Its one thing taking the Juke or Ruddy from Everton on loan, but its a whole different ball game taking a player on loan from another club in the same league. I was completely against the loan signing of Calum Elliot and Slane would fall into the same category, but would enhance my annoyance at this practice given his 'previous' with us. Yes we may benefit in the short-term, but it would ultimately be Cellic and the player who would gain in the long-term. If the wee cretin arrives at Fir Park on loan (which lets face it, wont happen anyway), then it will be a bad day.

Partridge was God awful.......and Lappin ahead of Hammel
-
Slane is a c**t, a horrible, wee, ginger, plook-faced c**t that fucked us over. McCart is a wank as well. If Slane came back to us on loan, my season book would be going back to the ticket office. No way should we have him on loan and ultimately benefitting Cellic in the long run.

You sure about that? I thought the seeded teams would be given the advantage of the home tie in the 2nd leg?
-
Jumping the gun (more than a wee bit here) but does anybody know that it if we make it to the play off round will we likely be home or away 1st, I take it we will be unseeded in that draw?

A striker is a necessity, and should be our priority. The Juke would've scored a 1st half hat-trick last night.

Its a bit of a relief that we have something sorted out

Thursday Excitement - Teams/Hopes/Fears

If there are 4k tickets sold so far, we'll easily get over 5k at the game. I for one am going over today to buy 4 tickets and I know that most of my mates dont have tickets yet but are going to the game as well. We are a stick-on to start with the same team and formation that started at Ayr on Saturday (provided everyone is fit), if we are struggling though I'd like to see Broon stick McHugh on a lot earlier than he did against Ayr. I'd even be tempted to start him up front with Sutton and play Murphy on the left rather than Forbes and take it to the part-timers on both wings, with Humphrey on the right (I hope to fuck he has been practicing his crosses though). I am pretty nervous about the game and that is unusual for me, I didnt like what I seen at Somerset although that may have been due to Broons instructions not to get stuck in too much, but at 12's the part-time mob must be due a wee 5er to win. -
Just back from the game, 300 0r so 'well fans at the game, and probably another 100 or so ho stayed in the pubs . Absolutely terrible performance, really really poor. Best player in Motherwell colours was Steven Saunders who played at right back, that apart it took until McHugh came on witha bout 10mins to go to actually make us look threatening. The kid has got to start on Thursday. I have a real fear about Thursday now to be honest, the Icelanders will be far fitter than us and will be far fitter than the Ayr boys were today. Hammel got taken off 10mins into the 2nd half and can onky presume he picked up some sort of knock. Humphrey was pretty frustrating, great pace and workrate but doesnt pick the correct option very often and his crossing could be improved. Forbes again played on the left of a 4-man midfield and it was as plain as day that he cant play there - far too slow to play wide. Sutton and Murphy were industrious but played as two single players rather than a partnership and neither player had any real chances in front of goal. If we play like that on Thursday, we'll struggle badly. Shuker and Gazapo were nowhere to be seen.

I understand that ESPN hold the ace cards but before they know it, they'll be hosting 'live' matches in front of stadiums that are even emptier than they are just now. I, for one, wont be able to attend and neither will my son (his 1st year as a season book holder) because of other commitments, added to this, what sort of support will Hivs bring through? Fuck all because they can sit in the house/pub and watch it instead. Football is fucked!!
-
understand that....but season ticket money will continue to go down if people get treated like shite and changing the opening game of teh season to a 12noon kick-off on a sunday is treating people like shite IMO.
-
somebody needs their baws kicked at the SPL for this pish. Sunday at noon is a diabolical time to watch a game of fitba'

Naw, that dickhead would've been me taking a photo of the decorator

Jesus. I forgot about that. Last time I drink buckie!!

I think I've already qualified that I think he is unfit and needs to work on this and his pace over the summer. In his 1st season with the 1st team he scored a barrel-load between the Summer and Christmas and then fell away to fuck, but remember this was his debut season and if he has any sense he will have realised that he couldnt hack it physically and work towards remedying this. He may have burst onto the scene too quickly and his fall from grace may have effected his confidence more than it would have if he hadnt started so spectacularly. Wishing that he had joined the polis after seeing him for 1 season, half of which he excelled in, but I havent a clue?.....bloody hell
-
Agree with that, he's really got to step up his work-rate and pace this season or the writing will be on the wall, but on his day last season he was fantastic. I'm hopeful that he'll have realised that he was short of both in his debut season and will work on this over the summer. Agree with the formation thing as well, looked smashing as part of a 5 and poor as part of a four (particularly when he was shoved wide for some unknown, mental reason) so again thats something that he needs to prove to the fans this season that he can be part of a 2-man centre-midfield pair.
-
Have the opinion all you want, I'm of the opinion you havent a clue. He looks to me like a player that plays well when he is full of confidence, when that confidence gets shattered he looks pish.
-
More than a tad!! Yes, he was pish for most of the time after Christmas, but he's a player that on his day and with a wee bit of self-confidence can score goals that not many other people in our team can. Needs to work on his stamina and pace and I'm sure JP is working with him on that over the Summer. Honestly, some folk on here havent a clue

Definitely nae buses going? I fancy going up for both but can't be fucked driving!!

I think they have managed to get their Sheffield teams mixed up.....

Ordered mine (and the boys) last Wednesday and recieved it via Royal Mail on Friday, which I thought was pretty excelent from MFC.

The SPL season doesnt start for weeks yet, plenty of time to make our signings. If you look around the other clubs there have been hardly any moves in the transfer market as of yet. 20/1 may sound like decent odds, but when I look at other teams in the league such as Killie and St Mirren, then I come to the conclusion that 10th is worst case scenario for us this season and thats only if the likes of Accies, ICT and St Johnstone improve. Nae danger we'll be in 12th spot come the end of the year.
-
Not a hope in hell we'll get relegated. Not a fucking chance. Accies, Killie, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Inverness will all finish below us as per usual, Aberdeen will have a c**t of a season again unless they get rid of their cuntfaced manager. I dont expect Hearts to be any great shakes, whilst Hibs hardly won a game from Christamas until the end of the season and United will have to re-build with the likelihood of their best players being sold. I'll re-iterate again, we have no chance of being relegated..
