  1. I'd start with Randolph Hateley Hutch Ramsden Hammell Law Carswell Ojama Faddy Higginbotham Higdonkey Us having Faddy on the bench is akin to Man Utd signing Messi and not finding a place for him in the team. That front four would destroy United tonight. In saying all that, I'm positive that McCall will start with the same XI from the weekend
  2. It was a pish poor shot that luckily landed in front of Higdon
  3. Not a fan of Humphrey and never have been. More often than not picks the wrong option, and for whatever reason seems to be slower now than when he first signed
  4. Does a shitey IPad make you put Higdon in your starting XI?
  5. Of course.... I was expecting a lot more from them in the final 3rd and it never really happened, which is great for Motherwell obviously, I just imagine a much more difficult match, although I'm not sure why given the scuddings we have handed them this season.
  6. Tough one today. Higdon, scored ANOTHER two goals today, even though I've seen him play a lot better. Hutch and Ramsden were solid at the back Hateley had his best match defensively in a long time Carswell covered every blade of grass, and ensured we never missed Lasley. Hammell never put a foot wrong. Humphrey was pish Higginbitham looks like a really good addition and linked well with Ojama and law Ojama, is such a tireless player who causes defenders nothing but hassle, he must be a nightmare to play against. BUT Nicky Law was my MOTM, he was faultless today and I actually think he benefited from Lasley not playing as Carswell is much more suited to defensive duties which allowed Law to press forward and dictate the game.
  7. Really enjoyed the game today, although was disappointed with ICT as I expected more from them. Defence was solid, and thought Hateley had his best game defensively for a long time. Carswell complimented Law better than Lasley does I would suggest, as he is more than happy to protect the back four while Law bombs on and I think Law enjoyed that freedom today. Really liked the look of Higginbotham, looks to have a really good football brain and linked up well with Law and Ojama in particular. Higdon just keeps on scoring, and I still find it hilarious that he still has critics within the well support - as the song goes 'give him the ball and he'll score'.
  8. Fair do's, and I'm all for hitting a player with a fine. It's your suggestion that the ICT game was in the back of his mind that is nonsense
  9. To put an even more biased slant on it, from an opposition point of view, our resident Killie fan reckons the challenge was 'sheer lunacy'
  10. So why wouldn't he want to face Inverness? Fact of the matter is that Lasley has never been a great tackler, and even worse now that he is slower than he was....he is also prone to the old red mist every now and again. Whether that makes him thick is a different discussion. You, however, are aff yer Heid.
  11. Not at the match, and obviously can't comment on the tackle but why would Lasley not want to play against Inverness? By all accounts he's made a dick of himself but I doubt that Inverness were even in his thoughts
  12. 3 chances, 3 goals. MOTM has to go to the fat donkey up front, who happens to be 2nd top scorer in the league. Who did you vote for Steelboy?
  13. Barcelona would have struggled against your 8-man defence
  14. If he was capable of defending he would have been on
  15. Said to my 8yr old on the way to the game, that if we got the 1st goal in early then we would give them a cuffing and that's exactly how it played out. For Broon to say that the score line flattered us is utterly bizarre, yes they had a couple of good early chances but over the course of 90mins we utterly destroyed them in every area of the pitch - it was really impressive stuff. Tactically, smc out thought the two auld pricks, and I'm pretty sure that had we gone with our conventional formation then we may not have had the same outcome. What was the formation, 3-4-3, 3-5-2, 3-4-2-1? Fuck knows!!! A few quick points; The interplay, movement and fluidity of our players in that formation was great to see, Lasley popping up on the left, Ojama and Murphy swapping endlessly, Law roaming, Hateley, ZFA and Kerr joining in on attacks. The only players who really remained in the one position were Higdon, hutch and Ramsden/cummins. Higdon could easily have seen red, but then again so could their guy when we got the pen Aberdeen are fucking abysmal, they really are, and that's the only negative feeling I had leaving fir park yesterday, how did we manage to lose to that lot in the Cup?? Broon goes on about his injury list, but what difference would the likes of Hughes or Naysmith have made to their performance? Not much probably, ad when you sign guys of their age or with their track record in terms of injury then you have nae excuse. Hutch was all over the place in the early stages of the match, and while I'm a big fan of his, he hasn't filled me with much confidence this season. Was he toiling with the new formation, has he toiled because crags isn't there anymore? Ojama looked back to his old self, Aberdeen couldn't live with him at times yesterday and his set up play for Higdons goal was sublime. Please don't let Murphy hit another penalty I'm not convinced by young Angol. Early stages of his well career of course, but I don't think he will be a long term replacement to Hammell, as his positional awareness seems to be lacking. Long term replacement for Murphy, would seem more plausible to me. Overall, it was a devastating performance from us, which was long overdue at fir park this season
  16. Not sure where this Ferguson talk has came from, and have nae idea how he has been playing recently or whether he would welcome a stint at Fir Park, but the facts of the matter are that we haven't replaced Jennings, McCall doesn't seem to rate Carswell or Hetherington, Ramsden and Hateley don't seem to be the answer, which leaves us so light in the middle of the park it's scary. Law is better wide than in the middle, and I'd imagine that having ferguson playing behind Lasley would be a major comfort to our centre halves who have had to watch us being split right down the middle time and again.
  17. I see Ramsden has really shored up the backline.....or is it Hutch that is the weak link?
  18. Its funny, the older I get, the less I care if players leave or not. I can remember worrring myself sick about Faddy leaving, but now the prospect of Murphy, Ojamma or any of the other players, bar none, leaving doesnt worry me in the slightest. Maybe its because of our recent success in the transfer market (in terms of replacing players who have left) but I'm happy to let the Club do what they believe is best for MFC on and off teh park during the transfer window.
  19. I've seen some amount of pish on this forum but this takes the biscuit. I've sat in the East Stand since the seats went in and have never felt uncomfortable after shouting positive comments.
  20. If the Club are letting Saunders go because he is continually injured then fair do's, if he is being released beacuse McCall doesnt rate him then thats a different kettle of fish. I'd put my money on his injuries putting paid to his 'well career though....
  21. Thought it was that prick. Take it he isn't employed at Aberdeen anymore?
  22. Who is on radio Scotland summarising the Aberdeen game along with Billy Dodds?
  23. Same here....sitting here with my 8year auld tae
  24. My oldest was the 'well mascot at that, awful, awful game of fitba and a hundred times worse than the Hearts game at the weekend
