Kind of agree with this, and what Stipels said. The fact it hasn't come from the club is a bit more comforting, but the spotlight now turns on the WS cause with the complete lack of transparency this stinks of scaremongering and possibly based on their goals, not the clubs. The last few years have been great and I knew it wouldn't last forever, but this is most certainly not the comedown I expected. We are flatlining in all departments and it's a grim situation. Repeat what I have said - questions need to be answered from to bottom up at our club just now.

Why can't both things happen?? Society buy a certain percentage of Boyle's shares and this other party takes ownership and control, but still with a Well Society presence? Just an idea...and on the premise this other party is a good guy!

Not taking away the loans, and it certainly has brought positives and done a lot of good at the club. But this is still short term solutions. My concern was always the "end-game" as didn't, and still don't, believe we have the fan base to make up the numbers required for successful fan ownership, which is proving to be the case now. I also believe the full details of the agreement with Boyle wasn't made as clear as it could.

It is worrying news... I've with Kmac in that the business model for the Well Society seemed miles off the mark and I always questioned it's legitimacy and ability to work for a club like ours. As others have mentioned though, think we need to put the spotlight on the way the club is being run from top to bottom. No question, we are great at PR - that was Leanne's background, as with our current GM - but there appears to be a distinct lack of a business mind pulling strings and planning accordingly. If we are to face any sort of administration again, that for me, is unbelievably embarrassing in that we haven't learned lessons from the past (ie Rangers!) We have arguably just witnessed our most successful period in our history, and to come out the other end in this situation is extreme cause for concern. Mismanagement with youth, player sales, budgeting, bonuses and clearly exaggerated projections of incomes, including the Well Society. The thing that is really grating on me though is the total lack of transparency from the club. This letter has arrived from out of nowhere, and the whole idea of "fan ownership" is being ridiculed if issues like this are being kept from them. Would expect someone to come forward and clear things up, especially for the Well Society members, and provide information on the situation and possible options, but really doubt if that will happen.

Thats exactly what we will have next season if Rangers don't get promoted!

I remember listening to TalkSport on the commute home on Transfer Deadline day and this agent came on and it was obvious he was talking utter shite, caliming to be Welbeck, Benzema's and many more top players agent. Never clicked with me that it was this chap until I saw the article yesterday.

A General Manager who is more interested in being pals with the players/management staff than he is at doing his job?? Think it's got a hell of a lot to do with current situation. A lack of discipline in any organisations management structure leads to a laid back slackness from employees. Happy "one of us" got the job as GM, but worried he wouldn't be able to switch off from his previous role, and believe this is evident from yesterday.

On a separate not, was in PoD stand today (usually in East when I go) and really surprised to see our GM hang around the dugout like a bad smell? Whats that all about??

Just left Fir Park. First game I've been at in a while! Utter fucking shite! Ridiculously pish poor!! What the fuck has happened to us?? 3-0 down at home to Accies means serious questions need to be asked. And having to pay £20 odd for the privilege of witnessing that makes me feel proper fleeced!!

Yeah, but this time we can bring youngsters into an experienced squad instead of loan signings.

Its interesting that the three former players mentioned (Pearson, Faddy and Clarky) all cemented regular first team places before the age of 20 after it was forced upon us by administration and the young boys were thrown in to man up quick. Lasley and Hammell both made their mark around this time. Surely instead of bringing them back we should look at finding the next crop by playing the youth and give them a proper crack at the whip. If it means a poor league finish, so be it. If we give the young guys the game time then I'd take a 10th place finish right now. Doubt it will happen though. McCall's reluctance to play youth and pressure on him to deliver top 6 finish for financial reasons - even though blooding youngsters could lead to sell on fees - means its sadly a pipe dream

Think you may be right. Was just going off memory of the chat at the time.

I have to agree that it has always concerned me how "easy" we appear to be at dealing with when a team wants one of our players. When you look at the long list of talent we have lost over the past 10-15 years and the fees we got compared to your Dundee Utds, Aberdeen, Hibs, etc it is scary reading. Even Hamilton Accies, Falkirk, etc (all smaller clubs) seem to get much better deals. One that sticks in my mind is Jamie Murphy. We sold him for circa £200k and at the same time Dundee Utd were getting £3m for Goodwillie. Goodwillie couldn't get a game for Scotlands Under 21s because of Murphy, yet our board deemed he was worth 12 times less than Goodwillie?! The difference? Utd saw they were onto something, gave him a ridiculous 3year deal knowing that they were selling him within 6 months. We let Murphy's contract run down to his last 6months. Essentially, clubs know we are skint and offer below par amounts knowing we will accept it for fear of losing the player for nothing and essentially for me it boils down to misguided direction from the top. As a club, we are very good at media relations and have a very good profile within Scottish football - but we lack in the killer instinct of business. I believe this was true of Leanne Dempster too an extent, and with her leaving we have taken a further step back. As a side note, I can't believe I'm the first to mention this, but I also think we are now seeing the knock on effect of Gordon Young leaving the club. From what I've been led to believe, he was very big on discipline and fitness and probably supported McCall/Black in this area - which are maybe their weaknesses. Ultimately, we have punched well above our weight the past 6/7years and it's been a great period to be a 'Well fan and I for one have enjoyed the ride! This slump was always on the cards, and while I'm not jumping on the band-wagon of the doom and gloom merchants on here, I do think we need to get a concrete business plan in place soon, as well as getting all our departments moving in a positive direction or things could get worse over the next few years...

Great signing! Welcome back Henrik!

Nae money cause we are out of Europe

Really gut wrenching. Not being able to hold a lead (twice!!!) Against a part time team is ridiculous. All the joy of last day of the season and now we crash back down to earth!

Fixed now...

Couldn't agree more with it being poorly worded! Echo ThisGraeme's thoughts and mentioned as much - also highlighting that the act was brought in thanks to the bigot brothers and they seem to get away with a lot more (trashing stadiums, pro-IRA guff, etc, etc) while young laddies that follow lesser teams (ie us!) get man-handled by the police and stewards for simply trying to create a much needed spark of atmosphere into games!

Before last nights result would have been delighted with that draw. On our day, I'm sure we'd be more than a match for Poznan and the Estonian mob. Think we will get the result to progress next week, but I imagine both our potential next round opponents will be a massive step up in class. Funnily enough, I was in Gdansk in October 2009 and saw Lechia Gdansk play Poznan (with a certain Robert Lewandowski leading their line!) Was a dull 0-0 and remember thinking at the time that the 'Well would probably mount a title challenge in the Polish League. Poznan went on to win the title that year as well, and they are a shadow of the team these days.

Fuck sake... What's the thoughts on penalties? Not at game and BBC have hardly mentioned our game tonight!

BBC at the sheepie love in yet again. Only two posts about Motherwell are our goals when they are raving about the dominant sheep and how its an amazing game! Actually posted a tweet "has anyone stamped on the keeper yet" by some nugget!! Hope they get papped the fuck out on their arse while we go marching on!! On the 'Well, on the new Law man!!

Paul Slane is available on a free too, don't forget him...

Burke would be a magnificent signing for me. But suspect it will be Ainsworth. No interest in Pearson coming back.
