Getting a bit ahead of myself here but if, as expected, Dundee United do the business on Saturday. What round of the Europa League do we go into and when is this likely to be played, and when is the draw likely to be?
-
Nae brainer. Ruddy for me - the best goalkeeper I've seen at Fir Park, and the best goalkeeper in the SPL this season!!
-
No letter. Not expecting 1. Will re-new and give my details........ again. Maybe my postman is a useless cvnt
-
At least you got a renewal letter . For some reason after God knows how many seasons as a ST holder, I've still never had ANY postal correspondence from the Club. They must know that I'm that daft that I'll renew regardless

End Of The Line For Canterbury?
ONeils40yarder replied to sieb_dystras_barmy_army's topic in Club Chat
Great move from the Club, in my opinion. It will hopefully get a good few extra bums on seats and get the kids into the habit of supporting the Club. Personally though, I'll be buying an adult and child for the East as I hate sitting behind the goals. -
I've been saying for months that both Old Firm clubs must be monitoring Ruddy. They would need their heads read if they didnt look at players who are excelling in our league. Either of the Gruesome twosome could punt their current Number 1's, who are both more trouble than they are worth, and sign Ruddy at a fraction of the fee they would recieve and at a far lesser salary. I would love to see him stay, but his performances this season will have the vultures circling and put him way out of our reach.

How do you work out that he's had a 'great few seasons'? He hardly kicked a ball under McGhoo and only started to show any sort of talent this season. He flatters to decieve the vast majority of the time, can't cross and can't shoot. As someone has already said, its far more important to keep the likes of Jennings and Hateley than O'Brien.
-
Correct. He made his choice and should stick with it. As I said though its all theoretical anyway.
-
I'm with you Big Tache, he's a prick for playing for Eire in the 1st place . Not a hope in hell of him getting a look in anyway, what would Craig Levein gain by picking a winger that cannae cross or shoot?
-
I seriously worry about anybody who could defend that muppet thats been in goals for us over the past couple of weeks. He's a disaster that has already happened. I wont abuse him at games as that does nothing for me, him or the team but if he is in goals next year then I am not looking forward to watching 38 games through the cracks in my fingers everytime he's called into duty. I'd loved to be proven wrong, and he turns out to be a star turn for us, but there is more chance of Alan Brazil going for a pint with Jim Torbett.

I'd assume, he's talking about the 2 games that the mongo has been in goals recently? Cellic away, and Dundee United at home. Yes the defence never covered itself in glory at the Piggery but the mongo was culpable for both goals as he showed indecision on whether (and he should have) or not to come for the ball each time. Ruddy would have come for and claimed both imo. On Sunday, he had a total fucking howler from start to finish, regardless of the goals (and I beleive he was at the very least partly to blame for all 3) he was erratic at best and was like a human wrecking ball at times, and sadly it was only our players that he seemed intent on wrecking. He seems like a half-decent shot-stopper (although didnt look like that at the 3rd on Sunday), but the fact that he cant deal with cross balls into the box renders the mongo useless, he also inspires no confidence in the defence. Maybe we have been spoilt by Ruddy this season, as he is the most assured (and re-assuring) goalkeeper I've seen at Firry in 20-odd years of supporting the 'well, but if we dont make a goalkeeper a priority signing next season then this buffoon could single-handedly see us relegated. After Broons comments regarding the performance on Sunday I reckon he realises that Fraser is never an SPL level goalkeeper.

We never ever take a good crowd to the OF games these days due to all of the reasons already stated. I was in the manky end with a free ticket and thats the only way that I'll be at Parkhead or Ibrox in the forseeable future, I wouldnt give the bastards the money, even though Id had no dinner I still refused the delights of their pie stall. Thats my real reason for not going regularly to Glasgow games, but when I add up the cash i've spent on following the 'well this season it must run into a couple of grand, season ticket, flights to Romania, trip to Wales, spending money, domestic away trips, strips for the kids. So I feel absolutely no guilt at not making the 10mile journey from Bellshill to Glasgow on a regular basis.

How Much Would You Pay To Watch Motherwell At Home?
ONeils40yarder replied to andybug's topic in Club Chat
I'd be happy to pay £20 as long as I got the boy in for free. I think thats what MFC have to look at, letting a kid in for free with every full paying adult. -
That would put the tin lid on it for me!! There would be no chance of me renewing my season book if that erse was at my Club in any capacity, and Im sure I woudnt be alone.
-
If there was more than 15,000 there then I'm Alan Brazil and Jim Torbetts love child.
-
Ruddy would have come for both balls into the box that lead to goals and took them fairly easily, thats the difference. I was sitting in the Cock Stein Stand last night sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the odious cretins, absolutely bricking it every time they got a corner or got close to the bye-line because I had no faith what-so-ever in Fraser coming to take the cross. If/when Ruddy goes, we must get a new goalkeeper as a priority. The defence never covered themselves in glory at both goals but the goalkeeper was culpable to say the least.
-
Craigan for me, had a cracking match up until he was subbed and we sort of fell to bits when he had to go off. Hateley was really poor in my opinion.
-
800k-a-year? Get to fuck, he's never earned that in any job that he has done before. Your source is pulling your wire.
-
....and the lucky mascot does it again
-
even though I didnt think it was a straight red, Im surprised that they have downgraded it.
-
Imagine losing to a team who's defence included Frazer Wright, David Lilley and Ryan O'Leary. Red neck. I'm taking the lucky mascot tomorrow so there shouldnt be a repeat.
-
That might well be the case, but there may also be a lot of truth in it as well. Ruddy has proven in the SPL that he is a top-notch young goalie, Everton seem happy to let him go for a small(ish) fee, Boruc isnt as good as he was etc etc. Its not outwith the realms of possibility for Cellic to sniff about our top talents is it?
-
Fcuking thieving gypo scummy bastards at it again!!

You're having a laugh. Maybe when Hartley was at Hearts versus Hateley at the moment you would have a point. But, Hartley at the moment versus Hateley at the moment is a no-brainer. As it stands though I dont think he is eligible so its all theoretical.
