Scottish Premiership Game 14: Celtic (H) 29/11/17 19:45

What he said. Just pointing out yet another example of the standard of piss poor journalism our club is exposed to. -
Well for starters Robinson has already out performed Levein by getting to a national cup final. He also isn't an utter self righteous prick. I'd say we are doing all right for creating quite a few chances under his management. Ridiculous comparison and ridiculous post.

A statement like that would have been superb...and would have 100% brought the SFA out their woodwork to charge Robbo proving his very point. -

See this is exactly the reason why I am disappointed - the matter of wether it was a penalty or not is kinda irrelevant (it wasn't, it was as blatant a dive as you get). This issue is, for me, by the letter of the laws of the game, as per this season, if there is contact of any kind for this incident it is a penalty and a YELLOW card. The issue is the SFA's "top referee" clearly doesn't know this rule and us appealing embarrasses the SFA into admitting as much. This appeal process should be a 2minute conversation, followed by an apology and Craig Thomson being demoted to the juniors for not knowing the up to date laws of the game. Club not appealing is saying we are OK with this level of utter incompetence and I think will actual be to our detriment when we come to appeal another decision down the road, that will never be as clear cut as this. -
Thomson has been handed Partick vs Hibs on Saturday. Very best of luck to both teams with that clown in charge. Hopefully by then someone will have explained the new triple punishment rule put into place for 2017/18 season by FIFA.

They did. FAI received $5m dollars from FIFA. They threatened to take FIFA to Court of Arbitration to Sport. FIFA even offered to make them the 33rd team at World Cup. Part of me wishes the FAI did push FIFA to court, would have made governing bodies accountable for injustices by their employees - like almost every other business out there.

While I would agree with that sentiment normally, we are talking about the SFA here. An organisation that probably can't even spell integrity. Robinson has had a thinly veiled swipe. Watch this space. -

While not making up for cup defeat, to be the team that ends their streak would be a nice pick me up. Celtic aren't playing particularly well by their standards and think if we get in their faces from the off then we can contain them. All the utter shite spouted from their fans and management - as always, the worst and most bitter winners in the land - will serve as all the motivation we need. So my heart says a scrappy 2-1 win to 'Well, with Kipre scoring a 93rd minute winner by clearly fouling Craig Gordon and getting away with it. Also, if Hartley were to kick Sinclair 10ft in the air in the first 5mins I would really enjoy that. Even if he gets sent off. Head actually says this will be a 1-1 draw, Moult scoring. -

I get Robinson's logic in regards to Kipre, but not appealing because we have a poor record of winning appeals with good evidence doesn't. If Kipre is deemed to have fouled Sinclair, the red card becomes a yellow. When Sinclair is deemed to have dived and cheated, red card rescinded, spotlight on Sinclair & Thompson. Justice done. As a side note, wonder how the SFA will react to being called out by Robinson here? -

To be honest, as a fan run club and given the general feeling about the incident amongst the fans I will be expecting a statement explaining exactly why we are not appealing a cut and dry case. -

Point taken - forgot he got booked for it. Still does not change my opinion one bit. We don't appeal, we accept that cheating and ineptitude is fine by us. -

Sorry, but not appealing the red card is shocking. It vindicates the Celtic fans in it was a penalty. Worst still, the SFA/SPFL not citing Sinclair for a blatant dive is utterly embarrassing - baw is burst. Craig Thompson is not a cheat - Sinclair is the cheat here. He is more a incompetent clown, and has been for years and years. He has to be the centre of attention and when he was announced as final ref we all called it - again overlooking the fact that he got demoted for a howler in the last game he refereed of ours and should never have been given the final. As a small club, we have to manage and control what we can. By not appealing we are lying down and accepting it. Surely if we appeal and it is overturned - which is 100% will be as per the laws of football which our "top referee" clearly doesn't know - it may also force the spotlight onto Sinclair, and Thompson will likely get sent back down the leagues again where I'm not sure he even belongs. Juniors maybe. Doesn't change the result one bit, but vindicates that the great "invicibles" needed to cheat to beat our diddy little team. As for the appeal leading to review of earlier tackle, fine by me. Kipre is still banned - but so will Dembele be as his challenge on McHugh had intent - violent conduct for Dembele is a 3 game ban, reckless conduct by Kipre is 2 game ban. That is the laws of the game. Ultimately, spotlight will be back on Sinclair and Thompson where is belongs. Club simple HAS to appeal. -

I wish they had the Anderlecht game after the Cup Final more than the midweek PSG game...that is must win and would definitely have more of an impact on the final than PSG game. Really appreciating the more positive chat coming from the manager and players and really looking forward to the final. I'm confident we will at least make a game of it this time, and fingers crossed we can pull off an upset. Going very much with "hope" over "belief", but there is no reason we can't pull of a shock. Bringing their impressive unbeaten run to an end and winning the cup in the process...does it get much better than that?! Moan the 'Well! -

We can now officially drop the O'Donnell Final tagline, as it's now the Craig Thompson Final. That incompetent clown always has to make it about him. Odds on red card and penalty in the game slashed with one appointment. -

Have DM'd you details. Scratch that, can't send you a message direct as you are just a new member. Don't want to post phone numbers, etc here but there is enough places left to accommodate three of you. Don't know if an admin can assist so I can pass on details?

Reminder there is still a few seats on a coach leaving from Shotts at 1pm for anyone that is looking for transport. If bus is filled think it will be £5/head - maximum of £7. I'm not running it but can put you in touch with organiser.

See from Twitter they are sticking very firmly to their 5 tickets maximum rule. -
This 100%. While I'm not against the idea of a share issue and get motivation for it, don't think it's been thought out properly.

There was also issues at Parkhead on the day where friends and extended members of the O'Donnell family who had been invited were intially turned away at the door to the hospitality suites. However, the inclusion of Larsson and co was fine with me as it raised the profile of the game and generated a lot more funds for the charity in Phil's name. It raised more than we could have as a club on our own. I do believe Motherwell as a smaller family club are always in a position to handle such matters better than a club the size of Celtic.

There is a 49 seater bus booked for the Cup Final. It will be leaving from the Brandy and Station Hotel at 1pm and returning after the game. If the bus is full will work out about £4.50/head and maximum price will be £7/head - to be nailed down as the organisers are talking about kids going free. Places are filling up, so if you are interested, drop me a PM and will pass on the details.
