I'll not be getting worried until we are 5 or 6 matches of the season and getting similar results. Friendlies are all about tinkering and trying different ideas...hopefully Baraclough learns from any mistakes made today

Doing cosy wee deals with that fucking horrible, rotten mob? No thanks. Sillyname Sheridan was the last fucker we took on loan from them and I just couldnt take to him knowing that he was really a celtic player in a motherwell jersey. Seemingly had a great season for RC last year but I only really remember him playing for killie and having an utter disaster against us a few seasons ago
-
He'd be better leaving because he isnt good enough for our level
-
A fella in my work is up for domestic shortly and he is adament that he didnt even as much as shout at his Mrs. I have no idea the extent of Reids misdemeanours but lets wait and see rather than hang him out to dry on the basis of heresay. Thats obviously foregoing the fact that he isnt very good it fitba

We'll be bottom half, potential relegation candidates if we dont get a Real goalkeeper, another centre half and a central midfielder that can replace Lasley. Even then, I reckon we are running very thinly in certain positions such as out wide and striker.

Its benito kemble

Both absolute belters...if I wasnt an adult, I'd be asking my da' to buy me them

It all really depends on how good these new signings from the lower leagues in England actually are. Johnston has been a huge success, so hopefully they are of similar quality, however they could be on Strakers wavelength for all any of us know. My gut feeling is that they will be similar to Josh Law in terms of quality, decent, not world beaters, probably dependable but at the same time a mistake being just round the corner. We'll see... As others have said though, a quality goalkeeper and a re-inforcement or 2 in both the middle of midfield and defence has to be our next priority. I'll take finishing a comfortable 8th or 9th right now, and a season with none of the drama that we had to endure towards the tail end of the season, no matter how enjoyable it ultimately became.

So far we've signed a Celtic youth player, a striker fae York, and a striker released by Dundee. We are also in talks to sign a striker fae Wrexham. Hardly ground breaking stuff but for some reason, Im happy with it all and feeling really positive...am I being taken in by the spin?

Going to be an action packed week by all accounts
-
Happy enough with Clarkson re-signing, as long as we get another 2 strikers in as well
-
He scores most of his goals from distance, absolutely no justification to play him anywhere else other than right wing. Happy with him signing a 2 year deal
-
'Kris Boyd' and 'mobile' in the one sentence? Come on tae fuck, John Sutton is more mobile than that fat bastard....

Can't agree with you there Johnstone, he is mediocre at best. Looking decent in last seasons team, doesnt make him any good I'm afraid.

Season Tickets 2015/16 *** Topics Merged ***
ONeils40yarder replied to Toxteth O'Grady's topic in Club Chat
Season books bought at the weekend. I hope we're going to get more entertainment than we did last season. I also hope we are knowhere near those fucking play-offs -
The very fact that he has admitted that he downed tools last season (the video that weeyin references), is enough for me to say absolutely no way would I have him back. A crack at making the Top6, is about par for the course for a Motherwell manager, and him saying that he struggled to remain motivated says everything that we need to know, or some of us knew already. He gave us some great memories over the three years or so that he was with us, but in the last 12-18 months, the football on show was ridiculously poor at times...the basic lack of preparation last pre-season, is the root cause of our Club almost being relegated, no pre-season friendlies, no left-midfield, not replacing Hutchison, the lazy signings of Wee Dan and Josh Law, no adequate back up at left-back, but umpteen shite right backs, his reluctance to play Erwin and Thomas...and who could forget the tactical masterstroke of shoving Fraser Kerr on at right-wing for the last 10minutes just about every week? its strange to say it, given his overall record as Motherwell manager looks outstanding, but I dont actually think he is a good football manager. The fact that we kept the vile h*n down with him in charge of them, made it all the sweeter, as he was responsible for us being there in the 1st place.

Anybody know if the team will be doing pre-season training at Dalziel Park?
-
We dont kick-off until August the 6th, there is plenty of time to get bodies in. Calm the beans... As for the Super Scout that has just left...is this the same fella that gave us the worst player I have ever seen in a Motherwell jersey, in Shakey Strakey and the other boy that was with us for a few weeks, and whose main contribution was falling over his own feet in his solitary appearance?
-
Sutton away? Thank the Lord
-
Lee Erwin is going to be a smashing player...dont think he will ever be a 20 goals a season man but his footballing brain, his hold up play and his movement is excellent. Some folk wouldnt know a good player fae an Andy Roddie. Best of Luck to the boy

Talking points is what fitba is all about for me and the 2 matches were full of them...on and off the pitch The TV company must have been delighted as it should have made for great TV entertainment
-
Whats wrong with the above kit.. looks fucking tremendous to me
-
Almost impossible to pick one player from the starting XI, I'd go for Hammell though purely because he isn't Straker
-
We have seen some utterly inept performances under Baraclough over the past 6months...fair play though, he has kept us up and gave us 2 amazing performances.
-
Agreed...500k is better than fuck all
