  1. macdonald was superb, especially considering his size, lack of support upfront and the quality of balls he received. brilliant wee player. mccormack was great, clearly destined for better things. mcfadden was a joy to watch. don't know what he is doing at birmingham. rangers or celtic should take a punt on him. clarkson improved a lot in the last couple of seasons, will be interesting to see how he gets on down south.
  2. It's not rocket science is it? Motherwell are never going to turn down a reasonable offer for a player. Although the way things are going we might not have any players left! When you think of all the players that have left over the last few season, makes you wonder what a team we could have had. SmitH, Quinn, Clarkson, McCormack, Hughes....not to mention O'Donnell
  3. surely you should be nipping in to see dougie in the thacket!
  4. He's going to need to use all his skills to get a team together. The squad sounds more depleted by the day.
  5. Hopefully he will get the service that his intelligent running requires. Didn't get much last season and still bagged a respectable number of goals.
  6. So with so many people voting that we are in the bottom six, what can be done about it? How about a singing section? The introduction of new songs would certainly help. I wasn't lucky enough to be in Nancy (lucky old Ronald) but my mates said the variety of songs and atmosphere was worth the trip alone. Most fans have more of a sing-song away from home, must be something to do with being the underdog or being out-numbered. And Well fans have a good song-song and a laugh away from home, especially away to either of the Old Firm. The 1-1 draw at Ibrox a couple of years ago was great with the 'shall we win the league for you' chants. Some new songs and a singing area would be my suggestion for the future.
  7. I don't agree with shirts being retired. I accept the arguments of those that say shirts should be retired, but life goes on. Look at Manchester United and their classic number 7's - Best, Robson, Cantona, Beckham and Ronaldo. You could easily have said that the short should have been retired after any one of those. Or in memory of Best after his death. But life goes on. As for retiring the shirt in memory of Phil, is the naming of a stand not enough?
