Fuck sake...the one game I've arranged to miss and it goes and gets itself cancelled. Nae luck, me

I think he must have had his maws stilettos on when they were measuring him

I can vividly remember how bad Stevie Woods was, believe me. But that doesnt say much for Wee Dan

We'd need to employ an extra physio

Alan Burrows is now in a position of real responsibility at the Club, and for the past 5 or 6 months he has virtually been the figurehead of the non-playing side of things at Fir Park. Ever since Dempster left for Hivs, he has been the face of the Club, the guy the media has spoken to and the guy that the fans recognise (show me a picture of Derek Weir, and I wouldnt know who he was). Now, whether we like it or not, we are in a shite state on the park and are (by all accounts) in an even worse nick off it, although hopefully things look a wee bit brighter with The Society and Hutchison doing a deal with Boyle. Alan was offered a job, that most of us, would have jumped at the chance of doing, but in doing so he put his head above the parapet and into the firing line. I'm not criticising him for anything that has gone on at Fir Park over the past year or so, but I can understand the frustrations of many and why he has become a target for some verbals

I dont have a problem with Wee Dans shot-stopping capabilities...most goalkeepers are good at this...its his lack of presence and inability to come and take the heat off the defence by taking everything in and around his 6-yard box that marks him out as a below-average keeper to me. There is more to being a goalkeeper than saving shots.
-
Woods was shite, but not Twardzik/Neilsen level of shite
-
You'd have to be a special type of Happy Clapper not to realise that our goalkepping situation at Fir Park is as bad as it has been in umpteen years.

I reckon we'll need to shift players to bring others in...for example, there is no way we'll sign another keeper unless we lose 1 of the haddies we have...Gunnar loooks like the best bet to leave, and then stick wee dan on the bench and get someone else in. The fact that we've re-signed O'brien, leads me to think that Barraclough doesnt blame thecentre of defence for our capitulations. We have a multitude of options at righ-back and in the middle, he just has to pick the right formula. Left-back though is critical for me, with Hammell being out for so long we have played virtually the whole season so far without a left-back worthy of the name. If we only bring in one additional player, this is the position I'd like to see sorted out as a priority. In saying that though, if we had the funds to bring in 4 new players over and above what we have? A goalkeeper with two hands and the stature that would restrict him from getting a job in a circus midget troop A left-back to act as back-up to Hammell, and as a successor A centre-mid, not made of chocolate, not 35, not a lazy prima dona, but with an eye for a pass forward and a decent engine A centre-forward who can jump, maintain his balance and move his legs quicker than he moves his arms

Ferguson is a right back who McCall hung out to dry at left-back. We have too many right-backs on the books, if we managed to rid ourselves of Kerr, Reid, Ramsden, Law, then Wilson might be an option, but until that time comes its an absolute no-go, considering that we have no left-backs, 2 atrocious goalkeepers, no flair, no midfield and a lump of wood up front. I'd imagine Ian Barraclough has more to worry about than giving himself another right-back that he'll be forced to play out of position.
-
Surely to God we dont need another right back on our books, honest tae fuck, we have plenty other positions where we dont have 5 players vying for that one jersey. The question was...Is Mark wilson worth a punt? The answer is ...naw he fucking isnae. Next....

I'm as happy as Larry

Im hoping like fuck that the Bonnyrigg v Bellshill game in the Scottish Junior Cup gets the go ahead on Saturday so I can steer clear of this one. Anybody wanting a seat on the bus give me a shout.

Thomas looked bright on the highlights package, for those that were there, how was he defensively as that was apparently why he wasnt played at all up until now?
-
Its a bad day when the only justification for a player being near the 1st team is because he is left-footed. The very fact that we dont have a left-sided midfielder in the squad is a sad indictment on McCall. ZFA may have a left-foot but thats about the only thing I can think of that he has in his favour.
-
Jesus Christ...just watched the highlights. The 1st goal was incredibly unfortunate, but goals 2,3 and 4 were fucking horrific. To save embarrassment we'd have been better just booting the baw into the net 3times for Dundee. The centre-backs were a disgrace at the 2nd, Wee Dan the midget goalie made a Harry Hunt of the 3rd and for the 4th I genuinely laughed out loud when I seen it, between O'Brien and Wee Dan the midget goalie they have managed to create one of the best bloopers you'll see this season...boys Club level stuff. Ojamma was daft to throw his arm back, but I think Thomson has played for it.

Lawson got too close to the radiator and melted

Go on...

