Totally agree we never got going in the second half and the subs were a joke ,althogh we lost a poor goal I thoght it was Craggs best game of the season .Why McCall
kept halp pace Hately and Higdon on beggars belief .I don't remember us having a striker that only wants to lay the ball off and not have a go at goal .I think if big Randy
gets injured Hately will be in goals ,he's been tried about every where else, and please can we have anyone else taking charge of dead ball situations .
I thought Jamie just shaded it because of his work rate ,is it possible to have a column
for the worst player,,,, John Sutton at a canter (no maybe that would be too fast)was
rank and should be dropped
I think you.re right he did try to slow it down unfotunately everyone else was trying to speed things up the result being he was caught twice wilth the ball in the middle of the park once created danger for us the second resulted in them scoring . Like yourself I have been a long time admirer of Las but he could not get to grips with the pace of the game .
Taking Forbes off(unless injured ) has proven costly for us two weeks in a row ,we miss his passing ability and his ability to hold the ball in that area it was obvious this also caused Hammell's game to go out the window as he always knows where Forbes is but when Las was brought on Hammell was reluctant(wisely)to go beyond him .
I was at the game as usual please tell me if you were there how many time he beat a man and got a cross in don't think too hard it was once in each half ,he huffs and puffs and acieves nothing ....let him go now .
Well first game under the new management team and if we hadn't lost that pathetic goal no one wuld be complaining .Having said that he obviously spotted that Lasley can only pass back O'brien hides then when he gets a ball from the youngsters he gives them a bollocking .Sutton will never be a target man (maybe never a striker)no effort no skill no good .I feel certain the manager will also be looking for a big central defender and a goalkeeper (where have we heard this before)
However there were bright spots from some of the younger players ,I would in the next leg play the under 19 team as none of the senior players looked too interested .
I 'm quite amazed that anyone would pick Jim O'Brien yes he scored a goal but then proceeded to spend the rest of the game hiding .I do not remember a time after that that he took on a man and beat him after that ,even when Aberdeen brought on Aluko (their biggest threat)he immediately switched wings .In the early part of the game when Quinn had the ball O'Brien went inside giving him no outball ,I'm afraid he is just like McGarry a 45 minute man .
