  1. I can here his critics just now.....'he only scored a tap-in and a penalty, apart fae that he done nothing else blah, blah, blah de blah'
  2. sssshhhhhh. There are certain people on this board who think he is the anti-christ. 3 -0, gon the big man. Get it up ye Steelboy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Me neither, the things that boy can do with a football............. In all seriousness, for 7 United players to be called up under Levein and 1 Motherwell player (and that was only to make up the numbers at the last minute) just shows how much of a fucking idiot that Speccy bastard is.
  4. precisely, ......I dont claim to be some sort of football genius, but I can see what Higdon is bringing to the team (sometimes even when he is playing poorly), flick-ons, holding the ball up, bringing others into play. The trouble seems to be that others are struggling to see what he offers, and when he has a howler (like against Aberdeen) they are quick to get on his back. He isnt ever going to be the type of player who beats 4 men on his way to firing one into the top corner, he is a link-up type of player who I personally see as a 'second' striker, hence the reason that I'd like to see Murphy (or Boab) playing right on his shoulder and getting the benefit of his flicks and knock-downs not standing 20/30yards away from him.
  5. pish..........its just that the fuck nuggets tend to be more vocal at the games than the ones with more that 2 brain cells
  6. I wisnae there, but I can bet I know exactly who they are. The numpties do nothing but abuse who they dont like (Higdon in particular).
  7. Best player that our esteemed international manager has ever worked with apparently . The mind fucking boggles......
  8. yes, although I think she is a bit more chilled out, possibly matured with age . She used to be a right fucking red neck
  9. me tae, thought Jenno was poor again today, still not heard the East stand turn on him yet though . Jenno is one of my favourite players but he has been well off this boil this week
  10. McCall defends his decision(not that he needs to) to leave Higdon on and take Murphy off, I would take a stab in the dark and suggest that NONE of the boo-boys would have given any though to Higdons defensive duties when they were booing the decision. Goes to show that there is more to it than most would have thought......... While some fans gave the former St Mirren man some stick, McCall is conscious of what The Steelmen’s top scorer brings to the team. “I have seen this ever since I was a boy when I went to Leeds and I used to hear Terry Yorath get a lot of stick,” the 47-year old recalled. “There always seems to be a boo-boy. If I am a supporter of a club I can’t understand it. “Higgy has just got to get on with it, we are all in it together at Motherwell as players, staff and fans and we need to stick together and get behind each other. “You pay your money – but for the benefit of the team we had to keep him on. We are a small team at set pieces. We had Steven Hammell picking up Scott Vernon and Tom Hateley picking up Andrew Considine. If you then take Higdon off we could have been undone. “We miss Hutchinson and Saunders and if we would have kicked ourselves if we had lost a goal from a set piece if we had taken him off.”
  11. It isnt just the middle sections of the East stand, there are retards all along the full length of that stand, had words with a couple of zoomers sitting in front of me on Tuesday night in the 2nd last section towards the South stand and then moved up to the last section at the Cooper end in the 2nd half and listened to similar vitriol from those around me there as well. The Cooper is the same and the Main Stand also....we've got a load of clueless mongs in our support but I'd bet that every Club in Scotland will have their fair share as well. The problem we have is that the East is so close to the pitch that the players will hear what is being shouted, we should be using that to our advantage by getting behind our players and hurling as much abuse at the OPPOSITION players as we can.
  12. awful, awful game of fitba' and thought we looked very flat. Aberdeen are horrific and set their stall out to frustrate us and it nearly worked. Smashing goal from young Bob, hopefully he can kick on from here and hopefully this will give McCall the courage to use his bench more often as we can't possibly go on using the same bodies week-in, week-out. Delighted with the outcome, but slightly down about the whole performance......but its always nice to see a Craig Brown team getting beat. Get it up you and yer pal Knox ya couple of auld wanks, wont be long now until your back on the dole!!!!
  13. Got to say, that I think the big man was very poor today..........BUT so were the vast majority of the team. We've said it before but there are some amount of idiots that follow Motherwell and the reaction to Murphy being subbed just summed it up. Love Murphy to bits, but he has been performing well below the level we expect of him for weeks and today his performance was also very disappointing, yet he gets an easy ride whilst Higdon has several hundreds fannys all around the ground screaming abuse at him. Also, when McHugh cam on we reverted to a straight 4-4-2 and I feel this will benefit not only Higdon but the rest of the team as well.
  14. Maybe we should start a thread on each one of our players and we can defend or rip them to bits as much as we like
  15. The CF who has just laid it off for Humphrey (the fastest thing on two legs) is supposed to get back in the box to meet the cross? He's nae chance because he is so fat. Listen, I'm not saying that i think he is world-class far from it but I dont think he is deserving of the criticism he gets from a 'section' of our support particularly with the formation we are playing and the fact that others who are revered by the same 'sections' have been playing pish or hiding for weeks.
  16. Naw, naw he's a fat bastard and McCall should get him to fuck, 99% of Motherwell fans have spoken
  17. He'll hit 20 Scoring goals means fuck all ? Has that wee burd been letting you sniff her knickers? He scored a 3rd (I think) of St Middens goals last season, we need to make sure that others produce the goods around about him, he was also instrumental in creating chances for others last night but we'll not talk about Nicky Law's finishing or Lasley's 'shooting'!!
  18. Missing the point I think. Changes should have been made when Agogo came on and some of our players were blowing out of their arse. We were hanging on and should have been looking to shore up at the back.
  19. what do I need to do to see it? Only got an empty blank box
  20. He'll be the Clubs top scorer this season by a distance and if we can sort our tactics out to suit him, then I'm willing to say that I reckon he'll become a fans favourite. Someone mentioned that we shouldnt be tailoring our tactics to suit him......whit a load of pish, he was signed by McCall and McCall needs to get the best out of the assets at his disposal, particularly the ones that he has signed and currently I dont think he is doing that in Higdons case. Lots more to come from Higgy I reckon, or am I starting to become his 'Dazzer'? p.s. you want to have seen some of the slobs who were calling the big man 'fat'
  21. seen him score a better goal for the Reserves against St Johnstone before he had made the 1st team. Beat just about every player in Blue before knocking the ball past the keeper. Mind thinking to myself that we had a belter on our hands.
  22. Gow was totally fucking minging and I called that from his 1st game, Fagan was brutal and I called that from when he was playing for the youth teams, Fitzpatrick worked hard but was gash in the main....but Michael Higdon (in my opinion) will be a good signing for Motherwell though you are entirely right about his athleticism, BUT that to me isnt his game (and subsequently not his fault if things arent going his way) his hold up play is good, his finishing is good and the space he makes for others is good. He needs a forward playing alongside him and if I was McCall I'd be seriously considering a new formation to get the best out of him. McHugh playing right on teh big mans shoulder would benefit both players in my opinion.
  23. You are not part of the '1% non-bellend 'well fans' though