How anyone can blame Ian Barraclough for our current predicament is beyond me. I'm not convinced that he was the man for the job in the 1st place but our season has been a fucking abomination since before it kicked off. Stuart McCalls record as our Manager was exceptional but his legacy is not so much being eroded but being annihilated by the bag of shite that he has left his successor to deal with. We never played 1 single pre-season friendly...shocking preparations. We lost John Porteous...lo and behold our injury list has never been bigger We lost Leeann Dempster...no matter what you think of her, we have never adequately replaced her. We appointed Flow as our GM...I've know the guy for years, and he done a great job as the media man, but I didn't see the logic in that one On the playing side... We have the worst goalkeeping 'team' in years...I've been a huge critic of Wee Dan since his loan spell, and I'm of the belief that you couldn't mould him and and Neilsen together and come up with a competent Premier a League level keeper...it's believed Marshall had a say in both signings, which says it all about him. We've played virtually the whole season without a left back...Hammell is invaluable to us, and the imposter who has played there most...ZFA...isn't fit to lace his boots. At right back, we've had Kerr, Reid, Law, Ramsden and Ferguson all fill in there at certain stages without any of them really making the position their own. There has been much discussion on the centre back pairing and McManus in particular, we have never replaced Hutchison, and his worth to the team has been proven this year. But, the biggest problem our centre-halves have is their lack of protection from the full-backs and their obvious concern with our midget goalie. Our midfield has been decimated by injury, but a few things would still occur even if everyone was fit. Lasley should never have received a 2year deal...his legs are gone, but he is currently playing as a 1man midfield. He doesn't have a regular partner...Vigurs can't play in a 2 man midfield, Lawson is made of chocolate, Carswell and Leitch aren't ready and might never be, Reid is playing way above his level. Ainsworth (like Vigurs), is just 1 lazy bastard of a guy. Up front...Woody Harrelson, I genuinely can't take much more of watching this lead-laden lump allow the ball to batter off his chest, run as though he is 65, attempt to jump, spend half the game on his arse anymore. He is awful, just awful. Our squad is full of players who should be seeking new Clubs at the end of this season...Neilsen, Twardzik, Reid, ZFA, Law, Kerr, Vigurs, Lawson, Sutton, Ainsworth, McHugh...my only hope is that the gaffer has the wherewithal to firstly keep us in the league this season and secondly bring in players with the desire and ability that this current lot don't have.
-
Nah, just isnae right. Don't give a fuck what the pros are
-
It would have been more accurate if he shouted 'go back to Bradford or Solihull ya imposter'... yes I think its racist comment from the said drunk individual but lets not draw it out of proportion. We dont have a racism problem at Fir Park, in fact I reckon our support is to nice to the opposition...Just look at when Peter Pawlett was shoulder charged into the East Stand by one of our players...one of our supporters very kindly picked him up and patted him on the heid ...in years gone by he'd have got a grogger in the face, a pepsi cup chucked on him or at worst slapped about a wee bit. Soft as shite these days though...
-
Can see both points of view on this one...the lad is 'rough and ready', his distribution is poor but he is committed and certainly a better option than Kerr, Cummins or Reid in beside Mick. If we has let him go and not adequately replaced him we would have been in an even bigger mess.
-
Says it all that I'm going for a teenager who was only on the park 20mins...I don't believe Dom Thomas is Superman but by fuck he brightened up 1 absolutely hellish match
-
Not from the East Stand, naw. Cellic players abusing Logan again?

My God that was utter, utter shite from start to finish. Found myself a bit perplexed when I first heard the starting line-up given the nick of the performance from almost the exact same team a couple of days ago...but I think Bara probably didn't want a left-hand side of Watt and Thomas due to them both being inexperienced. What we ended up with though was a starting 11 with no naturally left-footed players and I felt a tad sorry for Watt and Law, as neither of them looked comfortable in my opinion. Watt was targeted from the start by Aberdeen and was caught underneath the ball or out of position a good few times. Law, like others have said, doesn't hide but the fact he isn't very good AND right footed meant he was on a hiding to nothing from the start. Kerr is just awful, everywhere he plays, and I was still going off my head about his pish pass to notice what influence Mick the Dick had on their 1st goal. We had 1 (old) man in midfield on his tod, and it was pretty embarrassing how he was 1st to show for the ball on more than 1 occasion whilst the likes of Ainsworth hid. The injury list has crippled Bara to a degree, but would Carswell, Leitch or Vigurs been any better today than Reid? Wee Dan, is never an SPL level keeper, as can be witnessed by how he made a howling cunt of the 2nd goal, added to the fact he was Dundees 3rd choice. Woody Harrelson up front, is becoming an embarrassment, his lack of pace is incredible and the fact that he cannae seem to get his feet off the deck is frightening. Erwin, showed more movement in 20mins than he did in 70. Stuart McCall has left 1 load of shite behind and Barraclough has been left to pick up the pieces...hopefully he has a big list of contacts because he needs to replace Neilsen, Wee Dan, ZFA, Mick the Dick, Cummins, Kerr, Reid, Law, Vigurs, Lawson, Ojamma, Sutton and McHugh in the Summer. Struggling to find many positives other than Thomas and Erwin, but by God, throwing youngsters on and surrounding them with shite is a risky strategy for the sake of their development. P.s., not seen the penalty incident on TV, but if Mick did handle the ball on the line he should be kicked right in the balls...if he didn't, Collum should receive the same punishment.
