazing getting us to cup final, but since then we have been abject, complacent and simple not good enough. Massive January transfer window ahead, and if we don't see an improvement after the break we will be left with no choice but to show Robinson the door. Our cup run is the only thing giving him a stay of execution. -

I actually said this after the opening game of the season at Fir Park against Sevco, with us constantly going down the wings and their defenders clearing every cross away with absolute ease. Said then Robinson's lack of a plan B (or adaptability if you will) would cause him bother down the line. And it's something that I have noted a few other times this season - home game against Hibs the most obvious, where we were being massively overrun in the middle. When we are fully fit, with Moult, our Plan A can be hugely effective, but when teams suss us out, we fail to evolve to a new strategy. This has been a made more obvious in the recent run where we are missing a lot of key players. Not at the calling for his head stage by any means - which is utter nonsenses for me - and also think we won't be dragged into a relegation scrap as the four teams currently below us are weaker than us over the 38 game season for me. However, definitely alarm bells sounding for sure. Despite hating the term, referred to the Killie game a "must win" a few weeks back to stop the rot and been proved right. Saturday is now absolutely vital, even season defining. It will determine in what shape we will go into the much needed break - either on 27 points and in the fight for the top 6, or 1 point above Accies and only 4 above the winner of Thistle v County this time. Lose on Saturday and it will be a long three weeks for us 'Well fans. Think we need the break more than any team in the league right now. -
If we get a replacement with a good scoring record and they can hit the ground running, then I believe that will make all the difference. Prior to all the injuries, we were a solid unit and genuinely think our recent run has a lot to do with lack of confidence in not having a Moult-type that the team can trust will take chances when they come. If folk are shipped out, or we bring another few in, so be it - but would hope the club have identified their key targets for Moult's replacement and go for them asap.

My wife and all her family are Killie fans, so these are the game I always love to get a win in for bragging rights. However, I'm not confident given our recent run. Killie, for me anyway, are a better side than Hearts and Partick with a better manager. I hate the term "must win game", but I think it can be applied here to a reasonable degree. We are much closer to bottom than we are to third place and games against Killie are the ones we should be winning if we have any ambition of a top 6 finish. Sure, the cup run was fantastic and there has been a few superb performances this year as well as a lot of encouraging work on and off the park, but starting to get a little concerned over our consistency. With Moult away in January - and likely out until then - it's another hurdle for us to overcome in replacing his goals. Not trying to be a doom merchant, I've always been a glass half full type when it comes to Motherwell, but just a few little warning signs appearing now that we need to eliminate quickly or we could find ourselves dragged down the table. I didn't expect the 4 points from the Aberdeen and Celtic double header, so that is a bonus. However, on the flip side I was looking at a minimum of 9pts from the following 6 games - and after 2 games we have zero. Need to get back to winning ways, and Robinson really needs to get the team back on track. -

Not. As I said early, this is only the first time they have been found out. -
Can't wait to hear Celtic's fans defend this one! Even ahead of their bigot brothers! Ha

Three Football Clubs 'shamed' For Underpaying Staff

Fortunately (or not for employees involved) this seems to only address this year. The club hasn't paid all it's employees minimum wage for numerous years. Going back a decade to 2008 at the very least. -

See Rodgers saying that they absolutely deserve to be in Europe post Christmas. Played 6, won 1, lost 5, conceded 18!! Aye, sure you do. More proof of absolute utter delusion from the guy calling the shots in Scottish Football. . -

Really hope we see pictures of stadium damage released now. Keep pressure up following their managers and players verbal by laying out hard facts rather than hearsay. Genuinely not convinced a single coin was thrown from our end now. All bluster and bollocks for me. Lets see their retort when undeniable proof is right in front of them of their fans bullshit. Also, as much as it will never happen, would love someone from media to focus on character assassination of Burrows. Utterly pathetic, uncalled for and probably baseless. Unprofessional and immature, time some called Brenda on it. -
