Campbell for me...went toe-to-toe with that utter scumbag Scott Brown and had him seriously rattled, harried and chased everything in the middle of the park.

See in general, I agree with that, I watch football at all levels from boys club up to International and referees are forever making mistakes, or being manipulated into making decisions by fans, players coaches...however, that last night just seemed different, he couldn't wait to point to the spot in the 88th minute of a match, in which Celtic would have been beaten for the 1st time in 60-odd games domestically. He was what, half-a-dozen yards away from the incident, and he must have been the only person in the stadium to believe that it was a foul on the tim? He wanted to give it, and thats what he done.

Fair play to Mr Hutchison...I wonder where the Club would be just now if it wasnt for his input

A 4 at the back against Celtic is an absolute must...play 3 at the back and we'll be far too exposed -

I believe they won't, due to the restricted amount of passes they have for the Hampden car parks -

Ahhh right...is that what 'DP' stands for? -
Totally agree with this....O'Donnell was a hero of mine when I was a young lad, I was there at Fir Park on the day that he passed away and I attended his funeral in Hamilton, but the 'O'Donnell Final' doesnt sit well with me. I'd rather we had a minutes applause prior to the match starting and leave it at that...our players and fans need to focus fully on this match and not have the game turned into a day of Celtic-style candle-lit vigil.

Its always handy to know how long there is to go in a match, but its not really the be all and end all. I think it would work though as an additional advertising feature at the ground...also how good would a big TV screen playing some fitba footage have been last Sunday while we were sitting bevvying in the Cooper Stand?

I wouldnt get worked up about any of that just now, lets see how it pans out. As long as the team play hard but fair we should be fine. -
I've normally got a bit of time for Tom English as he is generally pretty fair, but he has made a pure cunt of himself over this

Carson for me...everytime the ball went into our box, he seemed to take control of the situation

I'd rather we had the same 8k that were there on Sunday as opposed to another 10k on top of that who are only there for the occasion...the thought of Rangers supporters 'swelling our support' actually makes me want to spew.

They pumped Anderlecht...#Rodgerseffect

The money we get in comparison to what Celtic get is absolute peanuts. Celtic (and Rangers), hoover up cash consistently season after season, and they keep getting stronger domestically. Our league is absolutely fucked due to the amount of cash two clubs can generate compared to the rest, and for that reason I hope they get fucked up and down the place every time they play a game of fitba'.

Scottish Premiership Game 9: Accies (A) Saturday 14/10/17

First time I've managed to get on since the match...I wonder if Shaka has changed his mind any on plastic pitches?? I managed to get complimentary tickets for the Main Stand on Saturday through my sons boys club and attended that match with a few neutrals and 5 or 6 other 'well fans. The general consensus of everyone, was that the match was utterly dire, played in the air for at least 50% of the time and almost zero in the way of fluent, passing moves. Given that we have played some really decent stuff this season and have competent players from back to front that are comfortable in possession, while Accies have an advantage in that they use the park a helluva lot more than we do, I'd have thought that if the park was semi-decent, then we'd have been able to see a game that was more than kick-and-rush and aerial football. The truth is that this pitch in particular (though I'm against plastic pitches at the top level as a rule), isnt fit for purpose and they should be made to sort it out, its an utter embarrassment to the SPL in my opinion. For me, it was the worst we have played this season, in the matches that I've attended. I thought the defence was ropey, with Dunne in particular having a mare, Cadden looked drained, while our midfield 3, just couldnt seem to get their foot on the ball. Tait again worked away tirelessly as did the lads up front, without really getting the breaks required...again though, our character showed through and while we werent at our best, and the park can be partly blamed for that it was good to see our character and will-to-win getting us through that 90mins. Unlike the song that the youngsters were singing, I don't particularly 'hate Hamilton Accies', but I really would like to see them out of the league as soon as possible. Hopefully Partick Thistle can get their act together. p.s. There were umpteen 'well fans I spotted, dotted around the Main Stand -

I love comments like this... ...the plastic park at Accies is fucking dire -
As much as I'm a huge fan of his, I'm not sure he's even been our best player of the month, never mind the whole of the league??

