  1. No interested in McPake one bit and hope he is off to Dundee! Would however be willing to take a gamble on McGowan. No doubt he's a got baggage, but think he's a good player that could add something to our team. And as other have said, McCall seems to get the best out of troubled players.
  2. Not even a competition this year. Young Moore's debut goal against Hearts at Fir Park at start of the season! Not only the best goal this season, but one of the best I've seen at Fir Park in a long time! For sheer enjoyment, Craig Reid's obviously!
  3. It is the daily mail - what do you expect?? Only good for it's free lego promos and for drying out wet football boots!
  4. I've made the case before. The financial power in the Premiership is a bubble waiting to burst. It is completely unsustainable. Clubs are getting £62m for being relegated and paying bigger and bigger wages to bang average players. They will get greedy come renewal time and ask for more and more. And SKY, BT and the likes will have to pay it to sustain their subscription, and will pass the costs onto the punters. Eventually, people will refuse to pay £50/60 per month for sports and cancel, putting the big TV companies on the verge of implosions. They can't pay the clubs, the clubs can't pay it's bills and overnight the money tap gets turned off and clubs left right and centre plunge into administration unable to meet its massive costs. This will happen in my lifetime, I have no doubt about it. When exactly, I don't know, but the end is most definitely in sight for this insane levels of finance.
  5. @jamlang22: Woke up today with a really sore face, wonder how that could have happened.....
  6. No question about it - big Hutch was superb yesterday! One of the best displays this season that I've seen and looked fired up from the off. If it is indeed to be his last game for the club, then it's not a bad way to bow out.
  7. Literally have the biggest smile on my face and it ain't going away!! On the fucking 'Well!!! GIRFUY ya sheepie bastards!!
  8. Exactly my stance, although only seen 7 games this year.
  9. Scrap my last comment....posted before reading this!! One word...unbeliavable!!!
  10. Trumped your first comment! Utter nonsense! A first division Hibs won't be able to offer big wages!!
  11. No chance he will go to Hibs - even if they stay up! More chance of him signing a new deal with us than him joining Hibs. As said, Championship/League 1 or possibly (and I sincerely hope the fuck not) Rangers.
  12. Can only echo what has been said already. The past 6 years have been the best success in my 30 years following The 'Well and I'm amazed that every year we seem to reinvent ourselves and achieve this level of consistent success. Huge credit to the players and the managers over that period, in particular McCall, who has been all in all excellent in my eyes. I remember the highs of '91 Cup win and finishing 2nd in 94/95 and just thinking it was the best achievement I'd ever see in my lifetime. I remember the gutting feeling of the MyPa 47 game, but was confident we would be back in Europe. But then came Kampman and Davies era's and the plunge in administration, and I genuinely feared for any future success and never once during those years did I imagine we would have a run of European competition like we have. If we get second this year, it will be a wonderful achievement for our little club and no doubt will be reflected on in years to come as a period of relative glory. If not, it's still a great achievement given what we went through this summer in the squad being ripped up. My only gripe over the past 6 years in being consistently "best of the rest" is our cup runs - but I suppose we can't have it all!
  13. As a side point, looking back at that squad it baffles to think we were in a relegation battle that year. How many of the starting 11 that day would walk straight into our team just now?
  14. I'm sure there was a proposed change to financial payments after Rangers demise and it was vetoed by Celtic and Aberdeen. The same two clubs who vetoed the change of vote from 11-1, which it currently is, to 8-4.
  15. Just as a side note, surely the SFA should be looking at Brines here. Binned from UEFA last season and consistently one of the most shocking referees in Scotland. Ask any supporter of any team in Scotland's top flight to name the ref they think is worst and Brines will be an overwhelming winner. He's not biased to any one team, he's just utter garbage and should be sent packing to Sunday League. The fact we have a referee in this country that is of this standard and regularly makes shocking decisions time and time again, yet is not reprimanded in the slightest, is an absolute embarrassment to our game. The guy makes Collum look like Collina!
  16. We have to be taking a minimum of 5 or 6 points from these games to secure third. Anything below that, we are possible looking at 4th, anything above that we are looking at 2nd. Would love it to go to the last day against the sheep with winner getting 2nd. As others have mentioned, think the priority is no getting beat at Tannadice. If we do, our fight for 2nd becomes a fight for 3rd.
  17. Absolutely shocking result. Being 2-0 up against the team 2nd bottom and throwing it away is most definitely not acceptable for a team chasing second. I believe today's result rules out 2nd for us...and if we don't fix it soon, we will be in a battle for 3rd!
  18. Surely they could give bottom 6 a handout based on what finishing 12 would get you by that logic?
  19. For me, if we have any ambition of finishing 2nd we need all three points tomorrow! And to be honest, we really should be beating them with the quality in our squad. I'll go for 2-0, with Sutton and Vigurs to get the goals.
  20. They have all been very good and has added to the way the club communicates through it's social media. I think it would be a great idea to make them available as prints to buy in the shop. It would also be a nice thing for the young ones to get signed - maybe the club could even give away a signed copy of each print in some competition?
  21. Whether the documents are fake or not is up for debate. However, the fact Campbell Ogilvie is still in his position after all the shambles of the past few years at Rangers - a club he was director of during times in question - shouldn't be up for debate at all!! He shouldn't even have been given the right to walk away quietly, he should have been fired out on his arse! Corruption at the top echelons of our game has always been an issue, with individual agendas dominating over a balance of fairness. For me, these articles being true or not, doesn't change the fact that we need major revolution in the corridors of power in Scottish football. The fact Regan, Doncaster, Ogilvie, etc have breezed through this whole debacle with almost zero scrutiny from the media or from the board baffles me. Fans must put pressure on their respective boards to act and question this whole process and push for clarity and transparency. And as Diggle says - the 11-1 system must be abolished as a matter of urgency!
  22. It's all well and good saying "play the young boys" and I for one would like to see them given more of a chance! But, I'm afraid a club like ours must finish as high up the table as possible to make ends meet and that puts pressure on the manager to get results or risk losing a whole team due to lack of funds. Blooding youngsters is a luxury that we just don't have at this moment, and McCall persists with the experienced players to ensure we get as high a finish as possible.
  23. Far too many to mention, but my biggest hatred in recent years is Ian Black!
  24. Agree with that. Although the one thing that has always surprised me is that somewhat lack of hype for Mackay-Steven - think on his game he is one of the best United have had in a long long time. Also, do think that treated the right way, Gauld looks like he could be a world beater and probably deserving of some of the hype (although it's still a little OTT)
  25. More reasons to be optimistic than normal for a trip to Parkhead given our great run, but just don't see it. A draw would be excellent. As long as we don't get a hiding, I'll not be too disheartened. A real hammering could result in the heads going down and we need to keep our momentum going - most important thing for me. Hopefully we make it a real tough game. 2-1 Celtic I think.
