what time is the kick-off? To be honest I can't believe the negativity that is surrounding this game, regardless of what it is for, or what Man United players (household names or not) will be there, how often will we see players of that ability at Fir Park? Had a quick look on the online booking page, and it seems to me that the Main Stand and Cooper stand are sold out? Either that or they aren't open. Or am I reading it wrong?

Don't think we are in a position to ask for an apology or retraction from the press, due to the 'other' stuff that we have put our hands up for. The Club would look pretty stupid.

The Sunday Mail stated yesterday that there were sectarian chants of 'f**ian b@stards' from the 'well support as well as the 'paedophile' chants. Today, the Daily Record (the Sunday Mails sister paper) mention nothing of sectarianism. What does that tell me? That the journos have made a mistake, in their claim of bigotry from the away fans. We are in no position to 'pull' the papers up for their error but please can we stop going on about the sectarian chants because they quite simply never happened at Pittodrie. The paedo chants are another story, but we're going round and round in circles with this one as well. Some people thought it was the best way to annoy McGhoo and it worked, others thought that it over-stepped the mark. Their will be no inquest from the SFA, SPL or whoever as no laws have been contravened as well as the fact that other clubs fans (rangers and celtic) sing much worse. So lets leave it at that. I liked Steve Diggles, 'Mark McGhee's a prostitute' song and might try and give that an airing when the sheep arrive at Fir Park.

I hope to fuck there is a good crowd. I know its not really Man United that we are playing but even their reserves should command a healthy attendance at FP.

sweeping statement that!! I've managed it and the wee man sits through 90minutes (of pure pish sometimes) without a problem. He'll even quite happily watch a full game on TV with me, although he did ask for the Scotland v Norway game to get switched over .

My wee boy is 5 in October, and has been going semi-regularly since the week before his 2nd birthday, a 5-0 romp over Killie in teh Malpish season. He's been to about 20/25 games over the 3 years and he is totally hooked on all things MFC and watches the whole game without a problem, I've even took him to the odd away game and he's been a mascot at home. So it really depends on the kid. We sit in the East Stand and always sit at the end of the row, so that we dont irritate anybody as he sometimes has to sit on my knee. He's unbeaten in the league but has seen us beaten by Dundee in the cup and Llanelli and Steaua in the Europa. As I say he's totally hooked on MFC, even to the extent that he was nearly greeting after I suggested (in jest) that he should support somebody else after we got beat off Llanelli. Now to get cracking on his wee brother. The kids are the future of our club, so we need to make sure they take the 'correct' path from an early age.

I still think we need someone in at centre-half rather than right back. After Craigan, Reynolds and Hutchison - we have no cover apart from Page, who I know nothing about. If we get one of those three injured, then we could be in soapy bubble.

Rhys Murphy of Arsenal is the latest name that my 'source', who got it so wrong with Anthony Stokes, is claiming we are interested in.

As I say, I'm not sure how much I believe but the rumour is rife in sheep-shaggerland. They are talking of raking in over 1.5million for the pair, which is crazy money considering that the two of them aren't great.

Heard a rumour today that Diamond and Miller of Aberdeen are potentially signing for Norwich and Middlesboro respectively, for over 1.5million (which I find hard to believe). If it happens, I wouldnt be surprised to see McGhoo trying to take some players off our hands.

do you know if he ever shat himself at school? Thats usually your reasoning behind hating 'big-headed' footballers. Slane is a cracking wee player, that we are going to be able to enjoy watching for the next few seasons and he will then (hopefully) make the club a small fortune when he moves on. I've actually met him once and he was the quietest person you could have spoken too, totally embarassed that Motherwell fans wanted to talk to him.

I went to Wales and Romania, and had a great time from what I can remember. Bucharest was a really nice city, in comparison to what I imagined it to be anyway, and the locals were as friendly as you could have wanted, beer and food was cheap and the weather was great. Llanelli, was a great trip, the locals (authorities included) couldnt have done more for us and made it a memorable trip. ..........and we made the poor bastards come to Airdrie.
