  1. Totally understand where you are coming from, but playing devils advocate I can see where the other argument comes from too and to be honest part of me says that surely football fans who make a genuine financial contribution to Scottish Fitba should be catered for before the 'day trippers' who wouldnt know the difference between the Main Stand and the Cooper Stand, Stevie Kirk fae Joe McLeod or the Scottish Cup fae the League Cup.
  2. Sorry mate, but I reckon thats what a large portion of our support on the day will be there for. 16k-18k isnt bad in my opinion, lets make sure we get them all sold (to 'well fans) and make more noise than 25k in the munchers end.
  3. 15k is more than we can get into Fir Park, Steelboy
  4. I know plenty of Cellic fans that dont support Cellic because of their 'sectarian marketability'. Listen, I'll be delighted to see 16k people in the Motherwell end hoping that the team in C&A win the trophy, but I can understand why people will be pissed off that they cant get a Cellic ticket because Motherwell have been given over 4times their core support to allow folk to take and Tom, Dick or Harry that they please. Dont get me wrong, I fucking ahte Cellic and most of their fans and I'm giving my spare tickets to part-time 'well fans but I can see why people of a Cellic persuasion are peeved - you'd have to be a zoomer not to see their logic.
  5. Missed my point I think, Dave. I was meaning that I can undesrtand the (cellic) argument behind us getting an allocation that correlates to our regular support rather than our regular support + maws + burds.
  6. what? Cellic season-ticket holders not getting tickets because my motherwell season ticket holding mate is taking his maw and burd with him?
  7. It doesnt. I've said it before, I have a degree of sympathy with a season ticket holder of any club who cant get a ticket for a national final because of umpteen thousand day trippers.
  8. I've got a feeling that we are going to miss him unfortunately
  9. are we getting another home strip again this year? It only feels like a few of months ago that I bought the current one for the weans
  10. its not hard to work out
  11. Quick question; I've got two boys but only took one to the Semi. Planning on taking both to the Final, will I have to pay for two family tickets (and therefore have one adult ticket too many) or will I be able to pay for an adult and two weans for the family section?
  12. Get Jeffers, Sutton, Ross and Jennings signed up for next season along with 1 or 2 new faces and I'm convinced that we have a team that could do even better than we have done this year.
  13. I'm ashamed to admit that I have a fair degree of sympathy for the manky bastards to be honest, we are going to ask for 20k tickets? More than 5times our average home support. I can see why they are raging, but fuck them .
  14. Have you actually watched any games that he has played in?
  15. I know for a fact that some people wont go if it is against Cellic, I also know that some folk wont take their weans to watch a game involving the Old Firm.
  16. Another issue is that if we get to the Final and we are due to play Cellic, you will get 'floating' fans who wont go purely because we are playing Cellic, and the likelihood of adults taking their full family to the game will also be smaller due to the issues that Cellic fans can cause as well as our odds of actually getting a win. If we play Aberdeen in the Final, I reckon we would manage 20k-ish, if it were Cellic I'd expect a fair bit less 12-15k-ish.
  17. Even though I would never dream of doing what el-pidge is doing, I honestly can't blame anybody who doesnt pay £23 go to a match that is played at 12.30 and is live on TV.
  18. weather is fine (as usual) in Bellshill at the moment, dont see the game being in any doubt at all.
  19. hope that isnae a dig about the fact that the wee prick is fae Bellshill ya c**t
  20. Reasonably happy with this signing, gives us someone natural to play at right-back, plenty of experience and at a decent age. He'll get the same chance fae me that everybdoy gets apart fae Alan Gow.
  21. I have nae idea what position would best suit Gow, never a wide player, never a striker, at least we know where to play Franny. I would say Gow's build is fuck all like Jeffers, and at least when Franny jumps you would be able to squeeze a Motherwell Times underneath him, unlike the shitebag that was Gow Teammates not on the same wavelength? This is a myth for me, Gow was on his own frequency each week due to the fact that he was shite not everyother body in the team. Andy Roddie had a willingness to make things happen, but couldnt, just like Gow The jury is still out on Jeffers as far as I'm concerned, he had a great game the other night and has put in a few decent performances so far, lets hope he keeps it up. On the other hand Gow was as every bit as stinking fae the 1st minute as teh Hibs and Falkirk fans told e he would be.
  22. Haha. he was fucking murder movement wise and couldnt hold teh ball up worth a fuck. Aff yer heid
  23. Murphy for me, for his performance in teh 1st half hour alone, he was unstoppable and that right-back never had a clue how to play him. There wasnt a poor player on the park for us, but I thought Murphy was looking excellent, although his 1st touch in the last few minutes could have been better.
