I think a lot of people are underestimating Lee Erwins abilities...as far as I'm concerned its a boot in the Stuart McCalls to be losing a striker who can drag defenders all over the place for £500k. Good luck to the lad though, I hope it works out for him. p.s. I have it on extremely good authority that a number of players from our squad have been offered to Partick Thistle (by their agents)...Sutton and Twardzik amongst them, though it's doubtful they're going to sign any of them. This pre-season is going to see a huge turnover in our playing squad by the looks of things

Plumped for Erwin...thought he ran himself into the ground and the two haddies at the back for Rangers couldnt handle his movement.... But could just as easily gone for Pearson, Skippy, Ainsworth, Mcmanus or Long....fucking tremendous buzz

The Rangers V Motherwell Spfl Playoff Final 28/05/15

The Club could easily have sold to season ticket holders 1st...really not sure why they didnt do this to be honest. Not that it matters a fuck to me...I was one of the lucky ones who got a ticket. Impressed by the Club only giving these horrible fuckers 1500tickets though and their apparent determination to ensure as little infiltration of our end as possible -
A season of 2 managers.... One who failed to prepare us for this season...no pre-season friendlies, lazy signings (Wee Dan and Nickys brother spring to mind), a disjointed and lop-side squad (no real back up for Hammell, no real left-midfielder, 2 year deals handed out to veteran midfielders, no replacement for Hutch). McCall started this mess.... ....Baraclough took it to new lows. I genuinely think that he totally underestimated the level of football that he was coming into...some of his signings would certainly suggest that. Also, his insistence on sticking by a 442 has cost us umpteen points

Get fucked into them Motherwell

Agreed Superward, how much will a squad with so many players leaving next week actually give a fuck? Seems very unprofessional...but still, I can understand why the players are doing it.

Hence the possibility that the weans wont be there...not wanting them seeing me behaving like an arsehole

Hoping to get a ticket for the away leg and will definitely be at the home leg, but considering leaving the kids at home for the match at Fir Park. There will be h**s around about us in the home end for definite

Baraclough is known to have used motivational speakers since his arrival at Fir Park, so a psychologist might be the next step in his mind. To my mind though, we play far too open away from home...thinking about the Accies game at NDP a couple of months ago, an ageing Lasley and Pearson were our midfield 2, against 3 Hamilton youngsters and hardly got a kick, if it were me I'd have played Grant in beside them. For me, its horses for courses and that is my biggest gripe with Baraclough, that he sticks far too rigidly to his 4-4-2 and the players that he plays in it. If he goes to Ibrox or ER with anything other than 3-men in the middle we'll get picked off at some point. If we are to have any chance of winning the play-off we have to come away from the 1st leg at least even.

Was speaking to a guy yesterday who is involved full-time in Scottish Football at a fairly high level... His opinion on Sutton...he'll score goals in a team doing well, creating plenty of chances in and around the penalty box...if that team is toiling then Sutton would be as well sitting in the stand let alone being on the bench, as he can't create anything himself. He also reckoned that Motherwell were gearing up to have a mass clear-out of players in the Summer regardless of what league we ended up being in, with Sutton almost certain to leave.

We've actually finished the season in a worse place than McCall left us...but lets give Baraclough another season (in the 2nd tier) to try and right his wrongs. David, if it were just purely players-based mistakes that the manager had made, then I might be more inclined to agree with you. His lack of tactical nous, consistently playing players out of position and his inability to change a team midway through a match tell me that he doesnt really know what he is doing. I'm a relatively newcomer to the Baraclough Out camp, as I felt he had to have a bit of time to turn things around but if we get relegated for the 1st time in 30years then any Motherwell managers position would be untenable

If its Hibs (and I'm not as certain as Al B), then its pretty simple, they gave us their big stand behind the goals, and we give them our big stand behind the goals...Rangers are the ones who will make it difficult. Even if we do play hardball, and give them a shite allocation in retaliation to our shite one, you just know that the dirty glory-hunting h*n, bastards from all over will end up in our end.

McDonald was minging on Saturday and hasnt lived up to the ratings the media have been giving him as far as I'm concerned, however its my understanding that he'll be available for the match at Fir Park in the 2nd leg. Who knows, his sending off may be a blessing in disguise, as it may force the manager into altering his tactics in the away leg. I have been advocating a 3-man central-midfield for certain away games for a while now, to try and make us more difficult to beat.
-
If we go down, he has to go, its as simple as that. McCall started this demise, through his utter ambivalence towards any sort of preparation for the season, along with his inability to clear out even the most obvious of deadwood in the squad and his lack of foresight in the transfer market. Baraclough, though has had plenty of time, oodles of cash and umpteen opportunities to drag our arses away from the drop zone and so far he has failed to do it. This season we have had two managers who have failed the Club and its supporters and I dont see anyway that Baraclough can stay on if McCall manages to finish the job that he started.

The folk wanting wholesale changes would be as well getting over their disappointment just now...at the most you'll see one or two players dropped/rested/held back for the play-off, but there is absolutely no way that he'll make a host of changes at this stage in the season and rightly so.
-
Rangers are pish, Hibs are inconsistent. If we can come away from Ibrox or Easter Road with a draw, we'll beat either at Fir Park.

I know Straker is bogging but I dont think sticking Twardzik in at left-back is the answer
