  1. So basically screw the unemployed? you will be spoilt for choice come the general election.
  2. Agree with all the negative and the positive comments.. He is great one on one and poor with catching crosses etc. However when have we ever had a keeper on our books outwith loans who could do both in recent times?? I worry its a commodity we cant afford.
  3. I would much rather have won the cup than all this nonsense to be honest.
  4. With a loss of around 200k in revenue from this, I would like to see compensation from the spl. Some free european tickets for season ticket holders wouldn't be bad either!
  5. Whatever happens our defensive line-up is n for a bit of change over the next season or so. Craigan cant have much more than a season maybe two left reynolds will be off and we dont really have a right back in place at the moment.... unless Hately really makes it his own, hasnt done himsel any harm so far it has to be said.
  6. BBC sport confirm if utd win the cup and finish 3rd... 5th gets europe. they said "we are almost positive"
  7. Im almost positive it has to be celic v dundee utd in the final for 5th place to get a euro spot. If its Celtic v Raith then raith would qualify for europe. If its Dundee Utd v Ross County then County would qualify. If its Raith v Ross County then the winner qualifies.
  8. Regardless. Are there not inherent water level problems that negate any possibility of lovely green grass all year round, no matter what we spend on it?
  9. Well thats what I mean... We have this gradient problem that wreaks havok with the pitch each year... yet we persist with it (possibly due to being to traditional about the pitch being grass) when surely the common sense solution is to plum for an artificial pitch.
  10. I saw this and started to think it was maybe a bit baffling we havent opted for an artificial pitch before, given the unsolvable pitch problems we have. Do we shirk common sense in favour of traditionalism too much?
  11. I would be over the moon with Hummel. Our Hummel strip is the definitive motherwell strip for me, thats what we wore when I started supporting. Can see you point about the overuse of the chevron. In our previous kit it was nicely understated. I think a wee flash of black somewhere on the claret and amber is awesome Discussing football kits is probably the only time talking about clothes doesnt sound gay...
  12. So its looking more likely now that Hearts will complete the top six... saving grace is their poor goal difference... could pan out to be vital.
  13. My preference is most certainly with St J getting into the top six - it would mean more chance of 3 home games as opposed to 2. Someone mentioned earlier that a possible crunch trip to tynecastle would not be ideal. I agree. It would also mean Dundee UTD are still in reach.
  14. I see Forbes as a future replacement for Lasley. He is young, still needs time, but he will be ready when the time comes as long as he isnt alienated by sections of the support. Criticising him at this point is beyond ridiculous - everyone has seen his talent earlier in the season so that should be enough for now.
  15. Our record towards the business end of the season hasn't been great in the past. So there is cause for concern. To me, I think we are starting to look like a tired team.. we started the season over a month before everyone else and I think we have all but finished it a month before everyone else. There is also plenty of reason for optimism. We still have the quality to compete come the split and by then we will know exactly what we have to do to get into europe which I think will spur us on and see us over the finish line. I also don't think we have lost form so much so that we cant at least hold the position we are in now until the end of the season.
  16. You clearly cant judge a players ability. Any time I see you post something Im going to skip it. You have been venting out bile about all our players just cause we havent won in two games. Have you forgotten we went 12 unbeaten. I suggest you spend your weekends fingerpainting from now on, possibly in the safety of a mental ward somewhere because you have nothing valuable to contribute. Ruddy was kicking better than Fraser even with his injury until Hammel had to take the kicks. (not that Frasers kicking was all that awful tbh, it was just something I noticed, other than that he was good)
  17. Because we hardly played through the midfield... we kept lumping it forward to the smallest man on he park (though I'm not criticising murphy!)
  18. I thought the accuracy on Frasers kicks was fairly woeful - he made two good saves - well done for that much, but Ruddy stays till at least 5th is secure (as long as 5th is a euro slot) - then it will be time to experiment - for all its worth considering thats what we have pre-season friendlies for.
  19. It wasn't his day. He played out of position. The state of the pitch all but put paid to the talents he does have. Its his first season and he is entitled to be tired. Lay off him he wont always be that bad - criticise only if he is consistently that poor. DONE
  20. It will be interesting to see the profits next year! Given we built a team on frees and lower wages that was probably not expected to make the top 6 at the start of the season. I would imagine we have made the absolute best of a reasonably bad situation.
  21. No surprises Hearts pretty much have the same record as both Us and Celtic combined. Should be docked points.
  22. Assuming the top six is going to be rangers, celtic, hibs, united, hearts and ourselves.... does anyone know which of these games will be played at home? I was guessing the dundee and celtic games would be the home games?
  23. really starting to wish there was some way of appealing these awful decisions on offside goals against us. Really dont think that one was offside. Completely changes the complexion of the game. I DEMAND A RE-MATCH!