He was given a two year deal I'm sure....I remember moaning about it at the time

As solid a win as you'll see, and for that reason its difficult to pick one person out over the rest for man of the match. During the game I was most impressed by Hartley, we've won a watch in getting him in for the season, a leader, talker, organiser and his footballing ability is pretty decent too. However, I've plumped for Richard Tait, what a game he had, 100% effort week-in, week-out and as two-footed a player as we've had for a long-time.

Motherwell and Louis Moult have fitted like a glove. If he leaves for heehaw at the end of the season, and joins a bigger club on more money, then I think we can safely say that his signing and time with us has been a huge success...for both parties. He joined us in June 2015 as a 23 year old from a very low-level of football, not only in standard but also in exposure level. We sold him the deal that if he came up here and played well, he'd be on the TV regularly, he'd be in the Sports sections of the national media on a weekly basis and he'd get to play against some very big clubs (we can't downplay the Rangers/Celtic effect in enticing players up here, its not a deal breaker but its something that just about every player coming from England mentions at some point in an interview, playing at full houses is something players want). He has a family to support and has took a punt on us, just like Marvin Johnson and Ben Heneghan did, and we are likely to be able to use these guys as proof that our sales pitch works, to our next list of targets. If he lets his contract run down and leaves at the end of the season, and we don't get a shilling for him, then thats not a big deal in my eyes. He'll have contributed around 60 goals to the cause, and where would we have been without his goals in the past two seasons? The transfer system is a quirky situation sometimes, we get a good offer for a guy like Ben Heneghan (who I thought was reasonably good), while we struggled to attract much for Moult in the Summer, and we had the Randolph situation a few years back, where for me, our best ever goalkeeper went completely unnoticed.

£45 for me and my two boys to see our team play at Hampden for the first time in years? Seems pretty reasonably priced to me. Agree on the 17-year old situation right enough, there should be some sort of student concession available, but I suppose thats open to abuse. Also agree on us being hit with the shitey seats, while Rangers get the North Stand, but we've got to be practical with that as well. There will be 5,000 or 6,000 'well fans there I'd imagine, not really in much of a position to make too many demands. -
Scottish Premiership Game 7: Aberdeen (H) Sunday 24/09/17 (12.15)
ONeils40yarder replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
Seldom have I seen a team come to Fir Park with the sole intention of 'parking the bus', in such a blatant fashion. The cynic in me would have a go at Aberdeen and their manager for their tactics, which ultimately revolved around no more than, stifling and suffocating the life out of the match, however the realist in me wasn't surprised to see them go with 3 centre-halves, another one at left-back, Greg Tansey drafted in for more height and a defensive minded partner in Shinnie beside him, with Stevie May up front all on his own. They were absolutely pummeled, and pulverised on Thursday and the same would have happened again on Sunday if they had allowed us to play our game...so fair play to Mcinnes for changing his tactics, getting a break in our box and then shutting up shop even further, by withdrawing May and slinging on another defender and also introducing Rooney for Christie and playing him camped in his own box. We looked fatigued as well in my opinion, with both our strikers running on empty early in the second half. We should have shuffled the pack just to keep Aberdeen thinking a wee bit, maybe gone 1 up front with someone supporting from deep, started with Frear instead of Tait to give us a better balance and a different outball to Cadden. All that said, I think we were still the better side, plenty of the ball, but virtually no end product and not enough guile to pass through the defensive wall that Aberdeen built. I see Fisher, is taking a wee bit of flak at the moment, and yes he was poor when he came on but he's in the same boat that Bowman was in last season, getting 10mins here and there if he is lucky. Any player needs a run of games before he can be judged, unfortunately for him, Bowman and Moult have the strikers positions nailed down just now. The same goes for Bigirimana, I've yet to see why those at the Club were so excited to get this guy signed up, but I'm prepared to give him time to find his feet and nail down a position in the team...hes a completely different type of central midfielder to all of the other guys, so hopefully he'll be of use to us over the course of the season.
