Most did well yesterday, but Hutch was easily the stand-out for me.

the pitch looked terible trackside before the match, but on BBC alba at night I didnt think there was actually that much difference between our pitch and that at Hearts. We'll get the shit-end of the stick fae the media though

Hibs are fucking shite (it actually feels good typing that), they are fucking shite. Their players have no desire and no ability (a team of Kevin McBrides?), as someone else said, defenders who cannae defend and strikers who cannae score. I'd actually like to see the stats as I reckon they had far more attempts on target, all of which were battered straight at Randy. For me, Motherwell never got out of 2nd gear, nor did we need to - and that was also good to see. Thought McCalls tactics were bang on. Jones looked decent on the left and was a lot nippier than I expected him to be - he'll do a job for us on the left until the Summer anyway!! Hutchison was easily our best player though, a real solid performance from a young guy who has been out of the 1st team for so long and it looks as though we wont miss Reynolds at all. The decision to bring Page on as a man-marker for Zemmamma was excellent from the management team, as he suffocted the wee dickhead in the middle of the park. Not getting too far ahead of ourselves as Hibs were fucking shite, but credit where it is due to the team and management - we can only play what is put in front of us. Anybody who said they wanted Derek Adams in as our manager can take a flying shite to themselves, a couple of weeks after coming back from a 13 week touchline ban he goes and gets himself sent to the stand for having a go at the 4th official for fuck all as far as I could see fae the Main Stand. On that note, I thought the officials were terrible for both teams, constantly giving fouls for fuck all between Hutch and Nish whenever they clashed in the air, giving free-kicks to players because they asked for them (Riorsdan springs to mind) and how McBride stayed on the park is beyond belief!! Anyway the mascot enjoyed his day, apart from falling face 1st into the middle of the beach pre-match!!

regardless of how the conversations went, questions asked etc should we not have ensured that he was able to play for us before we told the world that he would be? We are at fault, not Leeds, not the SFA, us.

I dont find any of that funny, the fact that all these things are turning people away from supporting football and MFC in particular is far from funny.

couldnt give two fucks about Leeds, a quick search on Leeds website shows that he has played for 2 clubs this season, thats how easy it woud have been for us NOT to make a Harry Hunt of ourselves.

What are the laws on players playing for more than 2 clubs over the course of a season? Grella has played for Leeds and Cardiff so far in 2010-11, and my understanding, so kindly pointed out to me by a Killie fan, is that Grella can't play for Motherwell. Have we made a Harry Hunt of ourselves here?

Good point. Its all very well and good, St Johnstone and St Mirren going out and 'buying' players but how many of the players in either of their squads would get a game for us? I'd much rather have a small squad of reasonable talent than a large squad full of shite.

Thought Fitz done OK yesterday, but overall what I would say is that with that formation we looked a helluva lot more solid than in recent weeks. The midfield 3 complimented each other well and covered for one another in a more effective way than when we have played with Murphy isolated on teh left and Humphrey isolated on the right, with the waste of space (cannae rememeber his name again) trying to look fancy 'in the hole'. Another couple of things that I felt were proven yesterday was that Sutton and Murphy are strikers, neither are left-midfielders, Murphy playing behind Sutton is the way to go with Humphery on the right and a midfield 3 protecting the back four but also supplementing the attack. Hately's best position is right-back, he skooshed the game yesterday and I'd be inclined to leave him there for the forseeable and allow Saunders the opportunity to fight it out with Hutchison and Page for the soon-to-be-vacated centre-half role, and potentially 2 if Craggs hangs up his boots at the end of the season. Any money we have available should be used to find a left-sided midfielder, and a striker as I'm not convinced that McHugh or Casa are the answer re back-up for Murphy and Sutton.

I'm all for it. Nae point in being negative towards the guy, he's here now we may as well back him.
