First and foremost, I've got to say that I'd love to see Aberdeen (or absolutely anybody else) win the league over either of the Glasgow bigots... BUT...yesterday was absolutely fucking brilliant. From walking to Fir Park from the town centre with my two boys (none of us wearing colours), listening to random groups of Aberdeen fans singing, and telling each other in loud teuchter accents, 'it'll be 3,4,5-0 Aberdeen', 'Motherwell are shite', 'easy 3 points' etc etc. None of them seemed to realise that Aberdeen actually aren't very good, they have been more consistent than most this season, but in general they're really not anything to be lauded. I had a wee sneaky feeling that we'd ruin their day...it had the feeling of a smaller scale Skippy Sunday. I also think McGhees psychological game plan worked a treat...from our 'flu epidemic', all we really lost was Ben Hall and I reckon more was made of it by McGhee to try and unsettle the Dons. On the game itself, I thought we got our game plan spot on. Aberdeen dominated possession but we looked dangerous on the break. The penalty was a stonewalled, and was a kick in the peas to be 1-0 down at half time. The front three for Motherwell came into their own though in the second half, to me it looked like it was only a matter of time before we scored...to score twice was fantastic, and in all honesty it could've been more. Delighted for everybody at the Club, and now that we are more or less secure got next season, I hope McGhee can continue his good work into a full pre-season. On Aberdeen...any team that gets beat off a side with Morgaro Gomis and Jack Leitch in central midfield shouldn't be anywhere near trophies. Surprised by the Dons fans too, firstly I thought there would have been more of them considering the size of the Club and what was at stake, and secondly at how quiet they were. Poor show in my opinion. Last word on Barry Robson...fucking hell, 46 seconds on the park, superb stuff.

I'll say it again...after another season that has been momentously shite, I'm more than happy to finish in the Top10. The only results I'm keeping my eye on are those of United, Accies, and Killie. Re-group in the Summer, get some of the out-of-contract, highly-paid underachievers hunted and build from there.

Surely there were as many yellow jackets in attendance at the play-off game last year as there were on duty at Skippy Sunday? Meaning that it would have been possible to form that 'ring of steel' again...

I'd have potentially brought on a couple of players to break up the play in the latter stages, but given our previous recent record of making game-changing subs, I'm not surprised that he kept it the same considering the pressure we were under wasn't huge

I walked out at the goal...I can understand why the manager sat down in his dugout, what the fuck do you suggest that he does at that precise moment? McGhee never lost Scobbie for the goal...one of our players did.

The game was pure shite...I didn't think there was much between the two teams, similar to much of what I have witnessed this season to be fair. Losing another late goal though is a disgrace, whether Scobbie should have been sent off or not

I've known Alan since we were teenagers on the Bellshill supporters bus and can confirm that he is indeed 'Motherwell through and through'. Haven't seen or spoken to him in years, and can't comment on what his remit is....which I think is the problem. Everyone assumed that he had taken on Dempsters job and that's why he may come in for criticism from time to time

I had a few reasons for not wanting him back, but this was the main one. As soon as he was appointed, there were folk saying they wouldnt be back until he was gone...people who dont have the courage of their convictions as I've since seen them at games, but their opinion on the manager wont have changed. Everything right now is Mark McGhees fault in their eyes and the players who are failing again are getting off Scot-free. Do you think Simo Valakari, having won the Manager of the Month award, would be taking the abuse that McGhee currently is after the last months displays? Not a fucking chance, and the zoomers that are screaming blue murder are doing far more harm than good. The man will never be accepted and thats why he was the wrong choice. I dont think there is a cat in hells chance of him being sacked between now and the Summer, so the fans that are currently berating him should really work out their priorities. Whats more important, spewing 90minutes worth of vitriol towards our dugout while we slide towards relegation or sucking it up and accepting the manager is going to be here for the next few months and getting behind the team as much as possible??

Agree 100% with Busta....there is absolutely no point in naming names here, because I think it's fair to say that over the past month no player has played consistently well. At yesterday's match I was cringing for some of the imbeciles around me screaming for the manager to fuck off after 5 minutes. There is a general malaise around the squad at fir park and that predates the appointment of McGhee by at least a couple of years. The manager can only utilise the tools at his disposal. We are 2nd bottom with virtually the same group of players that almost got us relegated last season. Some of McGhees tactics and selections have been suspect, however the players and the board are bigger culprits in our demise than he is, in my opinion.

These same players are now failing under their 3rd consecutive manager...but aye, 'get tae fuck McGhee'

The vast majority of the players involved today need to take a long hard look at themselves, as do a lot of the fuckwits in the East Stand berating the manager when the players misplaced a pass or failed to control the ball. The fans wanted two up front, and they got that in the 2nd half...We subsequently capitulated. Disgraceful performance

So, are you saying we didnt try and sign anyone then or had no intention of adding to the squad further? A blind man could see that our squad size was ridiculously bloated, and ridiculously bloated full of utter turd. If the strategy was 'lets get rid of the shite, and work with the players left' then fair-do's, but if the manager thought we needed replacements in and it never happened then its a different story.
