Bannigan signs a 2-year deal.......with Partick Thistle
-
Hes the one out-of-contract player that I was desperate for us to re-sign, on his game he is the difference between us being pure shite and average. Be gutted to see him leave, especially if its to join that fanny Lennon
-
No, it just shows how shite that boy was
-
We really are fucked if Queen of the South are taking our promising players off us
-
I was also told that the wage cuts are more than the 30% that we've been talking about on here
-
Hammell being offered to all and sundry in the SPL apparently. Thistle have definitely knocked his agent back
-
Apart from when he scored one of the best OGs you're ever likely to see at Fir Park? I honestly thought the boy was murder
-
We have the same scenario, every single year.

I noticed at the Celtic game before the end of the season, one of the groundsmen having a bit of a ding-dong with a group of their players and John Collins about 10mins before kick-off. He was trying to work on the goalmouth at the South Stand while they were firing shots into the goal...it looked like he asked them to move, but they kept firing shots in and actually looked like they were aiming for him. Wonder if thats the type of shite that he is talking about

Taking players abroad for the sake of it is a load of shite anyway (other than being able to keep an eye on them 24/7 for 4 or 5 days). They've had a longer spell off than they usually get, so hopefully they've all re-charged their batteries, had a holiday or two and are now readying themselves for some hard work during pre-season in the Scottish climate, whatever that may throw at them.

pretty face, horribly hairy arm
-
Jamie Murphy was vastly undervalued by everyone during his time at Fir Park...supporters included
-
"At fault for two Dundee Utd goals" "did we not have a sub keeper" some amount of shite is spouted on messageboards, but this one quote from you is a legendary amount of shite

I'm comfortable with the fact that I can readily admit that I 'hate' both of they Clubs -
I'm not a fan of testimonials in general, though they have their place in terms of players that have suffered career ending injuries. Ally Maxwell is a legendary name in our history though based on his performance in the Cup Final alone and we really should have dedicated a lounge or box, or something in his honour.

I've had a 4 great years without Rangers in the league, the overall hilarity has been immense, being a proddy at a proddy school surrounded by h**s right through their 9 in a row years, it's been bliss getting my own back on mates who tormented me because of how shite my team was....the one down side is how it plays right into the stigs hands. Absolutely hate them both equally -
I'd take Nicky Clark but not Templeton...as for Law, he made a total cunt of it if you ask me. OK, he'll have a healthy wedge in his account, but he could have got similar money playing against decent competition down South. He took the easy option. Would I have him back? If he could recapture the form he had during his 1st spell, he would be an undoubted asset

I speak to a Premier League manager fairly regularly, and he almost pissed himself laughing when he heard we had signed Chalmers. Highly rated as a kid maybe, but his spell at Falkirk by all accounts was shite
-
My papa reckoned Charlie Aitken was the best player to ever play for Motherwell and he had been watching them since the early 1930s
-
deleterious...an extremely fancy word for 'it would fuck it'
-
you've more or less said what I said, except you have used far more words. Currently we need to play both of those players when available, but they need replaced as their performances are on the slide.

Loan signings from Celtic make me want to spew up

I managed to forget that we were playing Celtic on Sunday and only realised when I got a text message from a 'friend' trying to wind me up as we went 3-0 down. The reason I forgot is because, as well as it being an utterly meaningless game, the writing was on the wall. I havent seen any footage of the Ross County game but having sat through the utter turd that was served up at Fir Park v St Johnstone it was as clear as day that the players had chucked it. Mark McGhee is taking a power of abuse for yesterdays debacle on Social media from folk that 'never even wanted the prick back in the 1st place', and while its his job to motivate players and select a team to compete, the buck lands with the PROFESSIONAL players that are earning relatively good salaries to perform on behalf of the Club. You can say what you like about his selections, yes its strange to see Johnson at Left-back, playing Watt against Celtic when he hasnt kicked a ball for a while is debateable, throwing Gomis in when he wont be our player next season and has proved himself to be utterly cack so far etc etc. You can even say we should have flooded the midfield or had an extra defender, rather than have so many attack minded players in the team and that would be fair comment...BUT...I'd expect Mark McGhee to be able to pick any 11 of his squad of professional football players to play against Celtic and have that wee bit of pride and professionalism that would see us being able to compete rather than capitulate. In short, and I've said this before, there is an element of players at Fir Park that are a disgrace. This group of players, seem to be able to turn it on when it suits them...essentially the same group of players that rolled over week, after week under Barraclough and so dramatically managed to turn it around under McGhee. As for the ongoing man-love with Keith Lasley and less-so with Steven Hammell, you would have to be a blind man not to see that they are both struggling now at this level. Some of you have backed it up with stats to try and convince others that Lasley will indeed live (and play for Motherwell) forever. The fact that we missed these players yesterday says more about our signing policy and our back-up men than it does for our veteran 'stars'. Over the piece, 5th in the league is a remarkable (yes remarkable, not good or great) achievement considering where we were and how we were playing at the start of the managers time at the Club, and while Mcghee has made some sound decisions, part of me wonders if the turnaround is more to do with the application of our players post-Baraclough than anything McGhee has done.
