Steven Fletcher is a totally different player from Murphy and Faddy (who I would say are pretty similar in positional terms). Fletcher is an out and out striker, who occasionally comes deep, but Murphy is in a similar situation to that of Faddy in respect that nobody seems to know his best position. Faddy had more natural ability and far more determination/drive than Murphy has, and I fear that Murphy would get lost if he moved to the Premiership.

One of the most bonkers opinions I've seen on here in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I think Murphy is a really good player when on his game, but he isnae a patch on McFadden when he was at Motherwell. Murphy is 21 now, but McFadden was a far more influential player in our side then and he was a full Scotland international at that stage, which I dont think Murphy is ready for, certainly physically. Me and my mate have been watching him specifically all season, and in the 1st half of games he has been senastional at times, come the 2nd half he becomes non-existant in most games, whether thats through tiredness or opponents wising up to him but Faddy was dominating games and taking them by teh scruff of the neck at a younger age than Murphy is now.

From what I've heard the SPL can re-negotiate a new TV deal at the end of this season. The only thing that will stop this (if the rumours are true) is the ridiculous 11-1 voting system in place within the SPL. Sounds like a decent idea, but the greed of the SPL clubs will mean that it wont happen.

Maybe in America, but a load of shite here......you never see my boy, because he's constantly outside with his mates kicking a baw, the only fitba' he sees is when I drag him to Fir Park or force him to watch Scotland on the TV.

But you can say the same over the last 20 years. We've had a smattering of cracking players over the years who have gone onto better things, played for tehir national teams or became legends at our club. Its OK saying that the guys in their 50's are frustrated becasue of teh lack of talent, but there are guys in their 20's who have seen far better players at Fir Park than there are just now.

willing to give the boy a chance but I hope he is able to play on the left-side of midfield. He has hardly kicked a ball in the past 3 seasons and when we played Hivs last season I thought he was largely anonymous. Definitely worth the risk though, and on a 6month deal the risk is minimal.

I reckon that I could fill a 50-seat bus with people I know that used to attend regularly that have either chucked it altogether or only attend the bigger matches.
