My bets on Steve Diggle, but in a right patronising kind of way
-
When when we were playing poorly last year, you always knew that we were always a threat. This season so far, it looks to me like we have next to no threat at all
-
We are pish poor this season - that's the bottom line. I wish I had been around to watch our pish teams in the 70s and early 80s as I would then have a better sense of perspective
-
For fuck sake
-
Careful now. You'll get the thread closed with harsh criticism like that
-
Wish I had no principles
-
Strange one for anier not to start, particularly when the lump o' wid keeps his place. That line up looks like Faddy being on the right again, where he is pretty much a man short for most of the time. Agree with the dropping of ZFA though
-
7/5 for an ICT win at Hills - never bet against my team but that's tempting
-
I reckon we should try Levein's 4-6-0 in this game, at least that way Sutton wont get on the park. Seriously, though I'd be happy with a draw from this match
-
Nah, I'd rather not take a player on loan from the same league, too many reasons for it not to work out. Player not allowed to play against parent club Fans dont take to the player, eg Calum Elliott and Sillyname Sheridan because they are deemed to be gaining experience at us before going back to their parent Club The fact that he would be coming from Celtic as well would just be a huge stick to beat him with if he didnt cut the mustard.

I think you've got to be a happy clapper, or around in the Jock Wallace era to be allowed a free reign in here. Imagine closing a thread criticising a player on a football fans messageboard, deary, deary me.
-
Sorry, hadn't realised I had stumbled across the North Korean Motherwell supporters messageboard.
-
Can anyone confirm or deny that the bawbag of a referee is indeed a Motherwell fan? I know he is a local lad
-
Wonder if Omar has found a Club yet
-
Thank the fucking lord.....if he has all his limbs and we are sure he is a winger then dont let him leave with out getting a contract signed
-
Its that obvious that we need a winger of any note that I'd accept Steve Jones or even Jim O'Brien() back with open arms right now.
-
Seeing as someone has took it upon themselves to lock the 'Sutton' thread, is this the right place to talk about how pish he is?
-
Hollis for me, but that's more to do with the fact that none of the outfield players were any good
-
Don't understand the negative reps on this post as every word is true of today's game. Faddy isn't beyond criticism surely?
-
Fucking dreadful stuff today, it really was. I was up the other end of the ground and can't really comment on the Reynolds header or the 2nd penalty, but the 1st one I'd pin on Hammell, even though Mick gave the penalty away, terrible area to lose the ball. McFadden needs to get the finger out, and quickly, just about everything he tried today failed, and that's not anywhere near good enough for a player who is meant to be our creative spark - his body language was terrible, and I'm starting to get fed up making excuses for him. Angol isn't ready for regular first team fitba', his decision making is pish, and I've got a feeling he is getting in the team because he has pace. Sutton is just garbage, and its going to be one helluva slog watching him all season. Aberdeen were better than us for the full game, so I don't know why McCall waited til 10mins to go to make a sub, as it was plain to see that we were toiling badly.....in fact I do know why, it's because we have no options at all on the bench. Bringing Kerr on to play right wing is a fucking belter.

I don't know what you are talking about with regards to realism and negativity. I'm positive about my teams chances in the league this year and I'm also realistic when it comes to our chances in Europe. I'm questioning the point of the whole charade of euro fitba' where we are lined up as patsies for (in general) middle of the road sides.

They put Utrecht out in the last round - I can imagine the pelters had we got beaten from Differdange
-
Higgingbotham would have been a great signing right now
-
Well that's it done for another year (providing we can finish in the top 3 again this season). But my feelings on European fitba' now is 'what's the point?' I was only a boy when we played against Katowice, Dortmund, Havnar and Mypa, and while I was at all the home games, I had no chance of growing abroad. So it was a huge thing for me and I suppose the whole fan base when we qualified under the McGhoo. The crowd we took to nancy was sensational for a club our size. I drove through the night to Bristol to get a flight to Paris, followed by a train to Nancy and the same on return, because I wasn't prepared to miss the tie. The following season, I went to Lanelli on the Joker bus, and went to Bucharest on my Todd (although I met up with folk on the way there and in the city itself), spending money that I really shouldn't have. I then spent two days on the bus to Odense, again money was tight, but I didn't want to miss what could have been our last away adventure for a long time, so I bit the bullet and booked up by myself again. However, I didn't entertain the prospect of trips to levante, Athens or Russia, and to be honest swithered about buying tickets for our home tie against Kuban. There are a few things that piss me off about it all, when we meet a team of a certain standard we know we are getting fucked out, the year we played against Llanelli, the Albanian mob and then Bucharest was at least entertaining, but going straight in against a club with resources that are multiple times what ours are is soul-destroying particularly after a great season last year and ultimately the destruction of that side. Added to that is the financial side of things, the Club works its arse off all year to be rewarded with a trip to the back of beyond, our arse handed to us and a financial boot in the baws to go along with it. I've loved the past 5 or 6 years as our consistency has been outstanding, but this annual capitulation in Europe is a scunner.

0-0 McManus and Hutch at the back will cope with whatever Aberdeen have to offer, and our big lump of wood will continue to flounder
