Amazing Story From The Past...if True!
ONeils40yarder replied to Well Up For It!'s topic in Club Chat
craig bryson of Killie also got dumped. Was Fletcher signed to Motherwell?? -
I don't know how anybody can say we are the worst in the league; in my work there are Hibs, Aberdeen, Falkirk, Hearts, both OF, and they all talk about how bad the atmosphere is at their grounds and how quickly they turn on their own players. Hearts and Falkirk seem to be pretty bad at barracking their own players, but we as 'well fans won't really hear that happening, David Obua got it in our 1-0 win against the jambos a few weeks ago. Even the OF fans, top2 in the league every year, but listen to most of their fans and they will say they are shite and their managers haven't a clue. I say that we aren't any worse than most other fans in the league, and when we are good, we can be awesome as some of the posters have already said, Nancy etc.

whats the chances of changing the name of this thread again? Please let the game be on this time.
-
don't think we can doubt his importance anymore, since he's been back we have looked so much more solid and confident at the back
-
thought Porter had a really good game, albeit against the oldest centre-half pairing in industry. Looked like a dreadful miss in the 2nd half, but overall thought he was stand-out.
-
fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!! Was looking forward to getting finished at 12 today FUCK
-
Eh??? I think the clue is in the 'manager' word. When Crags went off, it would be fair to say that MMG should be looking at re-organising his defence. Especially at free-kicks, corners etc.
-
I thought he had a decent game, defended well, helped out the midfield when going forward but his distribution, particularly in the closing stages was poor.
-
well since we're cursing at each other now, what about the two that he 'fucking' swung in to the 'fucking', 'danger' area where no 'fucking' motherwell players were attacking?
-
I thought Quinns distribution was terrible, particularly in the 2nd half when we were chasing the game. O'Briens free-kicks were woeful as well.
-
Correct!!!! I'm no bigot, but I hate those who continue the bigotry a la Celtic and Rangers fans. I can't take to Jim O'Brien because he has decided he's Irish when really he is nothing of the sort. He had an OK game yesterday, but his distribution was hellish (again), it was that bad he ran Paul Quinn close on worst distributio on the park

Anyhow. Back on topic . I reckon JOB has started to prove his doubters wrong, he's had a few good performances and is looking better match by match. Still got a fair bit to go to prove that he really is the real deal, he does need to work on his final ball, but he is still a young boy after all. I completely agree with this statement regarding Jim, he has looked better game by game, but needs to improve a few aspects of his game before he'll get a standing ovation off me.

Anybody who knows me, knows that I have the same degree of contempt for both halves of the OF. I regard myself as a Scottish Motherwell fan, have no time for religion, both sides of my family have roots in Southern Ireland also, and certainly wouldn't class myself as British. My annoyance at these people who decide to play for another country comes from the pride that I have in my country, and teh fact that I would cut my right bollock off to have a chance to play for Scotland at any sport. I would be a hypocrite if I said that what O'Brien (and McLean) have done isn't as bad (in my eyes) as what McGeady, McCarthy have done. As for Tommy Coyne? He waited a fair while on a Scotland call-up and even asked the SFA what his chances were (as did Ray Houghton), before defecting. Again this isn't something I would do and can'y understand how you can be Irish (or any other nationality) and Scottish.
-
Naw, because International football and club football differ. Club football is a job and you get paid to do it, International football is an honour in which you are selected in a squad of the best football players from your country to represent the whole nation, granted you get some sort of payment but thats not what its about. Your club is a choice (and you have made the right one ), while your country shouldn't be. If Jim O'Brien wasnt a football player I bet you he'd be one of those cretins that follow Cellic draped in the tri-colour of Ireland singing songs about potatoes and the 'old country', thats why I struggle to take to him.
-
I must admit I am one of those who dislikes Jim O'Brien for playing fro RoI because he is Scottish.........does that make me a bigot??? If it does then fcuk it, thats the way I feel, anybody who turns their back on my country is a t1t, IMO. In my eyes he is in the same category as McGeady and McCarthy in that respect. I must admit though, he is looking better by the game (although that wouldnt be hard as he has been atrocious at times) but I can't understand the clamour to give him standing ovations and MOTM awards when they haven't been deserved.

Aww for fuxake, me anaw. Hills had us at 2/9 for saturdays game, if I can get that then I might put some decent cash on it.
-
Forres were humped 6-1 by the mighty Forfar who are 6th in the 3rd division. The standard of the HFL is worse than the top junior leagues down here and if Motherwell don't beat Inverurie it will be the worst result in our history - bar none.
-
No way - surely thats worth lumping some serious cash on? Best I seen was 2/9 for saturdays cancelled game.
-
Anybody know what odds we are to win on Wednesday in Inverurie?
-
He's absolutely terrible, all the Hibs fans I know can't believe another SPL team have took him on.
-
Looking for 2 tickets, possibly 3. Anyone fancy selling me them???????
-
Whats the best way to get my mitts on a ticket? Through the club, this board or chancing my arm up there?
-
Aye, there is a good chance that this could drag on and on and on and on
