  1. why not? that's what I paid in Nancy just an extreme opinion, i'm not a drooling moron, i know that isn't happening
  2. Hearing all this just confirms it all for me. Tickets to home games are about 4 times the price they should be - the match day experience has a long way to go before it can live up to the price. The amount of simple things that could be done to improve it (rather than shitty ideas over the mascots) is unreal. I really hope our club are the first to get their act together in this country and do something sensible to compete with sky subscriptions and trips to the cinema. Maybe by the time I have a kid old enough to attend I will be able to treat him/her to a proper day out at the fitba. If the current trend continues, we are off to the Vue.
  3. I also agree with everything in Dee's post except from the use of the words 'seen' and 'done' in place of 'saw' and 'did' - a fine opinion ruined by a failed comprehension of past tense. I propose english challenges for kids at half time to stimulate their young well fan minds. Get them playing blockbuster, we can even put the scoreboard to good use. Claret and Amber could be quizmasters!
  4. Just so I'm clear... you want a mascot that will 'shock and awe' under 10's and be confrontational yet stoic while acknowledging a post-industrial throwback history while performing the function of a walking advertising whore.... and I piss gold while my shites sing la bamba - keep the bears, maybe update their outfits, give them some sort of narrative that kids can connect with, have them visit some hospitals and fire their mugs on some bedspreads.
  5. Does make you wonder what the going rate is for a keeper with as many shut-outs as him at the moment
  6. Any reason why this was just a one off?
  7. I'm sure it's been mentioned but Stephen Hughes has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. I'm guessing it means nothing to us seeing as we are probably quite well covered in that position.... could Paw Broon be after him?
  8. I have the feeling that any striker signings will be a loanee in the next window and will be someone who hasn't broken through into their own club.
  9. Can't believe they omitted it myself, among other things the BBC have done in their coverage of todays game.
  10. Far far far far far too early for this thread. I haven't been impressed with him at all so far but I'm not crying about it yet ffs! Try and remember where we are in the league. He needs a goal or two to settle for sure, hopefully they will both come against Clyde. My only worry is that all he is, is a target man. Let's give it till Christmas before we spit the dummy though.
  11. I'm actually in a state of shock that the BBC has us on 45% possession. Did I have the blinkers on today or is that right????!
  12. No. Our tippy tappy deteriorated as the game went on and heads went down. First half we were knocking it about perfectly. Of course they looked more likely to score... they HAVE creative flair. Penalty from a blatant hand ball, don't try and tell me that was ball to hand. He controlled it with his arm. Maybe 3 nil didnt flatter them in the sense that they scored on the break and played to do that. My point really was that we dominated the play from start to finish and it was ONLY our inability to penetrate that meant they COULD pick us off the way they did. Again, IF we had more creative flair, Rangers would have struggled... cause they were pish.
  13. With the players we have, I dont think we did much wrong, that creative flare was all that was missing. On a different day we would of found ourselves 2-0 up, particularly had we got our penalty, and it would have been a very different game. We didnt get the breaks, Rangers did, once that happened it was all over. 3 nil flattered that team. If we get infront of this mob at any time this year, we have the talent to see it out. It was tippy tappy, but where we used to be completely incapable of stringing two passes together, we are now the best passing side in the league. It's just that creative flare thats missing

    David Kelly

Sure we called him Ned Kelly too
  15. I agree with Juan Kerse... I wouldnt be too upset if nobody came in. Now that we have points on the board I have few worries about our squad this season and have no problem with youngsters stepping in when the time comes. We have a real chance to develop what we have now. We are a month in and already about a third of the way to what might be considered an spl safe tally. So basically fuck it, why not
  16. Now that's just extreme. St Mirren are just another team, we don't need to hate them with such vigour do we? Have you thought about anger management?
  17. Typical BBC radio coverage, talking about how well Hutchison has slotted in to fill Saunders role in central defence... I should think so! He is a first team regular ahead of Saunders! Hutch has been the revelation we fully expected he would be and that's the credit he gets. Pfft.
  18. I should think so. Murphy's goal and the two red card incidents have been on SSN, along with Craig Brown talking pish and Hearts' new chap congratulating the league leaders.
  19. Though I agree, Craigan did get caught for pace badly with Driver almost getting through early on, we got away with it. Law threaded it through a needle to Murph! Disagree about Humph, he didnt frustrate me, one amazing cros was landed plum on Murphs head as he headed over.
  20. Great display today, we really showed our passing class while they were a man down. To pick on our best and worst, I agree with a few others - Hateley had a great game and worked well on the overlap with Humph.... for that reason I want Forbes or Carswell in to replace Lasley next week. Hateley is proving an asset at RB. Higdon had a couple of brilliant touches and was caught miles offside and out of the game on a couple of occassions - so I will leave it for everyone else to draw the conclusions on his contribution today. Black is a dirty wee ned.
  21. Pretty sure its going to be a hard fought battle today... lots of goals...maybe...
  22. Did we give up on Robbie Fowler?
  23. Rave & Motherwell in one book - sweet!. I've been writing about rave subculture on film for uni this week myself - just by the way.
  24. Partick Thistle in the draw? Ide have them away.
