Not to shabby a performance so far. Lovely link up play for the goal between Spittal and Slattery, how the linesman thought that was offside was shocking. I take it the handball rules not as loose this season as Peter Harings hand was just off by his side when he handled, we got stung for less at Tynecastle last year. If he doesn't touch it would have put Casey or I think Spencer in a great position.

TBF I think he was just a clumsy big guy nothing sinister in that. But on the subject the guy that ended up with a broken beek in that game elbowed Moult in the face earlier in the game which caused him to get stitches right across his brow but that elbow was brushed under the carpet always annoyed me as that was a great game but all emphasis was put on that moment. It was sad to see that challenge from Dunne, flew right into that challenge with the intention of taking the guy out.

So frustrating. I think last season must have been one of the worst injury lists I've ever seen us suffer and yet here we are only three weeks into this campaign and going down a similar route. It's a real shame Mika fell foul to a St Midden hatchet man, when Dunne put that sort of challenge in for us he always ended up out injured. The next week or so is going to be interesting.

They have some record in recent times. I remember us beating them at Love St when Clarkson and a young Darren Smith scored in ET. Then later in the season we were pumped 3-0 but perhaps worth forgetting that as they were in the league below at the time as well. A Jim Gannon team also lost 3-0 to them, a week earlier we drew 3-3 in a league tie as well. Then we have had that 4-4 draw then lost on pens and not to mention Billy Mehmet knocking us out in a replay. It's not going great atm as we have had one shot in the 35 minutes.

How often do the young guys release a fanzine? Sounds like beef that they have had since the Sligo game. I've seen a few fans of other clubs mention that they requested not to be in one of his videos for whatever reason but he did so anyway. Hibs done really well last night it was a far better performance to the recent efforts against the Andorran outfit away and St Mirren. I must say though I throughly enjoyed the last 20 minutes where both sides kicked the crap out of each other. You look at Hibs attacking line and no question it can cause problems but at the other end they have been quite suspect now. Hopefully Thursday's exploits have taken their toll and hopefully we can get the three points.

I know Kettlewell has exhausted the statement in interviews but Scott Burns mentioned the other day that he wants new additions but no more will be added until some players are moved on.

Yeah, totally agree with that. To paraphrase one of his comments I'm sure he said he hasn't done anything to prove he is a professional-level footballer despite playing in the MLS, tempting a club to spend money on him in our league, getting capped at international level and finally our management team signing him.

It's not a luxury we are afforded anymore due to the high turn around of players in this league. By all accounts the young guy is getting rave reviews from Arsenal fans so hopefully he can make a great impression at senior level. A teenage Anthony Stokes went from Arsenal to Falkirk in the SPL without playing a senior game and smashed it.

You're correct that it's great to have this forum to discuss all things Motherwell but your posts on the matter are coming across like you're having a bit of a meltdown over this particular transfer. Generally, you're a poster that seems quite reasonable but in this instance, it seems like you have made up your mind already that he's going to be a failure before he has even kicked a ball for us. Many seasoned Scottish footballers had stinking seasons by all accounts with St Johnstone last season one of which was highly regarded by us, I seem to remember Saints fans on Pie and Bovril moaning about Davidson deploying attacking-minded players in defensive roles last season.
