I've got a feeling that the media have a real downer now on Scottish Fitba' because of how bad the Old Firn have become, they are no longer mediocre in Europe they are downright pish therefore in the medias eyes Scottish Fitba' = shite. We havent got any worse over the past 10 years in my opinion but the Old Firm arguably have. The media have a duty to 'bum up' the product that serves them so well, but they seem to have a constant negative angle on it which does nothing to entice people to attend. For instance, the media seemed to revel in saying how poor our crowd was against Killie but really what the fuck were they expecting considering the kick-off time, live on telly and opposition, they should have been positive about the fans who did turn out, mention the atmosphere generated by the singing section and generally try and make it sound exciting as they somehow manage to do on Sky when reporting on even the pishest, most obscure matches in England.

I'm bamboozled by some of the negativity, although I probably fucking shouldnt be given that this is Motherwell fans we are talking about..........if we have the capability (ie available funds) to sign Stephen Hughes we should fucking be delighted. One of the best midfielders that I have seen playing for Motherwell over the past 25 years or so, and he would compliment any variation of our midfield and would offer a bit of guile and creativity that Jennings and Lasley are often short of. Who fucking knows, maybe McCall is aware that Jenno or Law could be lined up for a move at Christmas and he is getting ahead of the game by lining up a replacement already, maybe the gaffer WANTS to change the formation because he realises that the current one doesnt always work and thinks that a midfield 3 of Jennings, Lasley and Hughes and a front 3 of Law, Murphy and Higdon will offer more going forward than we have currently. Regardless of the reasons, I'll be chuffed if we can afford to sign Hughes and I'm more than happy to let the manager use HIS resources as he sees fit.

Not had a chance to sign-up yet and will do in due course, but what is the Steph Hughes goss, is it with a view to signing?

Dont know how the game will pan out, one thing I'm sure of though is that I'm going to get melted!!

Tom Clancy had a great game in my opinion, looks more assured with each passing match. Higdon, Jennings and Hateley also impressed........but I am concerned with how poor Murphy has been for some weeks now, something just doesnt seem right with the boy.

Dont agree with that at all, his shooting in particular was diabolical...if he was one of our players the East Stand would have crucified him

Every club draws support from other towns within a close proximity to their home town, but not every club has the OF at such close proximity

Having read Stuart McCall's most recent e-mail to the supporters, the part that I really picked up on was how the gaffer made mention that in his opinion Motherwell is a 'special club',.........I'm obviously (highly) biased, but I happen to agree with him, MFC is a great Club. I was in the Club shop yesterday and picked up a leaflet about the 'well society and the opening blurb also made me take stock of what our Club came from and what it means today. Two small local clubs, presumably no more than works teams, amalgamate and establish Motherwell Football Club 125 years ago....we now stand as one of the top 12 teams in the country and consistently one of the Top6, and currently in the Top2 . Whilst not wanting to go down the 'punching above our weight' avenue, I've always been intrigued by the fact that Motherwell is a town of approximately 30,000 people yet that town hosts a relatively successful SPL team, whilst other towns of similar or bigger size have teams who are no where near as successful as ours. Our achievements recently and throughout the past 125 years are at the very least equal to any club of a comparitive size. What I am trying to say is that, Motherwell Football Club is 'special', as McCall put it (hopefully sincerely). So here's to a positive thread, what do we all think makes Motherwell FC, a great Club??

Just like to congratulate those involved in this initiative, my wee fella' had a great week, and was absolutely knackered at his boys club training this evening. Everything went as planned (to my knowledge), and everything that was promised was delivered - breakfast with the 1st team each morning, a session on the pitch, McCall made the presentations, the players seemed to interact with the kids each day, signing session on the last day... The club ran this course for 5 days from 8.30am to 4pm, at a great cost of £55, so credit where its due....well done MFC, the coaches and a big thanks to Stuart and his team for taking the time and effort with the boys that came along..........I really think this is the type of thing that will pay off for Motherwell in the long run, shit loads of boys in C&A (I'm sure the club shop wouldve done a roaring trade), although there were one or two rogues with 'other' clubs colours on . Definitey a worthwhile investment on my part and I would recommend it highly to anybody thinking of sending their boy on the Easter course!!

Fucking delighted that he told they mhanky fuckers to bolt....again...... he's a legend for that alone.

In fairness, any time I seen him play for you Killie Bhoys I thought he was a total haddie (playing at right back), but give him his due he has been playing to a decent standard since he arrived here. Sometimes that happens in fitba'..............

I was at that game, the goal was fucking brilliant and I knew we had a 'decent' player on our hands at that point.
