Nick Walsh is the referee for this. For every free kick he gives us in the final third of the pitch I'll donate £20 to charity. We sat off them at Hampden earlier in the season and conceded early. When we put more attacking emphasis on them in the second half we caused plenty of problems but a great save denied us a point late on. I know it was a closed door friendly but we pumped a strong Gers side on the international break over a month ago. Aberdeen showed us last night what to do, the side contain the likes of Barron, Souttar, McAusland et al some absolute guff compared to the quality we have beat convincingly in the past. -
Ft - great result.

Games available to purchase on Dundee United TV or whatever they call it. 12.99, don't recall it being advertised.

Dundee United have been enjoying some great form this season, they had the wee blip in September where they lost twice on the bounce to Rainjurs and ourselves. They also managed to score quite a few late goals which saw them rescue a point at Killie and pick up a win against Hibernian before losing to Aberdeen on Saturday with a late goal themselves. Wednesday will be a tough task but I fancy us to take something from the game. It'll be interesting to see how we line up, I'd assume Casey will come in for Gordon and maybe even a debut for Koutrombus if Kaletas is injured. It's not like Kettlewell to make wholesale changes but I can see him bringing Robinson back into the side and maybe even Seddon just to keep it fresh for Sunday.

I thought we came out the traps flying, pressing them and it was nice to see them start nervy with a few mistakes. Shame Stama couldn't get the ball out of under his feet to score from Scales error but Miller was unfortunate his effort cracked the post. His free kick was tremendous but a shame it wasn't a foot lower, early days in the game but you start to think it's not your day. We seemed to restrict them to very little in the first half but they got the vital goal. I love watching Scottish football but it's really depressing to think no one can really lay a glove on a team with Liam Scales and Auston Trusty as a centre back partnership, a guy who was part of one of the worst defenses in EPL history.

Seen the bug eyed prick kicking about as well. Least we avoid the frustration of seeing him bossing about our pitch after his Scotland performances. I'd take winning 0-0 the now.

The club is currently weighing up what to do with the POD stand due to the H and S issues that have recently arisen. 2 Mill to repair or 4 mill to build a new stand and it'll most likely be under his watch. Fair point but there was quite a lot of footage of the Celtic fans trying to barge open the fire escapes back when we played the first fixture at Fir Park last season, usually they have a steward manning the door but it was the police that was stopping them from opening it from the outside. The next time they visited they made them all go through a big zig-zag queuing system before you get past the big gates but I'm not sure if any incidents occurred. I'd love it if we pumped them.

Surely we would have the exact specs of what we need for replacing seating within that stand squirreled away safely somewhere but it doesn't surprise me after the issues we faced with the East Stand under his project management. I'm sure I read somewhere that clubs are only expected to pay up to £25,000 for any damage their fans cause, I wonder why our stadium gets hit worse than others. I truly hate when the bigots come to town but saying that it's quite sad how many stay in a stones throw proximity to Fir Park. We performed well against them in every fixture last season suffering two late sickeners at Fir Park but managing to score a late equaliser at Parkhead. I always tend to hope that they're a bit sluggish after we play them right after a European game but they never seem to be. We will need a massive improvement upon last week to get anything from this game, I would love to see some changes in the side but I'd wager that it's only going to be either Robinson or Stama that drops out.

That was really frustrating, I thought it was a fairly even game, lovely through ball by Halliday early on presented a great chance for Robinson but the Dee defender done well with his last gasp challenge. We had a few other potential breaks in the first half but each was painfully short by Miller and we ended up conceding not long after one was intercepted. I said at half time I was surprised the ref played on as Halliday was on the ground holding his head long before the ball ended up in the net after a collision with a team mate. It felt like we were moving the ball about too slow constantly and when we tried to force the issue the long balls were generally easily dealt with. I thought the ref was letting them away with quite a bit esph the shirt pulling while at the same time being overly protective of the wee number 10. It felt like one of those days we could have played another 90 and not scored. Hopefully Stamas injury isn't too bad.

Stama going off injured again. Surprised the ref played on with Halliday holding his head for the Dundee goal.

Nice to be back to the real stuff. The three points would be most welcome esph since we play Sellick next week. Not suprised we only have that one change with Casey coming in for McGinn, I would have loved to have seen Kaleta getting a run out as I've been impressed by what I've seen so far. Gutted that Dundee have dropped Big Earnie McCracken in goal as he is an absolute bomb scare.
