  1. Delighted to hear his name getting chanted by most of the stadium last night, and the 'lets all do the higgy' getting an airing as well. Some of us have knew all along that he provided 'something' to the team, others seemed unwilling from the start to give him a chance.
  2. Funny old game right enough, and its all about opinions. Personally, I thought we were dreadful in the 1st half, we obviously missed Lasley in the middle but I felt we also missed Law out wide, as Daley is a bit of bombscare for me, although he did do exceptionally well at Murphys goal. 2nd half was night and day, but the fact we got the penalty straight after half time definitely helped us on our way. Its strange, but I thought that Higdon had one of his worst 45mins (1st half) since he signed for us, nothing seemed to stick and I felt that McPake dominated him, after his 1st penalty he seemed to up his game, or was it because Henrik had upped his?? As for Clancy, thought he had a decent game again (been a revelation since he signed in my eyes), and my mate who isnt a 'well fan picked him out as his motm!! Dont know what was up with Randy though, despite a few cracking saves he looked very nervy at times last night and wasnt anywhere near as commanding as he was againt Hertz. Hateleys distribution and dead-balls were terrible. No idea why Fenlon took Griffiths off, he was far and away their most dangerous player. All-in-all, I thought it was highly entertaining, great atmosphere (nobody is telling me that we could have squeezed another 5500 people in there last night!!) a few good goals and the bandwagon keeps on rolling.

Higdon is more effective with Ojamaa playing beside him, but that doesnt mean that Higdon is playing better. Pre-Ojamaa, he didnt have anyone within 20yards of him most of the time, that isnt Higdons fault. As for confidence, I think thats probably because he doesnt have the East Stand mutants on his case for 90minutes at the moment. Although I'm sure there would have been some desperate to scream at him for that cvnt of a miss on Saturday - luckily for him we were 3 up at that point.

Higdon is doing nothing different to what he was pre-Ojamaa, its just that he now has someone to work with closely.

I know what you mean, find it quite odd and possibly worrying that we were going to allow this laddie (who has kick-started our season) to leave after a trial, as we couldnt offer him a decent deal a) why the fuck did we have him on trial in the 1st place, if there was no cash about b) why did we tell the boy that we couldnt offer him anything, before managing to find his 'bus fare' money when he begged for a contract c) McCall reckoned that when he did sign that he wasnt sure if he was ready for the 1st team d) why was the boy scratching about for a contract in the 1st place It shows there are gems out there, its just a matter of finding them.

    Hearts

1st time that I've voted for Ojamma, he was dynamite today
  7. Fantastic result and performance. Hopefully we can keep it up on Wednesday with another three points in front of a huge crowd.
  8. I've got a terrible feeling that Hateley will be fired into midfield and Craigan will be brought back in. Hope to fuck I'm wrong
  9. I'd agree that today wasnt his best in terms of distribution but he has been solid with the ball at his feet since he signed for us. I'd be more than happy to see him and Hutch keeping Craggs on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
  10. Hutch was immense, and I really like the partnership with Clancy. Clancy had one or two wayward passes but by fuck, my heart isnt in my mouth when he recieves the ball the way it is with Craigan.
  11. The most one-sided 1st half of football I've ever seen in my life. I still can't really work out what the fuck Mortons game plan was - they were fucking hellishly bad.
  12. Clancy and Hutch for me as well. Craigans best days are behind him
  13. even if we do sign Henry on the back of Murphy leaving we'd still be a player short for the remainder of the season unless we got somebody else in as well.
  14. We are quite obviosuly pratted, we must be to have accepted £250k for Murphy and (from what I'm hearing) a 'poor offer' for Hutchison. I am more than happy to live within our means and we will always be a selling club from now on, hopefully this transfer window will serve as a wake-up call to those who think we have a god-given right to be 3rd in the SPL and regularly hump teams with double our budget. One thing that I would say though is that, IF anybody does leave then they MUST be replaced, our squad is far too thin and our options are severly limited at times. I'm sure the Ginger Mourinho is on the case as we speak.
  15. Jenno for me, fucking class act, its no coincidence that Lasley plays at the top of his game when the Scouser is there watching his back. We are going to have one hell of a job replacing Randy and Jenno in the Summer if the inevitable happens.

Fuck it..................Get the wee man signed up Ginger!!! Again, didnt think he was the man of the match as Jenno was tremendous, but another two goals and another very good performance from Henry (cannae bring myself to type his real name), lets hope it isnt just a flash in the pan and we can offer him something worth signing.
  17. one of the most consistent full-backs in the league.........wish to fuck he would hurry up with his throw-ins though
  18. Noticed that as well. I've been banging the drum since the big fella' was signed that there is no way that he'll be able to play up front on his own, but that doesnt mean that he has had a bad game, it means that the formation doesnt suit his strengths so you either adapt the formation or you put a more mobile striker up front on his own. There were folk round about me on Tuesday night who were applauding Higdons every touch, but have been berating him for much of the season. He done hee-haw differently its just that those around him worked differently.

Lets not get carried away here. Have to admit he has looked very good from what I've seen (against a knackered amateur team and a pish Dunfermline team), hard-worker, honest, quick, nippy and strong but I'd like to see a few more of those performances before I hang my hat on him as the new Faddy. I honestly thought that he had a good game last night but not the 'amazing' or 'tremendous' performance that has been talked about on here and by 'no-nothings' in the media like billy Dodds. Honest assessment is, looks very promising but the jury is still out and remember that for every Skippy there is a David Ferrere.
  20. Strugling to see how anybody can say that Ojamma won it 'by a country mile' as I felt that the whole team were excellent from the moment Craigan got sent-off. Hutch - for me was the stand-out, top-notch along with Clancy, and hopefully they make it difficult for McCall to return Crags to the team over the next few matches.
  21. Of course it has more of a competitive edge than a bounce game
